      The Purifier is bugged it does zero impact damage which is literately half of it's damage stat meaning Medium Pen 125 impact is ignored and the 125 explosive damage isn't. For crying out loud you can see a difference when using the Scorcher or the Plamsa Punisher as their projectiles do infact deal their impact damage and you are given visual feed back with a hit marker!

    the Tenderizer got tired of everyone laughing at them, so they went to the gym for the last month to workout. And now the weapon is ripped. Also there is a known bug that the Adjudicator's recoil values isn't accurate to what it should be. They might have reverted to the old values by accident and didn't notice it during release. So if it kicks back more then usual, that's why.

      They need to increase tenderizer mag size to 40 and add medium armor pen then the tenderizer be perfect 👍🏾

      @@abyssalzone2957that’s too much of a buff, it’ll be the only AR anyone would choose; right now you have liberator for more ammo, the new AR from the current warbond for CQC, adjudicator for medium, tenderizer for high damage light

    Man, I love how they add cool effects to certain weapons to distinguish them from the rest like the Pummeler's stun or Eruptor's shrapnel and then get rid of them within a few weeks. Feels really good.

      Wish they add a gun with autoaim that fires nukes that will clear the field for me. I just wish to push one button and see enemies gone. Otherwise game isn't fun.

    I just don’t understand why they didn’t touch the liberator penetrator, it still does 45 damage per bullet and the ONLY thing it does better than the adjudicator is that it has better recoil other than that the adjudicator is significantly better in every possible way

      Yeah man and it makes me so sad cause the pen is the sexiest weapon model in the game.
      Well, at least the default liberator is the second sexiest and its not half bad so country boys make do for now

      Given the original Eruptor was a top tier bot and bug killer, asking for the original feels like a stretch goal.
      It has a niche now. It deletes medium (especially medium bots) quickly and can handle small patches of chaff. It isn’t a gun that handles everything short of a heavy. That plus the ability to close holes and destroy factories is a fine primary.
      Is it Walmart’s launch Eruptor? Yeah. But it now is a fine bot pick. Eruptor/Bushwacker/AMR or Quasar can really cover all your bases.
      (Though I will miss the Eruptor/Stalwart days from before)

      I think the reason this is the feeling everyone has is because the shrapnel was doing insane damage. In the patch notes they said that the shrapnel was doing over 9k damage, which understandably would make anything not doing that feel much weaker.

      I still don't know, especially w/o the shrapnel, how it is being praised. Look how long it took him to kill mediums in the vid: it's painfully slow! A Dominator would've laid out both bots by the time the Eruptor got its 2nd shot off, which 2 shots killed neither btw. I'm pretty sure a Pummeler would also kill faster, and so would the other SMG and some AR's, and the DMR's. Idk what the draw is, when you can have a nade pistol to blow up grouped enemies, albeit, less damage. But to make your DPS so low, seems a death sentence in of itself.
      Even when it was good my teammates were having to run just to take shots. Only the most skilled got any use out of it. For lower skilled: it just hampered them even more.
      In my opinion such a long reload/action should reward w serious damage. It should kill big things faster than other primaries, but even the turret vent is a perfect example that a Dominator does way better DPS to a single target. 4 shots w that long reload is pathetic. It should be 2.
      I'm a hater bc I want it to be a bad-A weapon, not a noob trap.

      I can't close bug holes with this thing though. I can hit multiple units on the ground with this but In a large scale fight I would rather use the crossbow over it especially since it can now blow up bug holes much better than before.. However it does wreck medium and heavy but needs more Splash IMO.

      That was the Eruptor when it still had shrapnel. Dropping Chargers with one well placed hit. Tanks could go down with two shots. It was basically the Warhammer 40K Bolter and acted as one accordingly.

    Enemy stagger change also gutted the punisher(non-plasma) against bots. Used to be able to stagger a devastator from 80 meters with a single pellet, now you're more likely to kill them through chip damage than get them to stagger a single time with it.

      i dont get why they dont make it a cool down, like it takes a couple bullets then doesnt trigger on that enemy again. Doesnt make sense you shoot them with more of something that isnt working until it works...

    Nerfing the eruptor for literally user error is crazy to me. I never had a problem with it on release because i used it properly. Hardly ever had a problem killing myself or a teammate. I miss it

      Who says that's the real reason it was nerfed? More likely it was nerfed because it was oneshotting chargers. Can't think of a stronger weapon that has existed in this game.

      @@creativityfails1 The devs used the shrapnel killing players as the excuse for why they removed the effect entirely, which also happened to be where the majority of the damage was coming from. I used the eruptor heavily pre-nerf and never one-shot a charger. That was either a bug or a myth created by people huffing copium.

      Purifier should have been an armor piercing projectile that goes through targets and had a charge time accelerate the projectile to pierce heavier armor with max being a lvl 4.

    You should also note that the Peak Physique armor skill helps make heavy weapons like the Eruptor, Dominator, HMG, etc feel so much better to use. They dont feel like a bus with a pistol grip to swivel around. They still arent as fast as say AR's or SMG's, but being able to move weapons like the Dominator and Eruptor for faster target acquisition is damn near mandatory just because of how much of an improvement it is to use these weapons with the new armor skill.

    The thing that sold me on the Purifier was dropping into a Bot 9 and stagger locking big clusters of Devastators. They like to clump together a lot and the Purifier has the same stagger profile as the Plasma Punisher with a projectile that travels like the Scorcher.
    Crossbow and Tenderizer are the big winners with this patch through and it's great to see more variety in people's loadouts.

      Main way to think of the purifier is as a plas punisher that needs to charge up but gets more accuracy and double the mag capacity

    The Xbow makes a great secondary for running the Anti-Material sniper as a main weapon now. You can drop everything from far and then blow up hives really fast up close.

      It's in a good spot now, and pairs very well with the new Bushwacker shotgun :) I definitely would not mind a slightly larger magazine though.

      I've never tried the xbow. But I'm very happy that the Eruptor got a buff. Oneshotting the Scout Striders and two shotting Devastators is great.
      It finally is usable against automatons. It went from garbage to viable, which is more than I hoped for.

    I'm not sure if stunning enemies but barely getting any kills is actually helping the team. It's putting a higher burden on them to kill things you aren't. Just kill the threat!

      It has helped me save my teammates numerous times from stalkers or sneaky terminids that were way too close to them while they were busy with surviving, the damage is also the same as the standard liberator so it fairs well with most enemies.

    Probably the best reason to main the crossbow is while your team is busy getting swarmed you can be off doing objective or even providing covering fire all the while enemies don't know where they are dying from. They can't hear you attacking them and often are attracted to the explosion instead of towards you.

      used to be the only reason to use the eruptor. now it’s been fully replaced by the crossbow. eruptor got the railgun treatment because it was fun to use and now we have to settle on this bargain bin knock off of it. crazy.

    The pummeler still works great, it just doesn't instantly stun devastators on every single shot. On average it takes 3-4 bullets to get the stun aiming at a Devastator's midsection which still always results in a instant headshot kill afterwards.
    If you were good with the pummler before for anything other than obvious charger cheese, it will still serve you very well, particularly once they un-bug the Ballistic Shield again and you can pair the two against bots.

      I used the Pummeler against bugs a ton and even with the change it's still my absolute favorite primary. It makes Hunters trivial, and being able to run and gun means I can kite big groups of bugs without them touching me.
      And the damage it puts out is honestly astonishing. I think there's no better weapon in the game for sheer versatility.

    Geo missions are bugged. Twice now the terminals either disappear or unable to interact, breaking the mission.

      Known problem. If u use certain screen, make sur to don't have chargers nearby. If he charge you, the screen lock.

    the problem is that for some reason you don't aim at weakpoints whenever you see that "explosive" tag. literally every other weapon also struggles if you just spread damage around on devastators.

    I still feel the entire AR line needs a straight 10 round per mag increase, fun over realism here. Also Ah really just needs to redesign the BR-14 to make it an effective weapon, yes some people can make it work but overall it just feels....off. (Pen issue, recoil, low ammo count). The patch addresses several things and hopefully is the direction on weapon balance going forward, however more is needed on most primaries. Let us home AH sees that still.

      Regular AR needs 60 rounds and the rest 45. Adjudicator is fine with a 35-40 round mag though

      i feel this… the auxiliary weapon types like explosive and energy-based provide far too much utility over what the ARs can do, not to mention there are support weapons that cover it’s role. something like a suppression buff (more inclined to automaton behaviour) would be good though

    I feel like Arrowhead devs never internally ask themselves questions from the players point of view as they are working on the game. “Why would I pick this weapon over others? Does it feel satisfying to use? Does it have a recognizable place in the weapon sandbox? Does it have certain weaknesses, that are balanced out by certain strengths?” I think they are just looking at spreadsheets and changing values without thinking things through

      I feel like AH still suffers from a problem that is actually pretty common amongst devs - they use some sort of internal numerical data as an exclusive foundation for balance changes. Blizzard did this, Behaviour did this, I'm sure many others did as well, and it never ends well in my experience.
      The purpose of balancing is to give the player the best possible experience in the context of currently released content. Raw statistical data *does not* give a full picture of player experience. Many things may seem ok numerically, but suck to play with in practice.

      I don't think they realize the reason so many people liked the pre-nerf Eruptor wasn't because of the unintentional one-shots, but because it let us use a primary against heavier targets, which made it feel less gimping to use something like the stalwart or the grenade launcher. At least that's how it felt as a Bot killer.
      Being able to blow the torso off a devastator in one shot and then switch to the stalwart to mow down a pack of Berzerkers was so nice...

      They don't test stuff properly before pushing to live (bugs and weapons/armors being released with incorrect stats), their internal testing is clearly done on a different version of the game and their patches always are full of bugs and unintended changes because of their aforementioned version issues and spaghetti code. If your code is spaghettified to this extent, it speaks to very deep developmental incompetence at Arrowhead. As an example, they outright admitted that they never touched bot flamethrower damage in earlier patches (before this last big update) but yet it changed several times with zero direct input.
      I want to know what they put in Swedish tap water because every fucking Swedish dev I buy games from turns out to be incredibly incompetent. They cited "Swedish military experience" (a conscript military that complains about poor funding for training and ammo) when making their ricochet mechanic.. which saw rockets explode on target and then sent back at you after magically duplicating, and rifle rounds and shrapnel deflecting back at you with nearly 100% efficiency and accuracy.

      You couldn't have been more spot on if you tried. They don't seem to care to bother finding out why people like certain weapons. Hell, if the entire community came to an agreement to exclusively use the starting the pistol, they probably wouldn't think twice about it and nerf it to the ground purely because of the use rate, even though it already kinda sucks.

    The biggest issue with the primary and secondary weapons is that you don't get enough ammo. If a weapon isn't a powerhouse then the bullets better be plentiful to balance that out.
    In a way, the ammo system punishes players who are good at the game because you run out of ammo quicker when you're not dying and being reinforced with full ammo.
    Plenty of times i will have no primary ammo and the supply pod is on cooldown, so i'm running around looking for ammo caches or to pick up a fallen helldiver's weapon.

    Thank you for the updated information. A new strategy I found useful against terminids is to use the crossbow long range to drop bug holes. It helps if you climb on the spires too

      if you're having trouble with ammo switch it to single or burst fire. It does crazy good damage but you have to be accurate, so spraying into a crowd like it's a Breaker won't get you great results. It's super great against bots, has an amazing scope and almost no recoil so you can shoot devastator heads but the amazing damage means gut shots are still viable too (and probably better, they're bigger targets).
      I know I'm in the minority but I think the Breaker Incendiary should get a tiny nerf, like reduce the pellets slightly or lower the burn damage a little, just to nudge people into trying a different primary. It'll still be really good but I'm getting a little tired of people mag dumping into Chargers and Bile Titans thinking it'll do anything.

      They've been pretty candid about bringing everything up to the level that feels good to use. I think the nerfs narrative was super overblown but I'm still really happy the devs decided to commit to making everything feel worth taking. Ironically I think they might have buffed a couple things *too* much because every bug breach has four orbital gatlings called onto it instantly and nobody is bringing enough anti-tank to deal with bile titans anymore lmao.

    I never used the purifier before the patch and I had alot of fun with it on both factions, however it does FEEL weak to use, like sound design wise.
    Also the Sickle sound changed it sounds soooooo crisp

    small tip for the eruptor
    when the mag icon turns red, it has 1 bullet left, if you recharge at that moment, that one bullet stays in the chamber and the reload is so much faster as you dont have to re chamber it. also you got 6 bullets loaded, in case you need that one extra bullet for emergencys, but try to always reload as soon as it turns red

      With a stalward as your support weapon you should be good using the eruptor. It's a great too against specific enemies rather than a universal solution

      Big Eruptor fan and I love the new scope. That being said the weapon still doesn't feel like it punches hard enough to justify it's handling. Been using the buffed crossbow a lot since the update they have nearly identical enemy breakpoints on terminids and with it's new demolition force it just does the same job with better handling and ammo economy. It's kind of mind boggling that the Eruptor now has 570 damage and still doesn't consistently one shot a lot of medium enemies to the weakpoints. Hope to see it get some more small buffs in the future but at least it is usable again.

      @@EP50009 did you see the devs explanation post i believe on discord where they said they removed shrapnel because it had a possible max damage of 9000….. they basically admitted the shrapnel ricochet was not the main reason they removed it i never ever thought this gun was OP no matter how much damage it did the fact you had to be so precise with each shot had to rechamber each round and only had 5 shots per reload already made it balanced jusy because there were one shot charger videos on youtube doesn’ mean it was OP how many chargers were killed before they got that kill and recorded and posted it

    I've been using the Eruptor with great success. Still would rather have the shrapnel back but the explosion damage buff has been great. Even have taken out as many as 12 enemies with a single well placed shot on bug levels when I was testing it. Plus being able to snipe fabricators at distance on bot missions is so useful

And the overwhelming majority of this game is done in close quarters. Being able to snipe holes and fabs is nice and all, but we have plenty of options for dealing with them already and isn't nearly a big enough advantage.

    Bro I'm a big Halo buff, and believe me I'm loving the Tenderizer now. Terminids do have to get sprayed on full auto because of their sheer numbers, but bringing it to the bots with burst fire popping their heads along with the Shield backback, I really do feel like a Spartan.

    I don't share the same sentiment with regards to the Tenderizer. I tried it on high and low level bot and bug missions. For the lower level missions, it was perfectly fine. For the higher level missions, something just seemed off about it. I just felt like I was constantly reloading, and the things I was shooting at weren't dying fast enough. Even in the footage you showed, you're mirroring exactly what I saw personally. You're not really killing a lot of enemies, and you're constantly reloading. Does it rip through Stalkers? Yes. Is that a good enough reason to take it over the Breaker Incendiary? No. It would be so much better if the magazine size was increased. Speaking of magazine sizes, we should be able to choose higher capacity magazines at the cost of ergonomics and/or reload speed, especially on assault rifles.
    Also, on the Eruptor, I'm never touching the weapon again until they bring back shrapnel. We desperately need new weapon mechanics. Shrapnel was awesome. Arrowhead straight up lied saying they removed the shrapnel because of team kills. Once you used the weapon for a few games, you understood the way it worked and knew where to shoot, and where not to. They removed it because it was too good and people were having fun, plain and simple. It's a bolt-action rifle, FFS. In a game where you're constantly swarmed, a bolt-action rifle that isn't a sniper with a range of a mile is all but useless. They found a way to actually make a non-sniper bot-action fun, and then took it away almost instantly.

      I strongly agree but personally I think the tenderizer needs to have a bigger mag by default just because it only has light pen. Also they realllly need to fix the false reload bug that wastes an entire mag once in a while. I have definitely noticed the trend of them nerfing anything that players have too much fun with, especially if theres videos of it going around on tiktok and the likes. It’s the most frustrating thing about the game for me because it’s a PvE game and they seem to be worried about making the game fair for the bugs and the bots but not the real people playing the game. I feel like if they did polls on twitter/youtube/discord for weapon balancing and other changes it would help a lot with direct player feedback. For example they could put out a poll asking if they should make stims remove slow and stun effects and they could get an opinion from a large group of players without having to read through comments.

      My "favorite" new bug is how, if you end up proning or getting ragdolled and downed by an explosion with the Ballistic Shield equipped, you literally cannot get back up. The first time this happened, I was smashing the buttons on my keyboard to get back up, to no avail. It's especially bad against the bots (the only faction you'd take the Ballistic Shield against, anyway) because of the new Gunship change where they just spawn and roam continuously, no factories required. They constantly ragdoll you, and you're like one of those old Life Alert commercials.

    Pummeler is still an amazing pick, since it still stunlocks stalkers, brood commanders and everything below that. Spending time and ammo shooting a charger in the butt was always a suboptimal strat, and even if it was useful I think that the nerf makes sense.

    After using the reborn tenderizer it felt more like this should be the baseline for AR:s. Not the liberator. When the liberator does the same DMG and handles basically the same as SMG:s what's the point of having 2 different weapon classes that do the same thing. There's so much they could do to differentiate them from each other. SMG:s can run and gun and AR:s are slower firing but longer range with better dmg. AR:s have better armor pen than SMG:s but SMG:s stagger more since blunter larger caliber bullets. AR:s are inherently more accurate but larger recoil than SMG:s where as SMG:s can stay on target even when sprinting but spray a little more. Then there's the subclasses of AR. Carbines have better handling but less dmg and accuracy due to shorter barrel and muzzle velocity. Battle rifles have greater DMG and armor pen but have poor handling and stupid ass recoil. And even SMG:s could be divided to different caliber types. Say compare the pummeler to a UMP. Large slow caliber bullet that does loads of durable dmg and stagger but not so much direct dmg with slightly worse recoil. Take the defender and compare it to say a MP-7. Small caliber bullet with barely any durable dmg or stagger but excellent handling and decent enough direct dmg. Then there's the redeemer or knight that could be a MP-5 or Uzi comparison that cut's the difference between the pummeler and defender. I probably should go post this somewhere where the dev:s might see this.

      @@sadfrog5787 My logic is a mix of muzzle energy and game balance in my eyes. A M16 has over double the muzzle energy of a MP5 but the M16 barely weighs 1/5th more. So my logic holds here. And the weapon characteristics should reflect it's properties. No Vecotrs sniping headshots 200m away and scar-l running and gunning CQB like in battle bit. Both weapon types have their goods and bads and neither should be able to step too much into the others territory. And the way arrowhead had put different dials in to balance weapons they can easily tune it to be so.

    Even when they promised not to nerf stuff, they still nerfed stuff. Arrowhead really has issues. And why did they have to go screw with the tenderizer's magazine size? 35 rounds already felt too small for it to begin with. The main problem with assault rifles is just how tiny their magazines and spare magazine capacity is, and they screwed with both of those things for the tenderizer.

      And yet it is now the highest damage AR in the game coupled with good stagger, and it's accurate enough to use as a marksman rifle in semi-auto. Needing more than 30 rounds sounds like a skill issue, I've been running the Tenderizer since the update and love it. It's not a nerf, it's tuning to compensate for a big buff.

      Sickle is not that great. Only has light armour penetration which means you dont do shit against most enemies.

    Why are people mad/disappointed when a primary isnt great at both horde clearing and taking out heavies? Firstly no weapon should be great at everything, defeats the point of having different weapons, snd secondly with the exception of a few specialised primaries like the eruptor, why would you think any primary would be good at taking our heavies, that is why the game has support weapons. Your primary is exactly that, your primary weapon, for dealing with standard and mid tier enemies, you rock it most of the time to deal with the most common enemies. Your secondary is exactly that, second choice, usually as a fallback if you are in a dicey situation and can't reload or are low on ammo, or because it fills a special niche like the grenade pistol. Support weapons are your heavy hitters euther in terms or big damage to heavy targets or as massive horde clearers you save them for use agaisnt specific target types or situations. Thats generally (with some exceptions) how the weapons are supposed to work. So no, the purifier isnt going to do much other than tickle hulks, obviously.

      I think you hit the nail on the head with the role that primaries should play in the game. However, I think what most of the community is feeling is the overwhelming presence of heavily armored enemies in higher difficulties (even the higher mid tier missions). Currently, it seems like the devs have envisioned "difficulty", as having swarms of exclusively heavily armored enemies (I have seen massive groups of up to 8) to eat up stratagem uses and support weapon rounds. To me, this puts both primary and support weapons in a very disadvantageous position, as most support weapons capable of dealing with heavy armor almost always take a long time to reload or release a follow up shot with unforgiving 1 shot kill spots on most of said enemies, while primaries see very little use due to lack of fodder enemies in sizable quantities. Couple that with generous regen times for stratagems, as well as plentiful uses before said recharge (aka Eagle 500kg, Cluster Bombs, Airstrike, with maybe a pocket orbital laser for when shit hits the fan) and I never feel like I have any reason to meaningfully engage in gunplay with my primary, nor utilize my support weapon to a large extent in extended fights.
      Now, all that being said, I think we would see a large alleviation of the community's distain for ARs, SMGs and DMRs if the devs actually made more targets with penetrable medium armor from those options. Currently, I feel like I can count maybe 1 or 2 enemies I really see plentifully on higher difficulties (where it matters) that actually justify medium armor penetration and if they made enemies like the scout strider, devastator (At least the missile variant and maybe the normal variant), Berserkers, and Bile Spewers completely vulnerable to those options instead of immune in some cases (outside of the weak points) it would both give medium armor penetration a niche as well as make support weapons feel more viable/useful.

    Just an FYI the HMG with heavy armor with recoil reduction is sooooooo good now, using it in burst fire absolutely melts medium enemies. I recommend the the supply backpack or the shield back pack with it.

    a note to the adjudicator the recoil is bugged thats why its so hard to control with the recoil, and all scopes tend to shoot lower then you aim but as long as you take note of those things its good

      It can? idk how I missed that. I'll have to go back and test that out. My guess was that I was hitting near the face but wasn't hitting directly. That would make my score go up higher if that's the case so thanks for pointing that out.

      @SwanyPlaysGames I believe so it happened a couple times for me but they may have been weakened by other shots to nearby enemies. I also find crossbow to be one of the few weapons that feel better first person

      It could always do that. Hitting that shot is not consistent so just shoot the leg, it 2 shots dev legs

    The pummeler is actually good for shredding armor.
    It can chip chunks out of a charger's legs if you shoot it just right.

      @@simplyhere9887 In every other patch it showed the base amount without it in the weapon. So someone wrote the patch notes incorrectly or mixed up the numbers when making changes.

    You definitely gotta play with the purifier on bots a bit more. While it doesn't have the crazy dps of the scorcher, it can actually stun lock heavy and rocket devastators, which is a huge plus and it makes the purifier an awesome mid-long range support weapon and a competent marksman rifle.

      Ehhh, why stun them when you could just kill them though? The Diligence CS pings all the troopers with one shot and all the devastators with one shot. Easy

      @@rayzerot sometimes it's more beneficial to stun an enemy than to kill it. In that regard, it's most often a case of killing potential vs reliability. Sure, killing an enemy is disabling it permanently, but sometimes that can be more trouble than it's worth without someone stunning an enemy. The purifier is incredibly good at stunning all enemies up to chargers and annihilator tanks.
      Your argument has the same kind of mentality as a kid playing their first pokemon game wondering why in the hell they'd let their pokemon have utility when they can just go for the most damaging moves every single time. It can work well enough, but it severely restricts the types of engagements you can reliably come out on top of, especially in a team-based game such as HD2, where having even 1 person playing semi-support can make entire firefights much easier.

    I personally want the ability to Destroy Bugholes and Fabricators on the Purifier. I think that'll be a good buff and would be a good trade off for the charge time.

    Take your time with the explosive crossbow. It will one-shot devastators to the head, so you shouldn't be needing 4 or 5 shots. If the first shot misses the head, they will be staggered, giving you have plenty of time to line up the headshot.

    The scopes are not broken, even on the adjudicator. When you're aiming closer than 25 yards, you have to account for the distance between the scope and the barrel because the guns are sighted in at 25 yards.

    This was such a HUGE step in the right direction. I would really like to see more mag size for all guns. Maybe guns thst have light penetratiin could all get a olus 5 mag size. Then the guns with medium penetration have less mag size cause they hit harder. Or at least 1 gun with heavy armor penetration. Like railcannon. Im really happy they buffed it. But i saw a comment showing guns being unique. For example the pummeler stunlocking, or the eruptor having shrapnel, the kiberator concussive has the pushback. It woukd be nice to see some more unique qualities between the weapons. I dont wanna complain too hard cause this is such a great patch.
    Ideas for the throwing knives
    1. Make it usable for melee, it would pair perfect with the new armor.
    2. Be able to pick up your knifes after you throw em
    3. With the melee damage if you have a knife equip and a 1 handed weapon such as any smg or new shotgun, or amy pistol you can melee with the knife for extra damage. Or maybe the heavier the weapon. Melee with a shotgun shouldnt do as much damage as doing a melee with like the auto cannon or quasar cannon. Might be unique little things to set weapons apart. Especially since we have so many A.R type weapons it woukd be nice if lets say one reloads SUPER fast. Or 1 has a shit ton of ammo. 1 have awesome weapon handling. Something to set em apart cause as of now using the tenderizer seems to be the best option. Unless you use something with medium penetration and run a machine gun or flamethrower for trash mobs then your marksman rifle or eruptor type guns for the heavier enemies

    In a war game such as Helldivers 2, an update that buffs weapons seems appropriate because as the war goes on new techologies are developed by Super Earth and existing weapons are tweaked and modified for more efficient performance because the goal is to win said war. Good update I say.

    The diligence buff you described in testing was entirely placebo, none of the things you mentioned shooting in that section were durable body parts so there was 0 change from the last patch to the current, its probably just because you haven't used it in awhile.
    The only parts considered durable are charger, bile titan, and bile spewer/spitter butts, and all of the heat vents on automatons (hulks, tank(?), cannons(?) I'm not entirely sure about the last 2 tbh).
    Edit: writing this while watching, same thing happened with the adjudicator, placebo effect for the damage, extra 5 rounds per mag is nice tho.

    Purifier can clear out drop ships with ease, or soften up bigger enemies before they drop. I always run jump pack, so setting up on high ground and providing supporting fire was doing a lot of work for me. Best thing I think for this weapon is to let us move freely when charging it and only slow is down if we're aiming. There's been dozens of wasted shots because I charged one with no more enemies in sight, only to shuffle around awkwardly with my diver screaming like I'm emptying a heavy machine gun because I'm holding the fire button down before firing a random shot into the air.

    Tbf the Tenderizer was less 'buffed' and more 'actually made what they wanted it to be originally' since they released it with just more or less cloned stats from the liberator (I think I heard that was due to time restraints), but I agree that it is now an S tier AR choice.

    The Crossbow also benefits a lot from the buffs to the machinegun strategems. Since those have more durable damage you get a lot more mileage out of them when you use them as a primary and keep the crossbow for utility.

    One thing people don't seem to understand is that the angle you shoot changes the result of each shot. Many of those "feels irregular, some times kills faster" is pure angle that make the enemy receive full damage

    I love what they did with the Eruptor, but I agree they need to bring back the shrapnel damage. I'm the type of player that loves running around solo, so killing teammates was never a problem.

    The pummeler having issues stunning devastators is the only part of the nerf that really hurts because it was essential to stun the rocket devastators i couldnt care for the chargers not being stuned.
    As for the concussive liberator what they should do is actually decrease the damage a few points and ramp up the stun duration on it to make the crowd control really good. It would be a cool idea to have a completely supportive primary that can still kill the smallest enemies

    I've been holding on to this so they don't fix it but you can drastically improve the rate of fire of the eruptor by immediately swapping to a different weapon then swapping back. It skips the slow rerack and if you swap to something like the anti material rifle you can input buffer the shot and rip a lot of stuff apart using them both as one weapon essentially.

    Ive been running the crossbow A LOT since the update. Its one of my favorite weapons currently.
    Pair it with the new shotgun secondary from the viper commandos and you have a true safari esque loadout to hunt the biggest of bugs with.

    Purifier changed to act more like the Sickle with the Plas scorchers aoe and such.
    Or something the DRG Engineers Shard Defractor. Charge up time for a plasma stream (not sure how it'd work, sorry) with an aoe effect that grows the longer you hold in the same area.

    Tenderizer actually only has 7 magazines (as you can see in your game footage), despite the patch notes.
    Also, it does not get them all back on an ammo pickup.

    New pummeler is fair imo. Stuns what can be stunned and has little effect on the elite. Takes a bit more ammo but its still reasonable and stun effect is still noticeable

    My favourite weapon was the Eruptor until the removed the shrapnel and never found a primary to replace it so I just used it for bug holes and bot factories while using the Stalwart/Flamethrower as primaries with the Senator as backup but now I'm back to actually using the Eruptor on the enemies, lol
    Also, I'm glad the Tenderizer's description is no longer a lie stating it has increased damage but at the cost of a lower mag size. My friend and I ripped on that description hard at release since it was basically a Liberator.

    I’ve used the Purifier a lot for the bots and I gotta say I really enjoy it. It 2 shots the little striders, cleans up the chaff, and I would say it’s really good against the devs. It tends to take 3 or 4 shots to kill them, however they get staggered every time they are hit. I really like the stagger as other weapons really don’t do that as well. Some people might say “just hit the head” and that is well and good, but when they are already spamming shots and missiles it’s a little difficult lol but the purifier doesn’t care as you can jiggle peak the devs really easily, stagger lock, and then kill. And you can do this at very far ranges.

      3 or 4 shots to kill a devastator with a weapon that you have to charge up is terrible if you are playing on anything above difficulty 5. It's all well and good that it staggers the target, but then you gotta worry about the 5 other devastators in the patrol too, who are spamming rockets at you as you take 6-10 more seconds to kill one.

      @@PRC533 i understand what you are saying but I play on 9 and it still does well, a lot of the devs tend to sit really close together so the splash staggers 2-3 at a time. If you got another rocket dev to the side then you can alternate your shots to stagger so you don’t get hit.

    I hadn't played since the massive nerf patch. Hopped on today, unlocked a ton on the new warbond, and I have to say with the MG changes and the new carbine, Helldivers is the #1 Rambo sim on the market, full stop.

    I still miss the launch eruptor. You could one shot devastators with a shot to the pelvis, bring down heavy devastators with a shot right between their feet, and clear small guys with the shrapnel.
    The damage is ok, but between only having 6 shots per mag and so few mags to work with, it just isn’t good enough to bring any more in my opinion
