Thank you for talking about it, most doll collectors, (or in my case pony collectors) will make videos ‘hyping’ up the fact that some items are so rare and exclusive. I’m really glad you’re not doing that, because it, like you said, will show conglomerate companies that people will not let things like that slide.
Let's be honest, this situation won't be fixed until the dolls get a wide release and collectors can get the full set without stressing about it. I think the reason this got such a strong backlash compared to Mattel is simply because MGA has the reputation for being the more accessible doll company, especially for international collectors, so seeing them pulling the same shit only worse is just sickening.
wouldnt it be funny if mga appologized by making more katies and actually selling them in stores? like imagine if they just dropped a ton and totally screwed over all the scalpers by making their stock worth nothing. (i know its not going to happen but let me dream)

I’m seeing them going for an average of $200.00 and one is 299.00. Cady is $200.00 to $650. People are still bidding on her in this range. I can’t find the sold listings tab to check on all the dolls. I hope everyone who wanted them was able to get them and that MGA restocks the other dolls
MGA is very late to the online only collector game and oh God it's bad. I only have bought MH Eden and Wednesday and I got them in my small town Walmart. I got the only Wednesday doll the store never restocked anymore Wednesday doll's. I don't have the raven dance Wednesday doll but it's okay. I mainly wanted the main base dolls.
I got two Cadys and then one Regina and one of Gretchen and Karen. I wanted to get two full sets one to open and one to keep in box but since I got one full set I’ll keep them in box. If they do a restock then I’ll deff get the ones I need to have an out of box set! 🙌🏽
I prefer Gretchen to Cady. It was that way when the film came out. I actually liked Regina, Gretchen and then Janice. Cady is the catalyst for the story and maybe more moralistic than say Regina etc but not as fun. I think Gretchen gets many of the iconic lines and scenes. I'm not a Bratz person but was interested because of MG. I tried for these two, but sadly being in the UK, never using their site before, not having shop pay all went against me. There was one v easy captcha of a motorcycle. Then I got them in the cart and to check out, but I had to add all of my details then it would not let me pay. No idea what it didn't like but anyway nope. I switched to paypal but was dumped back in the queue then it was all sold out. I 100% think they will do this again. All that haha bestie, put it in the burn book from whoever is running the social media gives Mr the impression they loved all the MG hysteria, hype and publicity and they will do it again if they can hit on another desirable property like Mean Girls. They keep saying coming soon to UK fans, but also saying that they're not restocking. Hopefully, the new Myscene launch will be more sane.
I think MGA has gotten so much hate and backlash compared to Mattel bc the Bratz social media manager/intern/whatever tf has positioned themselves to seem like "one of us", especially with all that "bestie" crap, they've basically encouraged a para-social relationship with their social media team and are now copping the consequences of that with the extreme backlash they've gotten. if you wanna position a giant toy company as everyone in the fanbase's "bestie" then you're gonna have to deal with the backlash that gets you when you screw up to the extreme like this
I think the extra regina stock is only for the people who already placed their orders Not new ones being listed Can't remember where I heard that and you definitely know more than I do! So I could easily be wrong

I don't think it has as much to do with them being unpopular characters as it does the fact that people are just done with this collaboration and don't want to support it/Bratz after the way they've handled it all, I think they lasted a whopping 4 minutes instead of 2 bc so many people didn't bother to give it the time of day this time round

And the bad part is the crossover itself had the potential of being the most legendary drop MGA ever did. But they fumbled the ball SO BADLY on it!
