The food looked nice Angela and it's right to treat yourself on payday as you earned it. I too had to wear a splint on my big toe when I broke it, it wasn't painful but just so awkward to try and walk without bending my toe.

I pretty much lived off Tonkotsu , Discounted bentos from Lawson or 7-11 and Kirin during my time living in Japan. While the scenery still looks the same. Auto kiosk restaurants were not the norm during my time. But times do change. I see the same server robots currently being used in Denny's here in the US also being used at the Good Taste in Baguio City. Stay strong aute and you will be ok. Take care.

Walang Gana. This is the new thought of kids growing up. They think they owe you nothing, and owe themselves everything. I always gave to my family. No matter the cost to myself. 14 years sitting at a desk, 9 years standing retail. The truth is you wreck your own health doing this. They will hate you for not being there, when you really were there the whole time putting them first. All I get is heart problems from the stress they give me. I can't work anymore. Take care of yourself 1st, there's only one of you.
But I am happy and proud my son in not being like that. I know he understands why I left him for so long. Now he is going on college this school year. Everyday We talk. We have a good morning and goodnight i love you messages since Day I worked here i Japan. We are very much closed. I know some children have an attitude like that. Maybe it needs communication . I'm a Filam that grew up in America and now I'm retired in the Philippines. I can't imagine being away from your children, but at the same time I don't understand why Filipinos continue to have children in an unstable situation, either financially or with a bad partner. Obviously the result is not good. I'm sure most of the OFWs are in similar situation if they have children. This cycle needs to stop specially with Filipinos.
