To remove the drivers side headrest use a little flathead screwdriver and pull the retaining clip back so that the indentation will pass, it’s in the same area you were at, pull back the leather cloth and you will see the clip.
7:14 yo Brian, be careful with those yellow plugs. Usually they mean airbags. Sometimes (not always) if you mess with airbag plugs while the car has power it will pop the airbags out. Make sure you unplug the battery before messing with them.
Did you end up having to replace the whole headrest since that plastic piece broke up? This exact thing happened to mine. The little plastic piece broke off on one side
