Hello Brandon, thank you for your insight in this process. I just got an email to schedule the test and I am very looking forward to do it. Hopefully, I can get to the interview phase. Have a great day
Hi Brandon, I just passed the very first exam with pretty good ranking. Thank you very much for the tips. Just wondering what are those 10-12 listed questions about. Are they more technical questions or questions like the biggest weakness of you?
Hi Brandon. Thank you for your info. I applied a government accounting job as well. I didn’t go through any tests, just interviewed. Now I’m in the process of background check. I’m not sure if that’s a really good sign whether I am hired or not since everything takes so long 😢
Hello Brandon. Thank you for your words of useful insights. I am graduate of Bachelors degree who applied for the CPA license in New York. They evaluated my degree and credits and notified me that I was short of only 15 credits (135 got accepted out of 150). I am eager to know can there be any way of earning that extra 15 credits by doing classes anywhere and if yes, which university or community college would be a wise choice? Earnestly looking forward to your reply. Thank you
Thanks Brandon for the sharing. I am going to take the first exam you mentioned. Are they mainly about financial accounting terms and concepts, or is there a lot of calculations? Any focus on special topics such as internal control, etc?
Congrats P.R. I am too will take the first exam and I am also wondering what kind of questions will be there. I assuming that they will also test governmental accounting due to the difference in accounting methods from private sector to governmental. I hope he can provide us an insight. In the meantime, I'm studying governmental accounting from my CPA review. Best of luck, P.R.!
Just listening to that process is too much for me. Man you are better off starting your own business rather than begging the government for a few bucks.
