A mod that at least deserves a mention with immersive engineering: immersive railroading. An INSANE mod that adds trains in life-size.
Only few people care about that thing since most of us doesn't care about train and stuff, dude.

The Aether mod will always hold a special place in my heart, and hearing that the creator got hired by mojang makes me so excited for the future of the game. I hope one day it does become a normal part of the game
me too i was acutally one of those people who though if you made an aether portal in the vanila game it would work unfortualy i was disappionted when someone told me you needed to install a mod i did not know how to get mods back then

it is possible, but Littletiles would be better for the job.
@@bobisnotaperson little tiles should really just be here instead of chisel and bits. it's just an exclusively better version. it can do all the same stuff and more, you can make doors, any type of angle, scale models and a bunch more.
Another thing to note about Bibliocraft: It had a neat feature in which you can make any random image you find into a poster! So you can have a poster of your favorite tv show or video game in your minecraft room or something. Its pretty cool
Too bad the mod is no longer in development. Great mod while it lasted (used to be an absolute must-have for me when playing the game), but it seems after 1.12, the mod's auther, Nuchaz, either lost interest in modding (or Minecraft in general), or became too busy with real-life obligations.

What about DivineRPG, Essence of Gods, Eternal lsIes, Journey to the light and Pixelmon? (Eternal isles and aoa are the same mod. Same goes for journey to the light and essence of Gods but they are separate lesser and greater versions of themselves.)

One of my personal favourites were tinker's construct, divine rpg, aether (obviously), custom npcs, and animal bikes. I absolutely ADORED animal bikes :D

Ars Magica, Witcher, Divine RPG, Tale of Kingdoms, Mcheli, More TnT, and Dragon Mounts. Some of these are very old but they are classics and all should have been included.

The lack of terrafirmacraft, chisel, decocraft, carpenter's, botania, ars magica, astral sorcery, blood magic, witchery, and a lot of popular mod which are so close to the heart to the modded community makes me a little sad, but the list is great, a lot of mods that are not popular but deserve it, and just all around great video, good job

@@Gobnim there is no way that all mods here are playable in 1 version because some mods got never updated and some mods are still new but if u ask me i would choose 1.7.10 version because this version has the most variety of mods aviable
The only mod I'd include would be CustomNPCs. This is a really high quality list - this truly is the best of the best mods from the last decade.

@Renagadde IKR I admit Noppe's website is a bit shady especially if you've never been to it, but I've never had any problems installing it in the past, so all I can say is check your versions, or just don't get it

The lord of the rings mod was the first mod i ever played, and it was amazing, it still has a special place in my compu I mean heart
I’m disappointed they didn’t add the legends mod it’s probably my favourite mod of all time it adds a ton of pop culture stuff l8ke you can make your own Jedi or fight venom on mars
“The One Probe” is better than waila, it even shows if you can or cant break a block, its just better in general, and in huge tech mod-packs, there are many ores, and it would be VERY useful to know if your tool can break it or not
There’s an addon for HWYLA/WAILA called Waila Harvestability that does the same thing
Hey, could you some day include the "Advent of Ascension" Mod maybe in some video? It is a rather unknown mod on curse, but it is getting updates. This mod has an entire system of Magic, skills, bosses, weapons, difficult mobs and it also adds more than 20 new dimensions.
i tried playing it and it seemed to be quantity over quality
@@a_cats I personally have never heard of the mod, and I'd like to think of myself as an expert in Mods. What do you mean by quantity over quality? Do you mean that the mod has a bunch of features but none of them are good?
@@Miscodes From my experience the mod is completely unplayable. They add so many mobs that my world gets extremely flooded with them, really unfun.
@@Miscodes Yea, that's what I mean, also I remember that it used to have stolen sprites from Terraria though I don't know if they've changed them now
I tried it recently, it's not that bad, I actually quite liked it. It seems to add more Terraria-like progression into Minecraft while still feeling like it's own entity. Each dimension has different things to explore for and grind for, each dimension has at least 1 boss to fight, the bosses drop unique gear whether it be greatswords, guns, etc. I'd say this mod is the closest to making Minecraft more like Terraria. There are a lot of mobs though, and I don't know about them stealing Terraria sprites, I just started playing Terraria as well, I haven't seen any so far, but I just got to hardmode so that that for what you will. Honestly, give it a shot, at the very least it's fun to mess around with! I've definitely seen lower-quality dimension mods.
Play it on 1.12.2 though, Its a bit better on that version

Video recommendation for annual remakes of this video duo...
When 2021 comes around try to find mods that don't have extreme similarities or requirements like forge and fabric incompatibility along with extensive information on which of the 100 mods can be used together in mod packs. Might take longer but it would be much more informative and increase the series to 100+ mods and make a trilogy video series for Minecraft modding worth investing watch time.
Clef mod deserve a place here, it's not old or nostalgic but it's the only who can make you personalize the music you are playing with .abc files and it works on severs

HBM's Nuclear Tech is an extremely high quality technology mod that is going to receive an update to 1.12.2 in the next few months, it has hundreds of machines and extremely detailed textures. I believe it should have been on this list.
Lord of the Rings Mod is, without doubt, one of the best mods! I've been playing it for years, and I can tell you it's astounding and has more content than you could imagine! A must-have for LotR fans

Wish someone ported it to 1.12.2. I still haven't played it because I hate switching versions and all my controls get reset.
@@bmhater1283 It's actually good for them to not port it. It makes all updates come faster, plus the features mod gives are very similar to those in-game. Plus, it contains less bugs due to not updating to newer versions.

The Hwyla mod is actually really good for Animania and Ice and Fire, because it gives you the gender of the dragons in Ice and Fire, as well as the needs of Animania animals. :3 I hate when I forget to add it. xD

decocraft is one of the top 3 furniture mods out there with millions of downloads, I love that mod.
I feel like the Rival Rebels mod should've deserved a spot. One of the, if not the best explosion effects ever seen in a minecraft mod. The nukes were optimized too.
I was kind of disapointed that advent of ascension wasnt on this list.

A mod I use a lot is called the Light Overlay. So I can see where mobs can spawn when building my base or exploring underground.
Spartan weaponry adds a ton of new weapons with nice effects and even works with other mods that add new materials
Spartan shields is the shield complement to Weaponry
I am new with mods so these videos really helped me find some mods to try out thanks
Back in the days (that must have been around 2011) there was a mod whose name i can't quite recall, but i believe it was something like "Immersive Dimensions"(?) or so.
Anyway, what it did was relocate the nether dimension into the main world, but underneath it, erasing the bedrock layers on top of it, respectively the bottom of the normal dimension, and also adding another "sky dimension" above that consisted of floating islands, (if i recall correctly that was so early in the history of this game that the Aether mod didn't even exist yet) effectively tripling the height limit.
Anyways, 10 years ago, that was truly revolutionary, because to my knowledge no other mod did anything like that. That was back in beta, and i think the earliest version was 1.5 or even 1.4 of that.
Carpenter's Blocks would've been really cool and fitting aswell. Still a nice video :D

I’m a huge fan of Ars Magicka 2 personally. It’s got a great spell crafting system and the progression system is really rewarding. Shame it doesn’t get updated anymore :(

I think the new Mario 64 in Minecraft mod is one of the craziest mods of all time. It literally puts the game code from Mario 64 into Minecraft allowing you to play as Mario exactly like you would in the original game. You literally have to put a copy of Mario 64 into your mods folder to make it work. It puts a game in another game.
