Wunderbar!
An English prose version -- I'm not the poet to give you a real translation. But this is what this wonderful cellist is telling you with her tone, her phrasing, her beautiful dynamic subtleties: "Along the wharf, the great ships that rock silently in the swell pay no heed to the cradles rocked by the hand of women. But the day of farewell will come, because women must weep and men must dare the horizons that beckon them . . . and on that day the great ships, fleeing the harbors that shrink behind them, will sense their great bulk held back by the soul of the faraway cradles."
If you know the song, and you can actually hear the cello singing the text, it is a!most unbearably melancholy. I suggest getting the text for another hearing. The cellist clearly knows them. Very moving.

It's rare to hear so piercing a silence

I think G stands for "Gabriel"...
