Jonathan Sims my beloved archivist!!! Everything about this game looks so cool and the fact that it's narrated by Jonathan Sims makes it all the more better!!
Statement of unnamed knight, regarding an encounter with a mysterious princess in the basement of an abandoned cabin, and the voice which apparently compelled him to approach her. Statement begins...
People who haven't played this game: "Oh, a mysterious cabin! How intriguing!" People who've beaten the game: "I get it already, there's a f*@king cabin, jesus christ."
Naw, at this point it’s looped all the away around to soothing. I skip some of the other dialogue, but I could listen to J Sims saying that opening line on loop forever.
I watched a let’s play of the Demo, and I must say this game is so promising! I have already drawn my fair bit of fan art since I loved the Princess character so much
This looks fantastic. All else equal, this game would certainly still be on my radar. But the fact that Jonathan Sims narrates this Really grabbed my attention.
SPOILERS!!! from what I've gathered in the beta is that if you go back in time (when you die) the "princess" will go back in time too meaning your connected to her. i think the narrator also remembers chapter 1 but acts oblivious. the environment changes when you try to run away in chapter 2 which also means the narrator is very powerful as he can change the space time continuum and put you in a neverending void.I think the "princess" gets stronger in chapter 2 also it is suspicious that she wasnt able to destroy the chain or chose not to destroy it.i believe the world we play in is a world created by the narrator because he's so powerful it wouldn't be a surprise if it's true.your arm looks weird it doesn't look like an arm of a human more like a hybrid between human and a reptile. conclusion: 1.your connected to the "princess" 2.narrator is powerful 3.the chains restraining her is strong 4.she gets stronger in chapter 2 5.the world is created by the narrator 6.your a human-reptile hybrid
Also the fact that the narrator doesn't give a specific reason why the princess can "destroy the world" and why she would do it is very suspicious. it creates even more questions
Actually, I think you've been in this situation for far longer than you should've been. Your nails grow longer because of the time experience difference between the narrator, princess and you, you've probably done this before and you're basically the only one normal here with aging so it's only naturally for your body to grow without grooming.
@@mgsgamer8340 when you see the scenes where the hero is holding the knife, you can see that there is nothing human about him. dark sharp claws, skin that resembles that of a bird's leg or a reptile and feathers that seem to be part of the arm (it is very little visible on the drawings and its appearance only on some scenes ).
My theory, the princess much like the Narrator have the ability to manipulate the story, based on your reaction she will change in chapter 2 to what she believes the story should be: You flirt with her = she becomes cuter You betray her = she goes feral The narrator fears this power since it might take away his ability of manipulation of the story. Second theory She truly is a beast that can only be contained if the person who kills her never leaves the cabin himself
What I find interesting is that despite everything the princess never attempts escaping until you show up. It's like she wakes up only when you show up. It could be the sake of the demo but it's odd that she seems to wait. Only because she has many forms and has been willing to just completely cut off her arm to do so. So why wait? The only other means of "stopping" her is a door and table. It just feels odd. I'm also curious as to if she only grows stronger based on the perceptions prior. Like if you grab the knife before hand she's a lot more hostile as opposed to without it. Meaning there's a clear link between your actions and her strength and probably why she gets stronger in chapter 2. Because she now has an audience to play tricks on. But that still doesn't mean world ending unless people start thinking that way. Edit: Also find it interesting that we're clearly bird like and at 1:07 there are clearly feathers appearing in the cracks. Maybe it's a reason as to why the MC has to kill the princess as it's some similar connection/curse?

But the only time he takes agency away from the hero is when the hero actively trusts the princess and frees her. Yet nothing suggests he couldn't do it before that point nor does he force a reluctant or even disinterested hero to go through with the slaying in a similar manner. Whether or not this means he respects the hero or doesn't care what happens so long as the hero and the princess do not team up is up in the air at the moment. There are other things that make things more complicated, but I'll leave it here for now. For the princess... I don't know. She definitely lies, that's blindingly obviously. And she really doesn't need our help to escape her chains (though she is trapped in the same cycle as the hero is). I do love a theory that one youtuber i watched play the demo mentioned, that the princess may act the way she does because she (just like our main character) is being manipulated by the narrator, i completely get if that's not where the story goes, but it is a fun thought
Watched a Let's Play of the demo and I must say, this is a very interesting game. But first, I must go through this path on the woods since there's a voice in my head telling me that I have to slay a princess in the basement of the cabin.
Whoa. This game changed a lot. But I have to admit, the way the Princess responded to the narrarator was hilarious! Well, it was funny until she got scary...
SCP-6649 The Princess Class Keter SCP-6649 is a humanlike creature with appereance of a beautiful woman. The object must be kept in a locked cell, at all times. SCP-6649 must be slayed, or else XK-class End of the World scenario will be triggered. When the person enters the object's cell, SCP-6649 will shape-shift and act like of what they expect from her. SCP-6649 will do anything to trick the person to not kill her, but free her instead.
SPOILERS//THEORY AHEAD i think that both the narrator and the princess are wizards. The princess because she probably "resets" and manipulates the time, causing the events of the game to repeat over and over while still retaining some memory of what happened in the past, note that everytime she dies or gets changed into a hideous monster does cause the scene to reset, although her form does not. I am guessing this is some attempt for her to get MC to actually solve the story and release her (maybe they'll help each other defeat the narrator in an update) That's because the narrator, the villain of the story who is also a wizard, is much more powerful than her. Being able to manipulate forms of structures and people (im guessing he turns the princess into a dangerous monster because he was also able to manipulate the cabin and form walls around the forest) A theory around the princess' chain is it being anti-magic, so that she cant use her powers to escape (only doing so once the narrator transforms her, and gives her powers according to what MC's perception of the princess) My theory around MC is that he's actually a kobold, kobolds in D&D are humanoid reptile like creatures, with height and build similar to goblins. They often serve as minions or low level creatures someone can order around. The (wizard) narrator is the boss of this kobold, who unwillingly takes part of this cruel game. Thats the reason why the narrator seemingly gets into the MC's head and makes them stab the princess, seemingly mind-controlling them. I'd like to think that this particular kobold didn't really like serving his master, and so was brainwashed into doing this, only partially retaining what good/reason he has left in his conscience.
This is a REALLY interesting game, definitly going to play it when it comes out, thinking this might just rival stanley parable in terms of storytelling, Edit:I also really like the voices mechanic, i wonder how many endings how can do with that. Edit:i also wonder if the narrator will qctually be the villain, but i hope not, it would be too predictable.
i love how i this trailer, the narrator can't hear the princess, but the princess CAN hear the narrator. In the game, it's the opposite

Whoa. This game changed a lot. But I have to admit, the way the Princess responded to the narrarator was hilarious! Well, it was funny until she got scary...
oke now i cant sleep anymore
I loved the demo! So excited for the full game to come out!
SCP-6649 The Princess
Class Keter
SCP-6649 is a humanlike creature with appereance of a beautiful woman.
Already. Very. Hyped.
When is the full game gonna come out?
SPOILERS//THEORY AHEAD
i think that both the narrator and the princess are wizards. The princess because she probably "resets" and manipulates the time, causing the events of the game to repeat over and over while still retaining some memory of what happened in the past, note that everytime she dies or gets changed into a hideous monster does cause the scene to reset, although her form does not. I am guessing this is some attempt for her to get MC to actually solve the story and release her (maybe they'll help each other defeat the narrator in an update)
That's because the narrator, the villain of the story who is also a wizard, is much more powerful than her. Being able to manipulate forms of structures and people (im guessing he turns the princess into a dangerous monster because he was also able to manipulate the cabin and form walls around the forest) A theory around the princess' chain is it being anti-magic, so that she cant use her powers to escape (only doing so once the narrator transforms her, and gives her powers according to what MC's perception of the princess)
My theory around MC is that he's actually a kobold, kobolds in D&D are humanoid reptile like creatures, with height and build similar to goblins.
Yo, this is really cool! I’m so excited for the release in 2023!
"You're here to slay her" has the same vibes as "When Stanley came to two open doors, he entered the door on his left."
"I can fix her." I can make her worse.
It's JONNNNYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a REALLY interesting game, definitly going to play it when it comes out, thinking this might just rival stanley parable in terms of storytelling,
Edit:I also really like the voices mechanic, i wonder how many endings how can do with that.
Edit:i also wonder if the narrator will qctually be the villain, but i hope not, it would be too predictable.
Is that Jonathan Sims (from TMA?)
"kill the princess, shinji"--gendo
"w-w-wwhat?"
"kill the princess, shinji, or rei will have to"
Making all my Inscryption X DDLC dreams come true! Please bring this to PlayStation!
This game is absolutely amazing!!!! I dont know how you managed to make a horror game that feels like a dark romance too! I love it
I certainly hope there’s an ending where the world implodes because we keep pointing out inconsistencies.
Gotta love it when your girl is a polymorph murderous bloodthirsty monster that *will* kill you if you become the tiniest inconvenience to her 😍
Omg so excited for this!!
Wait a minute.......
Holy shit, is that Johnny Sims?!
Jonathan michael stims😭😭😭😭😭
Very interesting game. Thanks to you, my winter vacation was fun!
I read Slay the Princess in an entirely different way.
It may be true in the full game... If you help her, just like in any other game like this, i.e. Sucker for love
