Find an LED with about a 2.2 Volt drop and this will lower the voltage to 1.5 Volts. Measure the LEDs drop through a 1K resistor. This is better than just resistors. A red LED and a Diode in series might give the 2.2 Volt drop as well.

The idea in this comment is much better than the video. The battery on the video will drain faster because of the continuous current flow on the resistors plus the parallel connection of the clock. The idea of using just LED or diodes in series is only one complete circuit and the current flow is pretty much the same as before, as long as you drop the voltage correctly.

I don't consoder this as a good work. You should require to try by you self first and then the final work submit for viewers. Back ground music is disturbing the ears. Placing of component and soding work was very poor.

.Hello, I want to use a 7.5 volt multimeter battery and adapt it and reduce it to 1.5 volts. Do you advise me to put in series a resistor, let's say for example of 3 k and another of 2 k + a capacitor of the same value as in the video???? I will install a 50 volt x 10 uf capacitor

capacitor is ok. and use 10k and 2.5k resistors as voltage divider.

I rate your whack job in soldering a 3 out of 10. Do better next time. Eventually that battery will go low as well. The advantage is you can recharge. Better look for a solution with an active chip.
