I had him on my fantasy football when he was with Atlanta out up decent numbers because Jerry Glanville opened up the offense I think George had Andre Bad Moon Rison then as well
@@MaximusWolfe I think George could play, but he was stuck on some mediocre teams or worse (the 1999 Vikings was his best bet, and I'm of the mind that he rescued that particular season for them), and if he didn't blow up on June Jones on national television in 1996 maybe more people would give him a break. But yeah, George seemed to lack a patience that made him appear petulant, plus his college career of switching schools didn't do him any favors. His career wasn't all it could've been and not completely his fault (the 1991 Colts? Wow, he was actually what was positive about that team; well, him and the always reliable Rohn Stark), but he had a hand in some of the things that went wrong.
@JBSptfn Yeah, I agree that the 1991 Patriots showed some promise and spark, but in the end I don't think their roster was hearty enough to handle higher expectations in 1992 (plus injuries and MacPherson's health, although a glance at their 1992 draft shows they at least picked some good future players like Sam Gash & Kevin Turner). Still, between those 1989-1992 seasons for the Patriots, that 1991 team offered competitive ball that could put a smile on one's face.
Good week, lots of exciting & competitive games: the Saints season began to unravel a bit after their loss to the Chargers, the Colts gave the Bears a fight, the patriots threw a scare into the Jets, the Broncos may've gotten away with one against the Chiefs (was Elway over the line of scrimmage? According to the rules, I think so), Jimmy Johnson had a bit of a meltdown in The Meadowlands...but a sad note on what happened with Mike Utley.
As much as I disliked Peyton Manning when he played simply because he was the threat he was, it’s never comfortable seeing the Colts or most teams struggling like here for the Colts in 1991. *btw the Jets Packers and Steelers don’t count for sympathy 😁
Yes, I honestly consider them to be the best team of all time. Not saying that another classic Super Bowl team couldn’t beat them but I think if they play any team 10 times the Redskins win 7 times. Yes, that includes modern teams, the old 70s Steeler teams, the 80s 49ers, etc.
@@MaximusWolfe This team did everything right: overcame injuries, bad weather, won close games, blew teams out, offense, defense, special teams...all strong. They were predicted to play in the Super Bowl (though sportswriters like Dr. Z picked the Bills over them in the game), and there was never any doubt that it would be any other way. A wire-to-wire team that also played a tough schedule; I feel they check ever box for what a great team is about.
My 8th bday & Andre rison was my fav player lol good times
Jeff George shows his maturity is a sentence that I never thought I would hear
Lol
He had some talent but no poise.

#JeffGeorge - #OVERRATED!
I love how the helmets appear from opposing corners on the screen and then clang together before the highlights begin. those memorable little touches
91 redskins were the best team I ever saw. No flaws and the perfect mix of sage vets and young upstarts. The perfect storm.
That team was loaded.
Young upstarts? The 91 Redskins were an aging team
1992 Cowboys do u mean lol or 1975 Steelers
94 49ers
The '91 Skins were one of the GOAT. There's not many teams, even to this day, that could go toe-to-toe with them.
To this day, it's easy for me to enjoy the enthusiasm displayed by Dick MacPherson: I feel he was a bright light in a dark era for the Pats.

This would be the final regular season loss for the '91 Cowboys.
5:18 Jets at Patriots
Jeff George showing his maturity.... Sure Tom

That redskins team as so good. Arguably he best team of that decade?
Some consider them the best Super Bowl winner of all-time; for me, they'd be no worse than the top 3, and I believe a strong case can be made for #1.

They went 17-1 in games they actually tried. They certainly would have a case.
