Thanks for the update. Planning for a trip to North Bengal during 2nd week of April from Kolkata. Which route do you suggest? It will be a Night drive, starting somewhere around 10 PM.
If your car/bike have strong headlights, you can take this route. Because, road is under construction and there is no divider. This is the shortest route, and should take less time. Otherwise, you can take STKK route - where road condition is better, but longer route. There will be traffic congestions at Santaganchi - better take bali bridge/dakshineswar to leave kolkata.
Have seen your Ranaghat to Krishnanagar video. Thanks for the 2nd episode. I went Krishnanagar during Durga Puja 2022 via STKK. Returned to Calcurta via traditional route. Now, I've a program at Berhampur. What route should I take? What your suggest ? SRKK AND OR old traditional route ? What will be the convenient??
Our suggestion is - If you are starting from kolkata early in the morning (5am - 6am), then better to take NH12 (traditional). During returning back to kolkata, STKK road is preferred to avoid traffic congestions in NH12.
