Interesting…when I owned my Yamaha Rhino many moons ago Yamaha sent me a letter telling me to remove the rear sway bar. Yamaha was right…The Rhino was actually better without it.
@@OdysseyOffroad I’ll be curious to see what the front will do. I removed the front on my YXZ. It actually improved the ride and articulation. Made the transitions at the dunes easier too.
Buddy, put some miles on her, some good hard miles and report back before you dissuade people. Take some fast sweepers on a wide open fire road with and without and tell me you don't prefer that disconnected. You should get the proper feeling with it disco'd and much better rock crawling. Learn how to ride
For slow crawling it would have been fine but I do a lot of mix riding with some high-speed in between so it was too much with it off. I also do not have the machine anymore.
@@OdysseyOffroad I have my front/rear spring preload set to max per the manual since I'm trying to narrow my stance to be 62" compliant for some trails here and I have the quick disconnects installed and I tried rocking the back like you did and it wasn't as bad as yours. I have the 2021 RMAX4 LE.
Yeah but that really all depends man you can't compare an off-road vehicle too a vehicle driven on the street. On a lot of side by sides taking the sway bar off makes it perform a lot better off road. There's no one way fits all when it comes to off roading. I have had plenty of machines where it performs better. On this particular machine thats not the case.
@@OdysseyOffroad it probably does handle better off road a little more give in un even rocky stuff on a road it probably makes it more stable turning either way I’m leaving mine alone
@@OdysseyOffroad I got a 2022 limited r max bought it last oct haven’t ridden much I’m in Minnesota trails still closed snow just melted soon I’ll try it out
Very interesting. I have a 2 seater Rmax and I was riding some winding dirt roads this weekend with my front (only) swaybar disconnected doing 30 to 40 mph and it wasn’t that bad. Definitely handled better when I reconnected it, but was totally manageable being disconnected. I wonder what makes the 4 seater handle so different? 🤔

Interesting info. I was hoping it would perform more like the 2 seater but obviously not lol

@@DUNEATV yea I am curious as well. I removed the front on a couple other machines with more positive results.
@@OdysseyOffroad I’ll be waiting!
Good car.
Very good indeed. I really am enjoying it.
Thanks for tuning in!

Glad I saw this video! I removed the front and now wanted to remove the rear, now it stays on for sure. Howdy from North East Mesa! (Bulldog canon)
🤘🏻
Great video Joe. Nice to see trial and errors. Keep ‘em coming.
Yes sir! Thanks for watching!
LEAPIN LARRY!!!
You can have your cake and eat it too with quick disconnect links.
Honestly it wasn't worth it tbh

Totally different rear suspension.
