I'm a big Spyderco fan, been buying their knives since the late 90s and own about 60 or so. I do think though that their prices have become outrageously high the last decade or so. They've lost focus on the direction they were going. It's all about how many variants of PM2 and mega expensive factory knives they can make now. They still have more affordable options but even they are poor value compared to the competition. They could do with offering less variety and more core products with better value.
The older lineups were so much cooler. I’m lucky to have a viele and a few other oldies. Schemp balance, bradley air, I can go on. Their older designs are their coolest by far. I even like the original design of the paramilitary to the pm2.
Not sure if you knew this, but the Taichung (Taiwan) knives Spyderco produces easily rival their CO, USA offerings. Honestly my nicer Spydercos are the Taiwanese ones.
Thanks for the KRV, gorgeous knife. I personally would NEVER buy it, too expensive for what you get from a function standpoint. Love the show Nutn, keep up the good work.
I've been on a Bowie kick this year and I can't decide on which one I'd rather buy. I already have a Schrade Leroy, which is a modern style of woods Bowie and I'm surprised at the edge retention so far.
Spyderco needs to get that knife back in production or more available for knife consumers ASAP ⚔️😎⚔️ I have been catching a very hard time trying to find a Respect Bowie knife 🔪
that CS marauder is made of AUS8. Much cheaper material to procure, grind and treat. IMHO AUS8 is a better choice than CPM 154 in big bowies so I cant fault your choice.
@@CKshouta cpm154 is decent steel, I have a couple Benchmades with it and it has served me well, but at this price point it's ridiculous. I've had great experience with Cold Steel's AUS-8 as well; it can take a beating and is easy to sharpen as well.
As a collector's piece I'd jump on board problem is in cut rope for living so sadly it's out of the question 😕 But maybe with a mouth full of snow owl eggs my better half may allow it !

Browning - Hi-Power - 13+1 - Serpico used it - NYPD after he was shot by - well - his own people - Guess that is a questionable comment. Had HP - been available in WW1 - he would have carrier-ed a pair of them. But HE carried 1911's for his time in WW1. From 1915 to 1919 - He sold his 1911's in Maine - when Canada decided to have Gun Control - in 1935 - Cheers!

I’m excited for the hi power. Just for fun you should show a picture of the striker fired gun it was originally intended to be.
Their Japanese and especially Taiwan blades are absolutely flawless
Thank you nutnfancy. I appreciate you.

They reserve the Taichung factory for their prestige models, and I have noticed a huge leap in fit and finish from Taichung. My gb2 is insane.
Surprised you didn’t bring out the San mai trailmaster.
Now you need to get your hands on the falkniven modern Bowie
Trailmaster over that ugly spyder co Any day i

Both are excellent!
Never stop Nutn. Watching you since 10 years. Greetings from PL.
I have 3 Spyderco fixed blades. All are excellent. They are pricey, but very well made.
I have a Darn Dao and it's fantastic!
I have the darn dao , and the finish is just as nice as this
Truly a finesse knife by Spyderco 😎🎯
What was the other bowie you showed in this video
Woo doggie! Look at that Tennessee tickler!
That's a nice blade may friend, thanks for the video!
The stainless steel police model with vg-10 is the best looking knife they ever made , jmo,
What’s the point of that washer ?

Buy a handmande one. There is a million blacksmiths online.
I have been lusting for a new knife I'm scared to watch knife reviews or I'm going to fall in love
Lol I feel ya man but knives over 300 bucks are like seeing a really hot chick pick her nose and eat it... I'm like DaAAAAAAMNNNNN... then NOPE.
Just askingout of curiosity, would you sell yours?
Love the KRVs. What a beautiful knife
I have too many bowies but I want this one
I want one to use as a chefs knife in the kitchen!
I want this so bad but i just bought a greg wall custom instead but maybe eventually! triple owl on the shed!

Thanx pal
Still love the KRVs
I would love one to go with me Black Bear Classic for certain 😎
More gun reviews! More gun reviews! 👍
Hi Power or CZ 75 (looks like a HP). Great guns.
Bro, 2nd kind of cool is getting essPENSSIVVV
$400 for cpm154? Insanity.
I'll stick with $80 CS Marauder.

And yet the Puzon Predator Bowie from Work Tuff will only be $280, I’m thinking a better buy than the Spyderco but that’s just my humble opinion.
Have you used it?
Love it. But it IS overpriced. You can get a Busse for that type of money.

I guessed Browning Hi Power!
Let’s go Brandon! Just helping the algorithm.
Brandon is stuck in the basement living area. He's giving Cornpop a massage...everyone's leg hair is standing up.
$ 560.00 retail ? are you sure you want to pay for Michael Janich's retirement ?
Spyderco has to get there edges right they are always uneven so they dull quick and useless
No! 😂
It’s a stupid ass knife. WTF you need a spydie hole for? That’s a stupid looking Ricasso too. I’d push the guard up farther and have longer handle.
😍
The space between the guard and the blade is a stupid design.
Respect thin hilt break in the field. KA Bar proven field/fighting knife < 100 bucks! Danny Hayes
😂. No!
