My wife and I were at his show a few years back when he did his show with a broken foot or ankle on a cart. We bought nosebleed seats and realized it was a cozy venue that seats about 200 people. I’d been a fan of CT since I was a kid and I’ve always wanted to see him. About 10 minutes before the show was to start an usher came up to us and asked if we would like to sit up front? We both looked at each other and said “sure what’s the catch?!” Usher said “no catch it’s just that there’s 2 empty seats up front and CT doesn’t want empty seats up front.” No BS! I laughed from beginning to end non stop. At the end of the show CT rode his buggy over and hi fived me. Thank you CT for making a middle aged dad with depression happy and laugh❤️🥕🔥

I used to be a dealer in Vegas and I want to explain why the casinos never lose.it comes down to the amount of people playing and the fact that they have budgets compared to their opponent (the casino) that doesn’t. Those games very slightly favor the casinos (less than one percent in almost every game) but at the end of the day they still favor the casino. Have 500 players at a time and that half a percent advantage means they’re winning 2-3 hands every minute. From an individual level the casino wins because the game ends when you stop it. When you turn $100 into $200 people get this invincible feeling like they can do it again so they keep playing or come back again at a later date. Eventually since the odds are in the casinos favor they will lose and all the casino has to do is keep playing until that happens. Sure there’s a fair chance that the person who lost their hundred could put in another hundred and win their original hundred back but typically that first hundred was their budget so they won’t do that. The games are fairly even (again, it’s typically less than 1 % advantage) so players don’t feel like they’re getting robbed when they play and they really aren’t which leads them to come back but when you have those odds on such a large scale it’s hard to lose money. If you really want to break even while gambling, take advantage of players cards and get your free drinks, your free rooms, dinners, movies and everything else they offer. Take advantage of it and most importantly enjoy yourself. When you gamble at a casino look at it as paying for entertainment, not competing for a payday.
If you struggle with gambling addiction and find yourself in a casino but have a moment of clarity, talk to a Pitt boss about it. The casinos make enough money off people enjoying themselves, they don’t want to take your rent money away from you or food out of your mouth. As a dealer I was always in reach of pamphlets on how to get help with your addiction but you’d have to ask before I give you one (so I don’t offend anyone by calling them an addict). I will always remember this one lady who lost around $500 at my table and then told me “I need to get that back, it’s my rent money” before waking to the cage to ask for a loan. It breaks my heart to see so please if you find yourself in that position, ask for help. The casino doesn’t want to ruin your life they want to make it more fun, the same as any other entertainment industry.
I’m sure I wasn’t perfectly accurate in what I said but I’m just letting you know what I observed while dealing in Vegas. Good luck everybody!
P.S. the dealer wants the player to win. The casino pays them hourly no matter what but if the player is winning they’re more likely to tip. Feel free to ask the dealers advice and 99% of the time they’ll be telling you what the best strategy is. Don’t forget to tip them even if it’s a few bucks.

Everything I ever won from a casino, even if I cashed out and left, I ended up going right back in later and giving it all back over to them. You don't win money from a casino. You simply hold their money for them temperarily.

    • @55tristin55
      @55tristin55 2 года назад +4

@@dropfry like I said... treat it as paying for entertainment, not a way to make money. If you want to come out somewhat on top get a players card. Depending on how much you gamble you’ll get discounted if not free rooms and some nice steak dinners ( and more). If you’re not enjoying it, don’t play.

They could hit on 18 get a 3 but then that makes you get the 10 when you double down on 11 otherwise you would have got the 3 giving you 14. What other people do could hurt you or help you. Texas Holdem is absolutely based on skill. Having said that, there’s certainly luck involved, which is why poor players can win on any given night. Additionally, if you do something wrong (play poor cards against a raise, call large bets on gut shot straight draws, etc), you are losing money mathematically to the other player. You can still win any given hand, but over time those strategies will lose. Therefore, it doesn’t make sense for other players to say “what are you doing, that’s wrong” and so on because you’re playing a losing strategy against them, they should be friendly and congratulate you when you do win.

As a stunt artist I’m sure you can understand the addictive quality of adrenaline flooding your system again and again. And yes there is definitely skill involved in poker. It’s a game of skill not just chance, with many levels of play.

Second, I love when I am able to take someone's card on blackjack, and they usually just say "you got me haha" being from the midwest. Third, Vegas is a money trap. Both times I have gone I never came out postive but with legal weed, public drinking, free drinks while gambling, it's a great time regardless.

There is such a thing as basic strategy in blackjack that dictates when you should hit and when you should hold. You likely made a mistake that caused both you and the other player to lose, when the correct call would have seen you both win.

They are not playing the game you play when you sit down opposite a dealer at a casino though. If you are playing a dealer, the house has an advantage of 2-2.5% per hand. It is blind luck of the draw, with a tiny bit of strategy.
If you are playing other people in a poker room, the house takes 10% or so of the pot per hand up to $4-5, or a set percentage of tournament winnings. You are paying rent.
      The house always wins.

The house has an edge in any game in which you are playing against them such as blackjack or roulette, as the famous saying goes, “the house always wins.”
However in poker you are playing against other players so there is definitely a lot of skill involved mixed in with some luck of course.

Blackjack is susceptible to card counters, but counting cards is not illegal.
If people are smart about it, they know when to move on
My dad has a friend that has always gone to Vegas every year and always brings back thousands. No doubt that he is a card counter, but he has figured it out, and always comes back in the positive.
