- How small stump jobs pay more if you bid them right. I rather do four or five small stumps jobs in a day verse one huge stump. It sometimes pays more to do small jobs in one area. Thanks for watching! #stumpremoval #stump #stumpgrinder #stumps #treeremoval #treestump

Grind on my friend
It’s Time To Grind
Tracey S, yes, it is. I know winter is just starting and I ready for it to be over
Thank you for sharing your experience 🎉
Always Apply Pressure 247, just trying to help someone out. Thanks for watching and keep grinding!!!
Your doing a great for our community in Huntsville.
Great teaching video...thank you so much L.D.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for your insight... Helps alot...
In TN today it's 450 to rent one plus fuel and taxes
I`d rather grind the smaller stumps too. It`s easier on the machine and usually good money.
I have a $150 min just to show up with my machine that will cover up to about a 12" - 14" stump any thing bigger goes up depending how long I think I will be there.
Panther, I hope we get the gas prices under control soon. If sleepy Joe wakes up it might just get better. Never mind that
That grinder, looks like best beast for a buck. I see they’re going for around 20k for a good condition used, which blows away the less powerful newer models.
Your RAYCO does fast work on those stumps with less stress on your body. It helps to have the right equipment for the job. What does a rig like that cost with a trailer? Do you ever have trouble getting paid after the job is done? Thanks.
@starman6092, I bought my setup in 2011 with the trailer for around $22,000 with 700 hrs on it. The right equipment does make the difference in a job. Thanks for watching!!
We Appreciate You
Always Apply Pressure 247, thank you sir!! Thanks for watching!
You are absolutely right 👍
Nathaniel Sauerwin, thanks for watching! Keep grinding sir
I just bought a DK2 14 inch wheel ogp888e I think 12 teeth stump grinder for $1400 I got a $150 stump to grind in the morning
@@nathanielsauerwin1685 now your making great money for a little investment. That's how people need to be right there. I saw a 252 Vermeer on Facebook Market place for $5,000 I thought that was a great price for a new guy starting out. Keep grinding!
I love your video, What size machine is that and how much did it cost, im looking to invest in one
tonypadgett123, 2004 Rayco Rg50 Super . Thanks for watching !!!
They always say they can rent the machine cheaper. But they never can.
You're right Dana
My reply to that is always, well go do it yourself cheaper then.
I've seen situations where the wife wants the husband to rent a machine and grind the stump. After he finds the cost and estimates the work it will take to pick it up, transport it to the work site, do the work which he is not familiar with, clean the machine, fill it with fuel and transport it back to the rental place, he sees that it's a bargain to have someone show up, disappear the stump while he drinks a few beers.
looks like you are going pretty deep. Are you getting the whole root ball out? Or do you have to leave some wood in the ground with that grinder?
If I am grinding small stumps like two foot or less, I grind the whole stump out. I try to go four to six inches deep for grass to grow. Thanks for watching!
How heavy is that stump grinder ?
I would say around 3,000 pounds
Is that a Deutz diesel? I'm looking at a 2003 super 50 66hp. They are asking $30k for it. Right now I own a Vermeer Sc30tx. Just wondered if you have had many engine issues or problems getting parts. Thanks for the great videos.
Jeremie, I have had no problems at all out of the motor. I have changed belts, batteries, and Hydraulic hoses the most. I would buy another in a heartbeat at a good price. Yes, It's a 2004 Rayco rg50 super 50 66hp. It will make you money. Thanks for watching!!!
I'm renting 1 for the first time to do a bunch of jobs from trees I cut for people. How deep should I go below ground level?
Justin Sigmon, it depends on if planting a tree or just growing grass. If its grass I would say 4 to 6 inches is good. Thanks for watching!!!
@Chris's Stump Grinding sounds great thank you for the help.
So how much for this job thanks
Cool accent
Starting out what machine would you get
I'm would start out with good used machine like a 252 Vermeer or Sg 40
unless you have a huge demand in your area.
I'd much rather do a bunch of smaller stumps than one large one. With my 1625 super Jr. It just takes to long.
Dale, me too
What size is that machine?
Farmerbob728, it's a 2004 Rayco Rg50 super 66 hp Thanks for watching!
I recently sold my stump grinding
business here in Brisbane Australia, and I had the same problem that you are having, so many times I would go to a job and after doing quoted amount of stumps the customer would miraculously find another one or two for me to do for free of course never fell for that trap. I had a minimum charge of $100 and sometimes it was a real battle people on the stand that you give them a quote and want to have given them that quote they would want to be
Peter, when you start out, I think everyone goes through the same thing with customers. I think everybody is charging a hundred-dollar minimum. Thanks for watching!
@@ChrissStumpGrinding I got a $500 minimum on bigger ones and $250 on the small ones but I also clean and fill standard. If someone wants to clean up on their own then I come down some.
I find stumps are best done by the hr not the job. $150-200hr.
Ben, I bid jobs both ways by the hr and the job. It just depends on the customer. Thanks for watching!!!
$5 a gallon, Meanwhile its $3 a litre here.
Brian, it's just too high
