A comparison review between Chanel classic flap M/L & Reissue 225 and between Classic flap jumbo and reissue 226.
Dimensions (from my own measurement):
Reissue 225: 9.4" x 6.3" x 3" (24 x 16 x 7.5 cm)
M/L classic flap: 10" x 6.3" x 2.5" (25.5 x 16 x 6.5 cm)
Reissue 226: 11" x 7" x 3.5" (28 x 18 x 9 cm)
Jumbo classic flap: 11.8" x 7.7" x 3.5" (30 x 19.5 x 9 cm)
After the recent price increase, no more Chanel classics for me!

Difficult question. I can't choose between the M/L and the reissue 225. One of them would be a great piece to keep ... depends what style you like between reissue or classic flap. I have just got the 225 so I can't really answer your question now which one I reach for the most. Maybe I'll tell you later in few months. Thanks.

Do you notice any sagging of the leather for the reissues? I've seen pictures where the leather will sag and scrunch up at the top where the straps are, do you notice anything like this? I have the caviar reissue and would love to get it with the distressed lambskin but i'm afraid of the wear/tear on it.
The sagging at the bottom is normal for reissue, designed to have a crease at the bottom for easy storage and packing when travel. I have no issue with sagging at the strap area. The distressed calf indeed is very tough and durable . Thanks!

Does the reissue only come with distressed leather ? Does it not come with the normal smooth lambskin?
+Tina Groans It only comes in aged calfskin. Seasonal pieces will pop up in caviar as well. Most recent seasonal "trend" is the reissue in denim.
oh ! actually after i left this comment, i went online and saw there is the reissue in lambskin, however it's very rare cos mostly was in the aged distressed leather.. but thanks anyway :)

I never heard of 226. Does anyone know what that means?
+skess94 Yes. The small we call the 225, and then it goes 226 for the medium, 227 for the large/jumbo etc. The 225/small was the medium before (there was a 224 bag that got discontinued), so it is less confusing to say 225. If you go to a Chanel store, they won't know what it means, because it is not the official terms. The bag isn't called a reissue either. At Chanel a "reissue 225" would be called a "small classic 2.55 bag". The terms 225, 226 etc was develloped on forums such as thepurseforum, I believe. Everyone uses the term there:) Exactly why we call it 225 I am not sure about. Maybe because it has 5 stitches per diamod, while the 226 has 6 stitches, the 227 7 stitches etc. It is kind of a bag nerd slang term;)
I also asked about the terms 226, 227 at 2 different Chanel stores and the sales associates do not use any of those terms to indicate handbag sizes and it is correct to say that it's just lingo for we the consumers to use in describing sizes of a 2.55 handbag
Vini Johnson True. I think calling them "small", "medium" etc is a very poor description, because they add and remove sizes....
the name of the bag is 2.55 and not 22.5 :)
