- They say good things come in threes, so we rounded up Lilla Crawford, the current Broadway Annie star and former Broadway and movie Annies after the show in the "Katie" Green Room to share their favorite "Annie" moments in the spotlight!

I always said there are only 2 requirements for Annie, she has has to be precocious and ridiculously adorable.
My favorite part of "Annie" is that she never loses hope that someone will love her.
Just seeing Aileen Quinn makes me smile. Oh, how I idolized her as a kid. She's still so cute, too! :)

I totally agree I was obsessed with her and the original annie movie...she was so adorable..and I loved all the actors in the original..so much better then all the other movies
AILEEN! That film will forever remain one of my favorites, I don't care what the critics have to say. Everyone was perfectly cast. Bernadette Peters, Tim Curry and Carol Burnett were at the top of their game. "We love you, Miss Hannigan!"

When I played Annie, my fave part was sitting on the sofa and watching Mark - my Daddy Warbucks - sing "Something Was Missing." Our blocking was such that it seemed as if time had stopped, and Daddy Warbucks was musing to himself, not singing directly to Annie.
Call it the magic of the theatre, a combination of the acting, of the heartfelt way Mark sang, the way the lights haloed around him from behind, the shine in the eyes of the people sitting in the front row, but I always really looked forward to that number.
I never had to pretend I was crying for my next line.

Aileen's "Maybe" always brought tears to my eyes. It was such a sad feeling. However, when she held Molly in her arms it made me feel better. But when they show the other orphans in their bed not having been "tucked in" by their loving parents it made tears stream down my face again. But Aileen's smile kept piercing through all those dark clouds!!!!
I know "Tomorrow" was the favorite song, sung by countless little girls over the generations of the musical. But I feel the most underrated and best song of the show is "Maybe." I'm now a middle-aged orphan, having lost both of my parents, and that song means even more to me now than when I saw Annie performed on stage decades ago.

Tomorrow has been my ultmate favorite Broadway song and moment since I was 12 years old. I am 45 now. It is the greatest Broadway moment. Well, particularly when Andrea McArdle did/does it. No one can belt out or has that beautiful tone and clarity of vocal ability like she does. She will always be my favorite Broadway star.
my favorite part is when she wins over Mr. Warbucks talking about how much fun she had, just by being in his house and giving Sandy a bath. That was too adorable!
I️ played Annie a few months ago at my high school and my favorite part was singing Maybe on opening night and looking at all the children and singing to them. I️t was such a surreal experience and I️ will remember I️t forever
I love that they are all together! ANNIE has always been one of my favorite musicals I watched the movie when I was a little girl and have followed the performances ever since.
My favorite part in the movie is "We Got Annie". The dancing is MAGNIFICENT!

I love when Sandy comes out at the end of the show. Especially the dog that's on broadway right now. Super cute!

I played warbucks, and my favourite part of the show was probably the beginning of NYC. Me, grace, and Annie got to stand on a balcony, and it felt so cool.
I played pepper in the play and I have to say it's such a great story and it's so much fun to perform! I've watched those two ladies ever since I was a little girl and it's so crazy to see them now and the current Annie (who I know from into the woods) is super talented and very lucky!
I have loved Annie since I can remember! I remember that was one of the only movies I could sit through entirely. I can remember wanting to audition to play as Annie and sing all of the musical numbers. I love all of the songs but I think my favorite part is when they sing "Tomorrow". That song picks me up no matter what mood I'm in!

I loved all the songs for it was my 2nd Broadway show I have been to. I was there on 12/12/12 and felt so bad for Lilla when she fell but I was hoping and praying that she recovered fully for she was so fantastic throughout the show.

I am English and last week I came to NYC for the first time and we saw Annie! Lilla is extremely talented and Jane Lynch is hilarious!
When I was a kid I watch 1999 Annie and I would dance and sing along to all songs, my favourites were hard knock life and smile. Side note: I can still dance to it, I thought I'd forgotten but nope! lol

We did Annie for our fifth grade musical. The girl who got cast as Annie in Annie was just amazing. Our last performance was last Thursday. I am a 5th grade graduate

Cool video, saw it in local players' guild in 2010, had a great Annie who said "it was only a dream" so soothingly, whereas others do it more matter-of-factly. Fun to see different ways they direct it. (Again, though, like Andrea said, some depends on how good the mics are.) I think my favorite part is how positive she always is (being handicapped it's something I'm drwn to) and how she tries to lift everyone's spirits. Favorite song, "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile and "Tomorrow" - I *love* how in the 2012 one the girls are all playing with Miss Hannigan's clothes,s aw it on RUclips and it's *so* much like girls would do! I wrote one Annie fanfic that's actually a "FUll House" one talking about how one group directs it - and about the Annie/Molly friendship and bonding. (There's a way you can imply int he musical Moly is adopted too, but as my character who plays MOlly says, she has to "tell the story with ehr face" at the end. When I played Annie I loved belting out "Maybe" at the beginning of the show, and Sandy popping out of the box as a Christmas present to Annie as they sang "We're getting a new deal for Christmas" :)!!!
I played Pepper (Main Orphan) in the play Annie when I was 12 and it was the most fun production I’ve ever been in. Just growing up watching the movies Annie, Original version and Disney version, it was so special for me to actually feel like I was apart of it.
Wow, 3 Annies! You are so right, all the songs in the show are great. My favorite is Maybe because if this little girl in an orphanage has dreams, maybe we can dream too.

I just love that. The dog is so wonderful. Lila I think you are just an amazing little girl...Aileen I watched Annie every day and still do ~ you are my FAVORITE ANNIE!!...Andrea your Annie cd was the first Annie album I ever owned ~ I had to buy more because I replayed it all the time. The song "TOMORROW" got me through hard times especially when my mom passed away! I just love ANNIE and hope my kids will too!! Thanks for all your wonderful performances all 3 of you! Can't wait to see you Lila!
I just got to preform at a gala in a choir with the original Broadway Annie, she is so talented and so nice. It was so cool getting to meet her in person and when we had our first rehearsal together (it was actually this morning; I literally just got home from the gala) she was actually astonished by our choir since we’re kids; the oldest ones are 17-18ish and the youngest ones are 8 or 9, so she wasn’t expecting much from us. But it was so fun and she’s such an inspiration.

My fantasy is for all of the Annie's to do a tribute to all of the cast members over the years singing "I Don't Need Anything But You" which I always think should have been titled "Forever Together". I have two favorites Hard Knock Life because all the girls sing and dance in it.
My other favorite is "Sandy" from Aileen's movie. I love at the end of the song when Aileen sings "Sandy will always be there.".

Annie had such a huge impact on my life, I'm 36 now and still love it. I show it to my kids and they love it too. I wanted desperatly to be like the actress that played Annie (so great to see her in this interview). As for my favourite parts and my kids favourite they love. "It's a Hardknock life" and "I think I'm gonna like it here". I used to love lying in my bed and getting mum to put the blanket over me just so I could pull it back and sing I think I'm gonna like it here :)

I play Kate and Connie Boylan in our high school's production, and I'd have to say my two favorite scenes is the first Never Fully Dressed and NYC, even though I'm not in it. Do you girls know I still constantly run into people who insist that Aileen is the first Annie and the only other Annie is Quvenzhane. I haven't gotten to see every Annie. I miss the 80s when every year Annie, among other shows performed for the Macy's parade. I live all Annies, but two have always melted my heart just a little more. Shelley Bruce and Alicia Morton. However no Annie scream could shatter chrystal except Aileen.
