Hi! With regards to Shuaibo's Airplane, according to what I read on TikTok, not sure if it's true, but, it says that the Airplane throw of Shuaibo was not shown on the broadcast because of the recent Airplane crash that took lives in SK. SBS prolly being careful about it.
Personally , I like most of El Captan's songs, I also like Groove's emphasis on vocals but I think Rhythm's energy and swag on their choreo is so fun to watch and their vocals are great too, they seemed a balance group for me in terms of singing and dancing but song-wise, Beat got it! Rhythm needs a banger of a song.
Also your man at 1:04:51 is Groove's leader Jang Kyungho. He was in TO1 with Woongki and has a lot of great dance performances under his belt! My personal favorites include his cover of Taemin's Criminal, his performance of Sriracha with Chan, and his parts in TO1'/TOO's M2 Relay Dance cover of TVXQ's Rising Sun.
Groove has a good final debut team as they do have someone who loves to write a song and obviously good stable vocals and even they dont dance much they actua;;y also can dance good its just that most of their concept doesnt allow them to showcase more of that side of their talent and also has great visuals with hot and manly vibes.
Regarding the raw vocals, there are fancams taken by the onsite audience showing how stable and loud Groove (esp Butterfly) vocals were, if you are curious.
They released practice room performance videos, and in those Kairi did the reverb. Team beat live audience picked On and On then Groove then Rhythm for Unit 2.
NOT A SPOILER JUST A THEORY FOR THE FINALE(EPISODE 10). I think they will debut a team (most likely team rhythm) if they win this is what I think the possibility of what will happen: 1. group of 7 in the finale (no twist) 2 group of 5 or 6 in the finale instead of 7(which means the the top 7 or 7 and 6 will not make it then the mvp/s of other group/s will be included) (bad twist for the 7 or 7 and 6 if ever.) 3. group of 7 in the finale+ the one or two mvp/s of the 2nd place or 2nd and 3rd place of the other group/s(groove(Park Han)and beat(Woongki). Is my theories believable? personally i like it if the 3 or 2 will happen (so Woongki and/or Park Han will debut)
i feel like the debut line up will consists of 8-9 person. the whole rhythm line up + they'd probably get park han and MAYBE woongki, or from Beat. like 1 whole team wins + 1 player each from the 2 teams
In my opinion it's 8-9 members, and they prioritize Chemistry and star potential for growth, so Daisuke is in for me while park Han and wongki will be added
Yes, Team Beat won this Unit 2. But unfortunately, they’re last overall. I really like TB’s Mamma Mia too, I hope El Capitxn will be the producer for the debut group.
I'm pretty sure El Capitxn was the only one who made a contribution on the team's song. They usually say if a coach helped on choreography or production and so far, I can't remember anyone other than him mentioned about hands on involvement. Possibility that coaches just chose the music available from their company. Choreographer is probably also from their company or SBS. And yes, there are still some script like any other survival/variety shows but we just don't know which are scripted. Woongki and Kyungho's issues during intercept was probably mixed with scripts and genuine words/reaction. I also think the way that coaches not choosing the ace of another team every trading scene was due to an instruction on them by the producers to continue the excitement of the competition. But these are just my thoughts and observation.
I really like your reactions, Jess🫶😉 They are very objective and you see things what others don't see, and you also pick things that people might be overlooking intentionally because they have their favorites. Some people might not agree with you because they are heavily influenced with the groups they like and that's completely fine, but I hope let's not spread negativity, everyone. I mean, I also have my preference, favorites even, and that is because I'm just more attached to this team because of how they resonate to me--- it's Rhythm by the way. All in all, I love your reactions Jess, I'm finally subscribing after watching your reaction for a while. @1:03:00 the casting criteria becomes more visible on how the show prioritizes screentime, storylines and trainee spotlights. example: Chi en is very introverted/ reserved, but the show made very clear from the intro sequence until now to show case him even if his behaviors , out side the performances, dont "stand out" in it self but only in contrast to others. Not saying he is not a good kid / artist, but how narrative builds the audience focus. Or how most beat members didnt get storylines on the eps, important for online voting, but got some on the extra content on yt at least. Is one of my "enjoyments" of this kind of shows also see how much guiding there is for the final line up, because there is always more qualified artist then are spots. And how people pick up their favs, can they differ from the guiding? low screentime are able to shine? do starpower * + limited skills always wins? I was reviewing the first pick teams ep1 and the final 21 and how the differ. I was suprised of how much and little the teams changed and which 1st bench members got to the final. 2 directors mostly keep their vision / concept from ep1. *= personality, visuals, stage presence, popularity / charisma, entreteinement value. -- I prefer more balanced teams then just random favs. I also believe that every group must "survive" without their mvp/ center because is $ lost if they can't perfom or leave.. learned from work experience. --
i believe idols + star power should always be together coz even if you have skills but don't have that star power, you'll always be in the nuguland inside the industry
@hahaha8737 sorry for the Word count. yes start power is very important. As a huge pop fan before kpop it is their main apeal. and usually trainees don't receive training to improve it like stage presence is a form of acting. And start power is very hard to edit out of videos, I guess that why there is a bias. because exceptional dancers and singers( with lower/ perceived/ edited out as lower starpower) only shining in their few performace spotlights moments is always less secounds then there rest of the show, to build fanbase, and regular idol activities that is > then performances in time / products. But potential (limited skills) candidates over already skill- rounded and appealing candidates is somenthing that always will happen, where the competitive / people's voting choices makes it interesting. ( and where you have to be mindfull if it is in your line of work as is mine to not develop surpestion , anxious, frustration behaviors ) I am very bad at prediting final line ups because I don't understand some types of star appeal in them self, so try to learn how the other perceive / the show guides. That why the argument that people only goes for visuals / nationality is fundamentaly wrong because is a complex nuanced and cultural preferences context.
Hmm I'd say Beat always get good songs, since the beginning. but let's be honest, some players of beat team performance / skills are too underwhelming for the songs. Woongki and Kairi did great for the 2 units. As much as I like Jinho, but he just can't keep me hooked, and his parts are not that impactful to viewers (at least to me). Other beat members are (sorry) just.. really like blur on stage. Because their parts aren't really that memorable, you know, easily forgettable. Now, if Team Beat have players with good skillset, say Hanseo, or Steven, maybe they'd could really ace this round.

I have watched your reactions on UL groups since the start and I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you truly have biases, especially for Groove. You do not seem to like the Rhythm much. You have a passive-aggressive tone against Rhythm. You know what, in the end, the global fans will negate everything you say.
