Almost had a fire with my Brother MFC-L8900CDW. Followed your procedure, everything works great!! Thank you for the wonderful walk through the process. TIP: Using 24lb paper now... no jams, no issues..
Sehr gutes Video! Ich konnte so unseren HL-L8250CDN retten, der bei der Fixiereinheit baugleich ist. Die Ersatzteile waren für gerade einmal 30 € zu haben. Vielen Dank Hank!!! english: Very good video! I was able to save our HL-L8250CDN, which has the same fuser unit. The spare parts were available for just €30. Thank you Hank!!! 👏👏👏
Fantastic video and HUGE help to us. I just replaced the rollers following your video step by step and it worked like a charm. Great job and thank you!!!
I will never buy another Brother printer. I printed some labels which completely STUCK to the fuser and ruined that assembly. Very good instructions, and I have taken it apart but will have to order the new roller assembly. Thank you for the link to the correct Amazon part. I hope I can follow your instructions, they are very detailed and helpful! Are you not supposed to print labels in these printers??? Thanks!
I had a similar thing happened to me with another printer but only when I fed the labels sheet twice. I didn't want to waste labels as I filled only a handful so turned it around and fed in - that was a mistake. Not sure if it's a similar situation but I agree this printer is not great.
Great video and very helpful, unfortunately now have Error 05 and can't get rid of it - fuser problem ? When I had the maxhine apart I found one of the plastic paper guides near fuser had broken too ! Not such a great machine after all.
Quick question... The bottom right hand panel's small tab (V shaped) has broken off. Does the entire right hand panel need to be replaced or will it still work without the small V shaped tab? Regardless of what I do I continue to receive "print unable 05 code."
I am not an expert on Brother printers. I am assuming you already checked out their support page: help.brother-usa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/150741/~/print-unable-05 I don't understand what small tab you are referring to.
My only guess is that a screw or some bracket was replaced incorrectly or some wire is blocking some sensors. Unfortunately I am not an expert repair technician, that's why it's DIY. I recommend taking it apart and reassembling again.

Thanks, it worked on my Brother MFC L8900. Replaced both rollers. It was a painful at times, but your instructions were very helpful.
Glad it was helpful, thank you for leaving a comment.

Thank you for this tutorial!!! I have this exact problem and waiting for replacement rollers and pressure rollers - my unit melted toner on itself
This is timely, my roller assembly just completely jammed with paper and almost set it on fire! Exact same model, about 2.5 years old
Worked first time baby, tysm!
Many thanks from Germany. God bless you bro.
You are a life saver lol thank you for posting this.

@@DIY-Hank I didn’t run them through twice on this printer although I have done that in other printers to “save” money!

Awesome, thanks. Had this exact problem and your video helped diagnose and fix the issue. Keep up the good work.
This is incredibly helpful! thank you!
Helped in TS of my printer - thanks
Great but for releasing spring safely, there are special tools such as bernstein ones (ref 2-130 for a complete set)
Do you know how to replace the laser?
Hey. Thanks for the Video. Is there any difference between the fuser rolls, or can i install every fuser roll that's made for brother Laser printers?
Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to this. I suspect that there is a difference. The rollers should list which models they are compatible with.
@@DIY-Hank Thanks. (:

Or could be a defective roller?
