These old movies had the best titles !
Nothing makes me happier than finding and watching an old film I've never seen before. Thanks so much for sharing! It was delightful!
Omg, just by chance, came across this treasure of an old movie. Loved it! one of the best movies I've ever seen, May 19, 2020 ... making this movie 90 years old, wow! Enjoyed so many twists and turns, as well as so many good {fun} laughs. I only wish the movie was longer. Too good to end it so quick so soon. They should've had the cop and Julie get married, seeing that the justice of the peace was still standing right there.
I love that hand-cranked wind machine they used back then!
"Don't call my dame a tomato ".. hahahaha..!
well that was a very funny and entertaining movie, thanks for posting. Special mention to Sam Hardy , Julia's boss, for his incredible expressions 😀
I love it when people dive head first out the window!
Courtesy of IMDB: "Peter has to be married by midnight or else his inheritance goes to his uncle... Who happens to live in a "haunted house"."
They can't even come close to making movies like this anymore. I'll stick with my old movies, any day! couldn't pay me enough $$$ to watch any movie nowadays, they all suck, and so much "fake" digitally added stuff.
Agree 100%, but think about it ~ we're a dying breed. Even people born after 1970 have no use for these great old films, and once we pass along, they won't even be found on Y/T.
Paul Hurst reminds me a little of WC Fields.
I like how the wind sounds like someone is using a drill or something
It was a hand-cranked wind machine they used back then. Some poor schmuck off camera wore himself out making that "stormy night"!
Paul Hurst is great in this movie as Mr. Bull the trooper.
He always played the 'dumb cop'.
Wasn't it a wonderful time to be alive when '50 mph' was considered fast?
Comical gem
Thank You 😊
The first five minutes of the movie showed police giving tickets for speeding, competing as to who could give more tickets, and one even got demoted by the sarge because he did not give a ticket! This was 1930.
+Learning More I'm sure it happens today as well!
What's your point?
Learning More
My grandpa used to get pulled over for drunk driving back in those days all the time & they usually let him go. They were much more lenient then ~ & if he did get ‘a ticket’, he would pay it & continue to drink & drive! Everyone back then thought that drinking alcohol was pretty hip!
@@suzieqwonder3089 - Those were the days when 80% of Americans lived in an agrarian society, crapped in an out house and there were few paved roads.
@@suzieqwonder3089 this is what happens still today in certain areas. The difference is POPULATION. When you have a couple million cars on the highway and each thinks they know how to drive better than the other, the law changes considerably. As for alcohol being 'hip' , sure about as much as cocaine was/is, just when more are addicts it swings the mindset. But in any regards I think leniency plays very little in any police officers choice of ticketing or not, more like is it worth the trouble or not, I think is the driving force, both then and now.
Fantastic film
Why are alot of videos blocked in Canada??
Exelent
A great comedy
The two officers)Paul Hurst and ???) Were in many movies after thi one. The second officer was the goofy detective in Topper Returns.
7:52-7:54 "Well, there'd been another world war!"
Yeah, about that.
Im so happy about this tho
The heck did I just watch?
Is it me or does the guy in the thumbnail look like ethan from Smosh? Great grampa?

WTF IS SHE DOING WITH HER ARMS LMAOOO
Lol
She’s either extremely double jointed, or turning into a chicken
"Dames are the cause of ALL the troubles in the world"...............NOT! (Just half)
Of course. If there were no "dames" there would be no children. With no children we would quickly run out of warmongers.
@@smitajky - Without socialist we wouldn't need "warmongers".
Dr. Elizabeth Martin. Lizzy, damn it - didn't you hear him ? He didn't
Say half, he said "dames". He meant ALL of you guys ! Remember Liz,
💃 〰️ 👿. Just kidding.
Morality of '20, '30 starlets.
Social bottom.
That plane ( @8:58) looks like a glorified tin can or metal coffin- you decide!
Is that Lionel's daddy in the mobile-chair?
Me as a gen z checking this out! 😵
Generation should have nothing to do with appreciating a film. Either you like old movies or you don't. It's from almost 50 years before I was born but I've always liked older movies.
HEY! THAT'S WALTER BRENNAN! THIS CHICK JUST HAD ONE SONG?? AWFUL ENDING!
58:11 omfg don't push it will ya
POLICE BRUTALITY!!! haha Well, the liar deserved it, see?
It would have been nice if the person who posted the video took the time to tell us what it is about. Plenty of time to self-promote...
This is a very good comedy, just watch and enjoy it
wibas, I agree! There are so many whiners online. They feel so entitled. Maybe K mcg should write a synopsis since he/she has so much time to whine!
Cyn K literally all K mcg said was that a synopsis woulda been nice stop riding their ass like that jfc.
K mcg...LOLOL...You dear, are shamefully LAZY...
Why not just thank the person who posted this entertaining film instead of being critical.
