How cool (and relaxing) it is to watch the stylus ride through the grooves on a slick black surface as great music surrounds your head. It is a very unique pleasure...
I love Dire Straits, and this sounds so good! I bought a Hana EL when it was first released and before any reviews on the hope it would be good (it was!), but the MH takes it to another level. I have one of those Jelco headshells too - it's obviously a fine match for your lovely new tonrarm ;o)
I remember the hana EL, and I honestly think that the subsequent ML/MH series was definitely a step forward. Yeah, I remember your Jelco headshell. We're lucky to have one since Jelco is now out of business... Kind regards! :-)
It still baffles me how all of these beautiful sounds that we hear, high and low frequencies, all come from a needle on a wiggly groove made of plastic! 🥴
Sonido serio, por decirlo de alguna manera ;) El portacápsulas es un Jelco HS-30, lleva de serie los conductores de plata :) Pero ya sabes, Jelco 'got out of business'...
In my personal opinion: Pro Ject .............................................Stereophile Class B ARC modified by Luca Simoncini......Stereophile Class A
I've been using exclusively the ARC for months. The following recent videos have been recorded with the ARC: ruclips.net/video/AgoDlENzn6M/видео.html ruclips.net/video/RK85NeVnlzQ/видео.html I have both (as well as the Tube Box DS2) so I'll be alternating between them :)
Thank you for fine video ! Dire Straits is never enough. One advice: Please don't use silver headshell leads - it's overbright the sound. Copper OFC or RCOCC wires would be perfect.
My pleasure 🙂 I use copper with bright carts and silver with the rest. Anyway, the rest of the wires (tonearm & RCA) are high purity oxygen free copper 🙂
@@indy749 You mean the 'Setting Me Up' video? It's a totally different setup: cartridge, turntable, preamp...every link in the chain is different. I wouldn't dare to make such statement under these conditions. Now that the hana-jelco-tech-RS setup is assembled, I can rip the song 'Setting Me Up' only for comparison purposes ;-)
I have Rega, Thorens, Technics, Dual, AT and many others. Never tried Linn...maybe because it's not very common here. Anyway, if I showcase a Pro-Ject someone says 'take that garbage away' and put a Rega in its place. If I use a Rega, someone says 'not my cup of tea, why haven't you tried X?'. You know what I mean, LOL! You can't please everyone. When I have the opportunity I'll try a Linn TT. Thanks! 🙂👍
@@hifispongebob I know what you mean lol.. I have a Rega Planar 3 and a A&R legend and a dual cs505 ... I used to work in Hifi Shops many years ago setting up Linn's .. could never afford one back then ... they are good when setup well.. but not a huge difference from the Thorens etc... .. Love the stuff you do :)
It's super bright because MoFi boosted the treble like crazy to make it sound more detailed. They also cut it very hot. Most cartridges can't track this record properly which is a shame.

Sounds good. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic Quality & Best Song Thank You Sir🌹🌹🌹
My pleasure :) Thanks!
wow thats sounds lovely
That is a fine cartridge you got there! Beautiful in both looks and sound. 😁
Thank you!I love it :)
@@hifispongebob The Pro-Ject Phono Stage sounds pretty fine to me but I personally prefer the softer and melodic sound of ARC. :)

Sounds beautiful... the detail.... even the ' chinese ' notes sound more prominent. Keep up the fantastic music Amigo 🎶
This could be my favorite Dire Straits song.

Great recording & sound quality. Thxs 👍😎
Suena espectacular. Gracias! Así me hago una idea de cómo sonará la Hana ML con el Jelco.
Ese portacápsulas en maderita se sale.
Like 👍🏻!

Nice! One of my favorite albums. Did the ProJect Box RS replace ARC phono stage?

@@hifispongebob DS is definitely better sounds with ARC1LP (Setting Me Up) than with a ProJect Phono Box RS (here).

Digital sound now
Quite sibilant isn't it?

its funny how an average record on a $5,000 stereo, sounds so much better on a $10,000 stereo.
MFSL = No dynamics
It's very dynamic but the EQ is horrible.
