Ever since then when woman calls me immature for being jealous, I turn the tables on them and show them just how immature I can be.

Helen was delusional. Faithful and good men DO NOT LIKE TO SHARE THEIR WIVES. She was obstinate in going out with Tommy Boy. As soon as she did, she broke the marriage vows and betrayed OP. OP's revenge plan was cunning. He exposed the affair to AP's wife Stella in real time. (Loved how she took him to the cleaners in their subsequent divorce!) Through the great work of the PI, OP found out this wasn't Tommy's first rodeo, but that he had affairs with several women in his office and broke up at least two other marriages. I love how he twisted the knife a little deeper in Helen's back each time he described his and Candy's sexcapades. He kept reminding her that going out on a date with her boyfriend Tommy Boy was a betrayal of the marriage vows, and he was wise in getting a post-nuptial agreement that was heavily in his favor. Loved the ending of how one of the betrayed husbands beat the crap out of Tommy Boy at a pub. (It was Douglas, the BH of Jennifer, with whom Tommy Boy was having an affair with.)
Helen actually betrayed her marriage some time before her date with Tommy.
When she started having secret intimate conversations with Tommy, and kept it from POV, that was the initial betrayal. Everything else after that was just a continuation of that betrayal.

The marriage is over the second there's a declaration involving a third party. She stayed with him out of fear of being alone, not love. Why he took her back is beyond words.
When in real life the man accepts the woman back, he must know that he will have a miserable and distrustful life.
For all that are reading comments 1st, he took her back after cheating. The story wants to paint him as getting even but it's too boring and typical. It's the typical weak husband who can't make a decision and ends up caving.

Smart to get a post nuptial agreement for suffering through the counseling for almost a month. But after another six months to a year just dumper ass! Neither of them will be able to forget the images they saw of their spouse with someone else, and no spouse wants to act like a parent instead of a partner. There can be no love without respect and they obviously don’t respect or trust each other anymore. Both are just prolonging their suffering, and should just end it with a divorce.

In my experience, I have found women say they are depressed when they are just bored.. find a hobby that isn't destroying families. Only after they realize they were just bored and that they destroyed the families involved is when the real depression kicks in.
