Ted & Helen, Congratulations on being so close to getting out there and thanks for sharing your preparation & journey with us. Fair winds and following seas forever! Jim Grigsby Virginia Beach, Va
That steel Boat was the most Beautiful Steel Boat I have seen and the wood workmanship and thought that was put into it just fantastic. Happy new year to you two and hoping you have a Safe Year
Ted and Helen, you both are doing a tremendous job on Liberty. That NEMA 2000 is awesome. Happy New Year! Wishing you both a safe passage to St Petersburg!
What a great episode! The nylon mast ladder is cool. Kinda can’t believe i’ve never seen that before! Also, it makes me smile slash giggle when I see all the speed-rail on your boat because I know I’m going to have a ton of it on the boat i finally get. I can’t leave well enough alone. Dude, that Timelapse moon rise footage was awesome! Whose ever idea that was deserves a shoutout. Smoooth 😊
Thanks Stian!:) Mast Mate climbing system. We are super happy with this. Coming down is harder, have to look down and watch, where you step. www.mastmate.com/ We built the solar structure out of speed rail, because Ted is familiar how much easier it is building from speed rail and fittings, than welding pipes together. Happy that you noticed my little editing tricks. Moonrise was too slow for viewers to appreciate it, so I fast forward it and applied posterized time. Cheers, Helena
Good to see even more progress. I know your next move is not terribly far, but it’s one more step with goals to accomplish while there. Have fun, good luck and non voyage. Stay safe. ❤️🙏
If that's a mast mate I bought a used one a couple years ago. After you go up and down a half dozen times your confidence in it goes way up. As always, no e week. Sail well!
I would be very careful cutting your corian counter top . If that is the same as what we call in australia engineered stone it is deadly . Its now been banned over here . Mask up and be real careful cleaning up the dust also best cut with a wet method . Cheers and best of luck with your setting sail .
Man oh MAN I cannot WAIT for the subscriber meetup in Nassau or Georgetown or Linton Bay. Mast climbing and white lightening hooch go together like brush hogs and beer back home. Yeah buddy…..
Sailing Liberty preparations Captain and first mate soon out to the open seas safety first Love you show Red skies at night sailors delight we don't want to talk about the rest of the slang be careful guys Love you Tom from New York
I know you have more you want to complete on Liberty, but you have done so much, and she is looking fit. I'm glad you're casting off the dock lines and raising the sails. I look forward to next week's adventures. Have fun, and stay safe. By the way, how is that dinghy doing? She looks great. Do you think she is unsinkable?
Helen, next time and for all jobs in the future, remove all your rings from you fingers. One slip and reaching out you could catch your ring and possibly have a horrific accident and lose that finger. Or even ground out that ring with a hot wire and burn that finger very badly. I’ve done that myself with ground my ring with a hot wire, hurts like hell and took awhile to heal.
You guys are one of the most authentic channels I've seen. Keep them coming.
Helen is super cute!

You should mount a cup holder one side of that wooded block and cell phone mount with a USB plug on otherside.

St. Petersburg, in my neighborhood. Sorry I missed y'all again.
You’ll get the last two weeks of the season.
What's going on with that big old crack on the hull by the window above the galley? Is that just trim or is that cracked fiberglass?
Do you all have your first passage routed yet
I'm wondering if you guys are sailing yet on the Caribbean Sea
Red sky in the morning…

is it a morgan out island 43?
Hi Stella
Liberty is a Navigator 41 built in Taiwan at Mao Ta Yacht & Lumber co. She custom made. Designer is Nils Lucander.
