I suppose that I'm a collector as I've tried to keep my older model cameras as long as I can, so I now have 4 Panasonic, 3 Olympus, Fuji X-T50 & Instax, Pentax Q, Leica TL2 plus 4 film cameras.
I myself find it hard to part with my old cameras. But I'm not a collector and sold them after a few months or years. So I only own "2 1/2" cameras. My beloved workhorse is the Lumix G91, my always-on camera is the Lumix GX9. The Olympus Pen E-PL10 is far inferior to the GX9 in terms of ergonomics and doesn't like manual-only lenses, at least it refuses to use the AF assist functions magnifier and focus peaking. So I will sell it as soon as a worthwhile Lumix GX10 appears on the market.
I'm a minimalist, for my photosessions i use a sony a7iii, for travel an ep7. I have also a broken dji, canon 5d and olympus om10. Having too much gear is counterproductive to me, you don't know which one to use
