Nice work, Maik! You're nailing the text work. I loved the rock fly-by the most. You never disappoint by highlighting the issue with insects. ;) The drone performed well, considering the windy conditions. :P
    Great work!

Thank you very much, Nate! Yes the Mavic 2 does well in high winds.

I love your work and you channel. Always looking to learn something from you. I have a Mavic 2 Zoom and a Pocket 1. I have difficulty with the Pocket. I see you use a Pocket 2, Osmo Action, and GoPro. Which of these do you prefer. How do you decide which to use in certain situations. I would appreciate your opinions on these questions.

      Thank you!
Well, for me it's actually quite straight forward which is for what:
The Osmo Action and GoPro are really similar, i use them to film Timelapses (in photo mode) while i'm flying. I always set these up in interesting positions before i take out the drone ;) The Action i also use for filming through glass, when i'm riding a bus or a cable car, it fits quite flush against the windows.
These two are just tools for me to set up and let them do their thing. Not really good for handheld stuff, and you don't have much control, they're not made for that though...
The Pocket 2 i always have in my Pocket or in my hand while walking, always on full automatic mode, with the wheel accessory for fine control. I use it to film "Quick shots" of nice views i see on the way, like landscapes or animals. It's especially good for macro shots, i use it for all the flower shots. Although it's sometimes a little fiddely when trying to focus on something close by. I often use only a small percentage of the Osmo shots but i think it's the best handheld video camera around unless you want to go for something more professional, which will be MUCH heavier and MUCH more expensive ;)
To be honest I have to say the difference from the Pocket 1 to the Pocket 2 is not that big, the controls and capabilities are basically the same, maybe the camera quality is a little bit better. I hope they'll be able to build some optical zoom into it in the future, that's the only thing i wish i had on this one.
What difficulty do you have with the Pocket 1?

@@MaikKellerhals I find that the Pocket 1 screen size is too small (I have poor eyesight). I believe that you mentioned that you (or maybe it was someone else) connect the phone to the side connector of the Pocket and I will try that next time I go on vacation for some travel shots. Except I will have to remove my phone case so it connects solidly.
I was wondering if the Osmo Action with a larger screen might solve some of the problems I have, but seems you do not think that it is very good for handheld shots. I trust your opinion. I have now started to wonder if I would be better off having an older style video camcorder (say like a Sony CX405. Easy to hold, good optical zoom, fairly big screen, etc.). It is less compact but apparently easy to use and has decent video. Food for thought. Thanks so much for the discussion!

@@apeel2008 No, i use the Pocket on it's own with the tiny screen. It IS very small and you often don't see much, especially in sunlight. But i can see the basic composition and as soon as i point it the right way i can trust that the results are good. I agree, this is a downside of the small size.
Yes try attaching your phone, it will give you better sight and more control. For me it's just too complicated because i like to keep it in my pocket and take it out and shoot spontaneously. The phone would make this process a little more annoying and slower. So for me it's good as it is.
But you'll have to find out for yourself what's best for you.
Yes, a dedicated handheld video recorder might be a good option. Or even a full hybrid camera like the (more expensive) GH5 II which i will buy soon. But of course that won't be "Pocket" size any more ;)
