Chicago is always busy. I learned not to mess with leaving downtown cold storage at 11AM as everyone is trying to go to lunch and some people leaving work going home plugging up the interstate. I usually just get my off load and then get a reload as quick as I can in the early morning to get out of downtown Chicago other wise setup for a snooze in the afternoon and leave around 5PM to get out of there with ease of all the traffic jams and construction around. Used to run from Chicago to New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, etc every week for few years. When Hwy 30 was like running the interstate nice and good 4 lane highway all the way over to Mansfield, Ohio. Then cut up to I-71 then over to the big roads. Avoid all the state troops and Convoy 5or 6 379"s from friends in different companies cause we meet up in small truck stop almost like clock work every Monday evening. Good old days and talking on the CB's and hauling ass.

I just have a little peanut diesel 5.9 Cummins in the Y2K Dodge 4x4 6sp.Detroit locker in rear, Detroit Tru-trac up front with chromemoly axles, exhaust brake, 100 gallons of fuel, 400hp/800tq. 300k miles and runs good as new. Yes, You can even put them where You know You're going to use them most often but, they will save You. I have used them for years. Buy them (Each Strap ) at Harbor Freight for half the price of the truck stop, they will last a long time and will hold your Freight in place even at -5 and cooler with NO Movement.

wings are supposed to help a minimum of 8 percent . they do work I used to run my trucks from ft wayne to atlanta with the same exact loads every time. We saved 15.00 everytime we fueled with the skirted trailers over the non skirted trailers
