Funny timing, I carried my Nymble V1 yesterday for the first time in probably 6 months, I forgot how great that little knife is! I saw the thumbnail and had a little laugh to myself!
I got the Civivi Sentinel Strike in damascus (I wanted stainless) and I have say, out of all my Civivis it's my absolute favorite. The light weight for its size, ease of manipulation, action, lockup, and even the pocket clip and glass breaker are just really well done. I'm hoping they do a "sister" version (like the Ziffius to the Exciton) with a drop point, and while they're at it, change the base steel.
For pure fidget joy, I think you have to go with a crossbar or button lock. Just like the old flip phones, flipping a blade closed is just as satisfying as snapping it open. A liner lock doesn't allow you to do that, which takes away half the fun.
I am really starting to come around to fidgety knives. I love my Sentinel Strike. I had the cormorant before I knew how to use a front flipper and unfortunately sold it.
Damn Bellamy started my Vosteed addiction. One thing not mentioned very much is that the micarta on it is beautifully aggressive and angled in such a way that if you had to pierce...uh..something...slipping forward onto the blade would be hard to do.
I have that exact same Civivi Sentinel. While it's not exactly "cheap" and I would rather have better blade steel, man is it ergonomic and fidgety. 5 ways to deploy (you can hold it tip up and reverse flick for "gas station" (or as I call it, Filipino style) fighting). Great value knife, couldn't be more pleased with it.
You should do a video on like instructions for front flipping (if you haven't already). I have been trying and trying but can't get it for some reason. I've tried with the kizer Cormorant and a couple of civivi knives including the sentinel strike but maybe I'm just too weak.
Dude I love your content. I recently purchased my first "Thumb stud" knife. Kaviso mini penguin. Apparently, I did not understand how thumb studs function. I do now. But I think it would be cool and helpful because you do it so quickly. Show (possibly in slow-mo) how you engage the action. I originally believed it was a flick perpendicular to the handle.
It usually works best to push your thumb as much upward towards the pivot as you do outward to the side as you break the detent. But every design is a little bit different. The design of the stud, the placement, etc.. Just continue manipulating it and find what works best for the knife.
They did a cormorant XL but it is too XL IMO. I wish they would do a medium size cormorant but I dought they ever will because I think most people don't like the design but I love my frag titanium one. It's one of my most carried knives.
I was rly surprised by how light they kept the civivi sentinel while being like 9 inches w a 4 inch blade That being said I LOVE my Nymbal X v2 by emp edc
I've go a Cormorant xl it came as a two-fer from White Mountain. It's fantastic except the blade length to handle ratio is a little discouraging. Keep up the great ambidextrous content! Peace!
Really glad to see you dropped a mention for the Vosteed Gator - it's pretty nuts to "fidget" with a 4" blade that is also extremely competent as a cutting tool. I guess the whole Vosteed line counts under the "triple deployment" definition, don't it?
PSA : I got my Kizer Cormorant Ki4562E1 in 3V. Button lock. Nice brown macarta. I believe it was from White mountain knives. Yes it is very fidgety. A little small for me. But seemingly a good knife. UNTIL! You strike it on the spine of the blade. It will fail with very little force. I mean very little force! And every time. This is dangerous! I have read several posts from people saying they are happy with theirs. Am I the only one? I have always had good experiences with Kizer. However this is bad. If anyone has any input on this or knows how to remedy this. Do tell. Be careful. Thank you
@hulkssparrow5128 I was just being a clown. It's not bad. I do like the Bellamy a lot more though. Just wish it wasn't a clip point lol. The Bellamy has great action, detent, and the jimping is done really well. Plus all the deployment methods.
I am guessing you would want an axis lock or a button lock at that price point. Both those locking mechanisms should keep your fingies safe. The Kizer Dropbear might be something you would be interested in. This is a premium version but is this something that interests you?: www.kizerknives.com/collections/july-drop-bear/products/drop-bear-ki3619a3
If you use multiple different mechanisms to open and carry numerous different knives... then you're proficient at none of them. PICK ONE. I'm not buying any knives with these stupid, pointless, multi-deployment designs.
Actually, if you use all different deployments on all different knives you’ll become proficient at ALL OF THEM. You seem like a “glass half empty” kind of guy. What do you even care anyways? Nobody gives a fuck that you’re “not buying any knives with these stupid, pointless, multi-deployment designs.” So why do you care what we do with OUR KNIVES?
Funny timing, I carried my Nymble V1 yesterday for the first time in probably 6 months, I forgot how great that little knife is! I saw the thumbnail and had a little laugh to myself!
I love my gator. I got one when they first came out. Really enjoy using it.
I have an XL version of the cormorant with 3V. Love it

That's what I was thinking, anything but liner locks
Damn. I like all of those. Thanks Jared
Great list. Thanks Neeves.
Emp and many vosteeds are just my most fidget friendly knives. The valkyrie, thunderbird, and the bellamy too. Oh and i still need a a gator.
Yeah I almost threw the thunderbird but it's going to have its own video soon
I'm surprised you didnt include the Vosteed Labrador, picked one up a couple months ago. Love that knife.
yeah i didnt wanna make the whole video Vosteeds, however the Thunderbird has a video coming soon
I could not agree more that the Nymble deserves the top spot.
OEM'ed by QSP on the Nimble T. Super impressed with what QSP did this year.
I am really starting to come around to fidgety knives. I love my Sentinel Strike. I had the cormorant before I knew how to use a front flipper and unfortunately sold it.
yeah i think we all eventually do, i think we like that are knives are great cutting tools but they also have personality
Love the cormorant

I returned the sentinel strike. I wanted to love it so bad but the detent was too weak and too easy to fail. Maybe I got a bad one?
The sentinel strike was a suprise like for me for fidget and using . I couldn’t believe the strong detent on my example .
Yeah they do a great job on the button lock
The kizer cormorant xl was a white mountain knives exclusive i don't think they are available anymore
You should do a video on like instructions for front flipping (if you haven't already). I have been trying and trying but can't get it for some reason. I've tried with the kizer Cormorant and a couple of civivi knives including the sentinel strike but maybe I'm just too weak.
Great video😊
BIG FAN OF THE FAT CARBON CORMORANT. I NEVER SPENT SO MUCH MONEY ON A KNIFE BUT GOD DAMN WHAT A KIFE. FIDGET KING. CAN'T GO WRONG
Vosteed Thunderbird: Front Flipper, rear and top flipper, hole, and fuller?
The Gator replaced my work and home knife. Any idea when titanium is coming out?
i cant find the valk with black g10? only grey g10 and a black micarta

I want a cormorant xl but liner lock.
have 3 of the drop point Nimbles, 2 still in box, selling for $200.00 each

where did you find the black G10 scales for the valkyrie?
on the vosteed site
I love how Yue Dong (doctor_edc) is dominating this video. He is the designer of Vosteed and the Kizer Cormorant.
Thanks bro.
I'm surprised you mentioned the Cormorant without it's spiritual successor, the Vosteed Thunderbird. Very similar functionality and fidget factor
Button lock fail on version too 😮
@Hungrybird474 I've got a blue aluminum Thunderbird and the lock is fine.
So I found out ... @@Hungrybird474
The thunder is goingvto have its show in a couple days
OMG!! I need that!❤❤❤😊
I was rly surprised by how light they kept the civivi sentinel while being like 9 inches w a 4 inch blade

Almost ordered a Nimble 2(blue speed holes), but the zirciti kit was out of stock lol
I've go a Cormorant xl it came as a two-fer from White Mountain. It's fantastic except the blade length to handle ratio is a little discouraging. Keep up the great ambidextrous content! Peace!
How long is the blade
@@NeevesKnives Blade is 3 3/8 and the handle is 4 1/2.
I don't fidget with any frame locks at my desk anymore. Button locks just have a better fidget factor, and less chance to cut you.
I'll take my Demko over any of these any day for fidget factor.
i have a ton of knives i like to fidget with, this video was about triple deployment knives
U should include golden designworks caliber
I don't have one but I do have a video
I require no less than 6 deployment options 😜
i should design a knife with atleast 6 deployments lol that would be awesome
Why is D2 bad? My Sencut Serene has had no issues.
Damn I’m trying to not get that arctic storm magna nine and sell some others now I’m looking at Nimble T’s 😂
You can't go wrong with either
Really glad to see you dropped a mention for the Vosteed Gator - it's pretty nuts to "fidget" with a 4" blade that is also extremely competent as a cutting tool.
I guess the whole Vosteed line counts under the "triple deployment" definition, don't it?
I prefer the Nymble X v2 to the T
I personally don’t count a fuller as a deployment method
This is mostly a Yue Dong showcase. 😂❤
Brown FSD is the Champs champ 🏆
yeah probably but i dont have one and most people cant get them
Can I sample your video audio clips in my rap album?
sure thing
You forgot the Indiana knives EDZ!!!
Yeah if I had one I totally would
I think the first one failed the spine wack test.
The Valkyrie? Mine passed several times. Fun little piece. Makes a cool "pwoit" sound when deploying as well.
The Thunder fails horribly
@FrankW-xy1cu I've seen videos about that. I just received the second version (smaller version) and it has no issues.

the valk is trash imo. the bellamy is superior.
Trash..?

@@KnifeFanaticno, you were right the first time. The Valk is terrible
@@TheWhiskyExplorer lol true. I've had worse knives though.
But how is it terrible?
The serape always reminds me of the lbgtqusa+ flag 😂
When I spend $200+ on a knife I'm expecting something more than a frame/liner lock. (Prefer my digits stay at 10)😂
What's your preference?

I wish it was a little bit taller, i wish i was a baller, i wish i had a girl who looked good i would call her.
Sorry, couldn't resist. 😊
Wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six four impala
We need to stop trashing D2 it’s 2023 cmon
Why are you so nervous in your actions, I could barely see what the knives look like.
What are you even talking about
If you use multiple different mechanisms to open and carry numerous different knives... then you're proficient at none of them. PICK ONE. I'm not buying any knives with these stupid, pointless, multi-deployment designs.
Laughably moronic take.
whyyy soooo serioussss? 😂🥳🤡
Seems you missed the time old saying "one is none"...... 🤦🤦

Yeah it's obviously for fun however I have noticed thar having 2 deployments can be useful in timing etx
BangGang! They do have XL Cormorants.
Yeah I have never seen it though it's mysterious
