at least petey is trying to get better, everyone wants him too, it was the same thing with kuzy, the entire fanbase was frothing for him to get back to his usual self.

You cant put him in, he cant replace lafertys speed, and there is no way they swap him in for PDG when PDG is amazing on the PK

Petey have been playing hockey since he was an embryo, he is raw talent with history to speak.
Moving feet does not really score goals on their own, essential but not entirely the magic pudding.
Got to ask the question regarding coaching......

the team has basically been 1st all year, with multiple players having career years and you want to blame Petterson's scoring slump on the coach who is likely going to win the Jack Adams award this year? Give your head a shake. Petterson is just figuring out playoff hockey. I'm sure he'll have a great game 6.

Oh so Petterson after how many years of hockey just figured out he has to move his feet ,loooooool. He has been been moving his feet the issue is the Preds have been able to match or beat his moving feet!
Now he needs to figure out, that he needs to get physical to get respect and make space.

Yeah moving your feet may help open the ice or draw penalties.. but Petterson's issue is more related to the willingness and toughness of being in the playoffs.. he is young and has all the skill but you can't teach toughness. He needs to work on his emotions and stop with the embellished body language when he is frustrated.. because his teammates are tired of seeing it.. put your head down and get the fk to work Petey.
I think Petey plays better under Boudreau than Tochet.
Petey's natural offensive style does not fit well with Toch's direct north south game. I still think he can find his confidence again and adapt. Canuck's fans turn on their own players faster than any other fanbase in the league.
Totally agree with you on that. As a lifelong Canucks fan, if I were a prospect in the nhl, I’d want to play anywhere but Vancouver just because of the toxic fans
@jasonjansen9831 the reason people turned on petey is because he barely shows any fight and is getting tossed around half the series. Like does he know he got 12 million or not?

@Nickh4929 if he accepted 9M or 10M, I wonder if people would get off his back? I wish players realized that there's more pressure when you make more money because expectations are higher
Petey is just not a good player right now. Not doing the basics, not showing any kind of elite hockey sense out there.
Disagree. Yes he's off. But he's linemates are not good at all. It's a line and team game. Not one guy.

Petterson doesn’t want to be in Vancouver, he has showed numerous times how uninterested he is playing playoff hockey, Canucks management make excuses for 2 months now for petterson being a weak ln the Vancouver Canucks line up , The fans will remember his lack of interest when it counts, best for petterson to leave Canucks this summer

Peteys still contributing although sub apr for him, need more goals and his play will be acceptable.

*4: Blueger with Lafferty, Podkolzin/PDG.
