Not only a more economically shaped lap bar that feels slightly padded but also add stiffer check valve springs into the hydraulic restraint cylinders to prevent getting your thighs crushed as well for a more comfortable and scarier ride experience.
I actually liked the restraints. I’m 6’2” so my legs were numb but the feeling of being throw out of your seats I’ve never experienced (I was on the side).
Great video! In all actuallity the best way Ive found to ride is by setting the lap bar just above your leg. Now when the attendant checks the restraint its about 50/50 whever they staple you or not, and if they dont your in for a treat!
IG Coasters The best way for me (and a lot of people) is to scoot forward, so that your back is barely touching the seat and so that the restraints come down as close as possible to your hips.
I got to ride this beast back in July. This was my third hyper (second from Intamin). But I can see why they call it Thighcrush. If I didn't pass up Laff Trak, Skyrush would've been my 30th coaster credit!
I'm really excited for this coaster when I get the chance to ride it. The airtime can't be worse than my first time on Lightning Rod when it was going way above 73 mph.
Here’s my opinion on the restraints: I put socks in my pockets which actually helped 😂 5/6 times I rode was in a middle seat, and it wasn’t that bad. Front wing tho....nope. The restraint didn’t lock correctly with the socks. But overall it’s my number 1 coaster.
Rode this today in the back wing seat, and I have never felt anything that painful. Was not enjoyable in the rear left wing seat. New restraints would make a hell of a difference.
How to ride any ride by Pinfari Step One: Go to Japan Step Two: Congratulations, you just wasted all your money for something that you shouldn't do! Step Three: Decide not to ride it at the last second Step Four: Go back home and pray you can still pay your bills This is a coaster guide about how to -ride a ride by Pinfari- Become homeless.
Extended edition: Step One: Go to Japan Step Two: Congratulations, you just spent all your money on airline tickets Step Three: Get to the park Step Four: Decide not to ride it at the last second Step Five: Go ride Steel Dragon 2000, Takabisha or Eejanaika instead. Step Six: Go home and be glad you rode one of the better rides in Japan instead of a Pinfari.
Don't listen to these people. They clearly have some messed up legs or torsos or something. I've ridden skyrush a lot and it doesn't hurt my legs at all. It must be the awkward way these people position themselves in the seats or something. Just try to act big or something so that when they check the restraints, you have more room to move around.
2:12 WAIT THAT GIRL IN THE GREEN SHIRT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE ONE OF MY FRIENDS FROM SCHOOL AND WE LIVE PRETTY CLOSE TO HERSHEY PARK SO IT ACTUALLY COULD BE HOLY CRAP WTH
COASTER BOT I laughed at everything and my mom's slightly gp and doesn't remember riding this with me when we went and all she said was "did I hear them say something about the Intimidator" 😂
Ha. Being only a 5'6 guy has its advantages I guess. When I went there it rained for a few hours and everyone left the park. My cousin and I were the second group in line so we got the front row very quickly. Say I deserved it considering the last time before then I went to Hershey was my 8th grade school trip which went there literally ONE day before Skyrush opened. They even told us it was opening the day we went, but they lied. They were only testing.
Yea I rode this a year ago, and I’ve never felt more scared for my life. Right at the bottom of the first drop, my top half got thrown forward and I legit thought I was coming out of the ride. I put my hands up on everything, but had to actually grab on because I was t prepared Is that’s how it’s meant to be?
How to ride top thrill dragster (ttd) Step 1: go to cedar point even though you probably are at least 5 hour’s away from it Step 2: get there Step 3: see ttd is not open like always Step 4: go ride steel vengeance and maverick Step 5:come back to see it’s not open Step 6: go ride millennium force Step 7: leave and realize you didn’t ride ttd
Thanks for uploading this! I hope I can ride Skyrush next year when I come to the US (hopefully) and well... my legs... well... at least you can skip lines because you're disabled... I guess...
I was scared to ride this because of my legs. I'm heavy so I thought it would hurt. The only time it hurt was when they closed them. During the ride it was fine. Also the air time is amazing
I remember going on this with my mom a few years ago. I liked it but I do get the legs dying on it lmao my mom HATED it tho xD and I showed this to her a while back lmao
Hershey was a nicer, more open spaced park until it started getting overflown with Intamin coasters in my opinion. Skyrush alone, we had a section with 3 roller coasters and several flat rides, a log flume and plently of space to walk around. Comet, SuperDooperLooper, and Great Bear for the coasters. Skyrush looks so thrown in around Comet. Storm Runner was rough when it opened, the new restraints helped but it's so overrated, at least by locals. Fahrenheit is pretty solid, even if it looks like a Gerstauler infinity except more downtime.
HAHAHA definitrly the Thigh Crusher. Everytime I ride this it feels like the restraints are pressing so hard that a mush of leg muscle and fat spews out of the sides while the restraint keeps pressing until it reaches bone
This ride would be pretty amazing if it weren't for those restraints... I don't get why they can't lock into place after being checked to stop them from tightening so much.
i rode sky rush twice 2 years after it opened and i still cant walk the same to this day. any lap bar restaints give me ptsd back to my 2 rides on skyrush.
Intamin, pls. We have B&M Stand ups to crush our thighs, and new trains on some vekoma slc's to break our legs. I really hope those poor people at Energylandia won't have to deal with this trains. Also Hershey get Wildcat RMCED, like on the radar/waiting list, it'd be great addition!
OneAndOnlySound Intamin has improved their skyrush-style restraints and has implemented them on many rides. Just to name a few - flying aces, taron, soaring with dragon, red force, and probably the energylandia hyper
It really is not the bad, want to know what real thigh pain is like? Go to Cedar Point, ride Magnum in the third row and staple yourself has much as possible, you will literally come off with bruises on your thighs!
it's not that bad. on the other hand, bringing up magnum isn't going to help here i'm afraid. It's no better or worse, it really can use some new trains like B&M made for an overseas coaster. With skyrush it's kind of ridicoulous someone in 2012 (Skyrush) versus 1989 (Magnum) couldn't make more comfortable restraints, prototype design or not.
All jokes aside, my legs were extremely sore for the rest of the day, I seriously wish they would give it better restraints. If they didn't tighten periodically throughout the ride, it would be fine, but no, they just have to absolutely crush your legs, leaving you desperately struggling to get the lap bar up when about to go into the station.
Now do one for How to Ride i305: Step one: Enjoy the drop! Step 2: pass out on the turn around. Step 3: be woken up to sort of enjoy the whippy bits "close" to the ground. Step 4: Have a headache from being forced to grey out while you listen to masochist coaster "enthusiasts" preach on and on about how "good" i305 is even though you pass out for half the ride...
It's not as painful as people claim. Yes it's tight but you're not going to using a cane for the next two weeks. Swing your legs after they pop the bar if it hurts.
How to ride skyrush: don’t 😂 I remember riding this in 8th grade right after it opened on a school field trip and I have never experienced so much pain on a coaster from my head whipping around Other than that it is a fun ride
I don't think the restraint design is all that bad for a rather average sized guy like me who is about 5 foot 9. The coaster is just incredibly intense.
I got hit in the face from the restraints.. And it put a gash in my lower lip. Bewarned- dont lean foward when unbuckling your seatbelt .. Also - your thighs will thank you if u dont ride this
I honestly don't get the whole "thigh-crush" thing. The restraints don't hurt me at all and I've got long big legs... like how are ya'll sitting in those seats? Lol
Who's this nerd speaking?
COASTER BOT some British boi I heard he has a toaster channel
I wonder
some weirdo who drives around in a parrot...
COASTER BOT I bet he has Harry legs.
idk I think he likes a biscuit called chocolate digestives?
I'm 6'0" and I have t h i c c thighs, but I somehow still manage to ride this at least five times each time I go to Hershey.
Lucas Bradley same i used to weigh a lot 267(lost 80lbs) but it wasnt that bad, now that i lost weight i feel it lol
Maybe your thighs cushion it?
Lucas Bradley I’ve don’t ride many coasters but I think y’all are taking it to the extreme
Lucas Bradley it really just depends, some people (like me, sadly) are at that awkward point between clicks and the attendant pushes it one more time.
If Hershey Park changes the restraints... 🙏🙏🙏 (god music)
Six Flags King Seriously. With non-sadistic restraints this coaster would be perfection.
They use a softer material than when it opened and release them as soon as you stop. It's not near as painful as it was.
then you wouldnt feel like your going to die.... no point in not feeling alive for the last 6 seconds of your life ..
at least hershey park lifts your restraints on the brake run so its not very painful
Not only a more economically shaped lap bar that feels slightly padded but also add stiffer check valve springs into the hydraulic restraint cylinders to prevent getting your thighs crushed as well for a more comfortable and scarier ride experience.
I still need a "How to Ride a Vekoma SLC without loosing your Head" guide. That would be highly benefitial to people all around the world.
There is no way to ride a Vekoma SLC without losing your head
Ride Great Norester at Morey’s Piers. The owners of that pier park and vekoma worked together and turned the worst invert to the best invert.
I actually liked the restraints. I’m 6’2” so my legs were numb but the feeling of being throw out of your seats I’ve never experienced (I was on the side).
God I love Coaster Studios. And I like Coaster Bot, too. :)
Only like for me? Disappointed ;)
COASTER BOT Well the comment would have sounded weird.
Make more of these please, cause I love both of your channels
That's awesome to hear, I do hope there's more coming in the future too! :)
Fact: skyrush is my fav coaster ever from the drops to the airtime I love it
How to Ride a Chance Toboggan Coaster: "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
I rode the one at Lakemont and it was brutal, rather ride Skyliner or Leap the Dips (which was insanely fun).
How to ride: Tempesto with Dodonpa's Launch.
Great video! In all actuallity the best way Ive found to ride is by setting the lap bar just above your leg. Now when the attendant checks the restraint its about 50/50 whever they staple you or not, and if they dont your in for a treat!

How to feel force on millennium force
Ride the back seat on a hot day
Just ride the ride
Probably the best Survival Guide yet!
6’1” and this is still my favorite
Thighcrush
Amazing, Coaster Bot and Taylor. Best "How to Ride..." yet, in my opinion.
I got to ride this beast back in July. This was my third hyper (second from Intamin). But I can see why they call it Thighcrush.
If I didn't pass up Laff Trak, Skyrush would've been my 30th coaster credit!
This is great I’ve always wanted to know how to ride Skyrush
This is one of the better ones.
How To : Ride Wildcat without breaking any bones
I'm really excited for this coaster when I get the chance to ride it. The airtime can't be worse than my first time on Lightning Rod when it was going way above 73 mph.
Plz do more of this, Taylor!
Should've gotten a B&M
Leo Allentoff welp they just made one for HersheyPark called candymonium
darrell washington yeah lmao
Leo Allentoff but I am just now seeing you posted this two years ago😭
This comment aged like a fine wine. 👍
Yes the leg this was halarious!
Here’s my opinion on the restraints:
I put socks in my pockets which actually helped 😂 5/6 times I rode was in a middle seat, and it wasn’t that bad. Front wing tho....nope. The restraint didn’t lock correctly with the socks. But overall it’s my number 1 coaster.
As a person going to this video for actual info this was very helpful! 😂
Step 1: Don't
This has been coaster tips.
That's basically how to ride a Vekoma SLC.
Thanks for the heart Taylor it means so much I love jour channel
I love this ride as much as i305! Keep up the good work!
Rode this today in the back wing seat, and I have never felt anything that painful. Was not enjoyable in the rear left wing seat. New restraints would make a hell of a difference.

And then go homeless
Honestly, if you're going to go on a trip to Japan you should at least make sure you're not going to starve over it.
VestedUTuber also do-dodonpa, bandit, Fujiyama, and pretty much any Togo in Japan.
I’m going next Sunday so this is handy
I’m with you. One of the greatest coasters I’ve ever ridden, but also the most painful. And no, those two things are not related.
I am going to Hershey this summer and so excited to go on this but this just made me nervous 😂
Best how to ride video
2:12 WAIT THAT GIRL IN THE GREEN SHIRT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE ONE OF MY FRIENDS FROM SCHOOL AND WE LIVE PRETTY CLOSE TO HERSHEY PARK SO IT ACTUALLY COULD BE HOLY CRAP WTH
lol that dab was funny at 0:40
The part we’re he said to raise your hands instead of trying to lift the restraints is relatable
I love these videos 😂
Awesome!
COASTER BOT I laughed at everything and my mom's slightly gp and doesn't remember riding this with me when we went and all she said was "did I hear them say something about the Intimidator" 😂
the leg stuff was filmed at KD if front of the rock shop
Ha. Being only a 5'6 guy has its advantages I guess. When I went there it rained for a few hours and everyone left the park. It never hurt my legs, but man that airtime was amazing
Hahaha. This was pure gold. Made me chuckle a bit. 😂
This needs a coaster parody like if you agree
Yea I rode this a year ago, and I’ve never felt more scared for my life. Right at the bottom of the first drop, my top half got thrown forward and I legit thought I was coming out of the ride. I put my hands up on everything, but had to actually grab on because I was t prepared
Is that’s how it’s meant to be?
FPG Matthew yes
Yep, my mother had the same thing happen, my guess is you were right wing seat in the back.
if i go to hershy dis year, i will ride this
I think so. Sounds like really strong ejector/inertia.
Perfection!
I’ve never had a problem with this ride and my legs haha
How to ride top thrill dragster (ttd)
Step 1: go to cedar point even though you probably are at least 5 hour’s away from it
Step 2: get there
Step 3: see ttd is not open like always
Step 4: go ride steel vengeance and maverick
Step 5:come back to see it’s not open
Step 6: go ride millennium force
Step 7: leave and realize you didn’t ride ttd
I love step nine.
Idk it's my #2 rn I love it
Do one of these for Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit!
Alex Guerin Yess. That’s my favorite coaster ever.
Do more parody’s plz Taylor even though their hard to make they are the best things on your channel
I don't think sky rush is uncomfortable it's a great roller coaster and people just need to suck it up the wing seats are the best on the ride
When I was 14 I rode this it was actually about 5 months and it’s so painful I almost cried
Like the new intro
Landon Berg it's actually not new, I've used it in a few other survival guides. I only use it for these videos, but i'm glad you like it!
Coaster Studios I don't watch many of these type of your vids I can kinda see how u mixed it with the coaster bot logo
Thanks for uploading this! I hope I can ride Skyrush next year when I come to the US (hopefully) and well... my legs... well... at least you can skip lines because you're disabled... I guess...
They should all have the new restraints because great noreaster Is actually good according to taylor
I’m 6’1 290lbs, it’s not that bad. The restraints aren’t painful for me, whoever designed them just sucks.
I needed this😂
But what I want to know, is how to ride without getting a headache
1:51 it says hooray
My legs don't hurt at all on this ride i don't understand what people are complaining about.
DisnerdVlogs the restraints can come down hard on your thighs to tight sometimes and if they push ooooffff
I was scared to ride this because of my legs. I'm heavy so I thought it would hurt. The only time it hurt was when they closed them. During the ride it was fine. Also the air time is amazing
I remember going on this with my mom a few years ago. I liked it but I do get the legs dying on it lmao my mom HATED it tho xD and I showed this to her a while back lmao
lol I can't even go on it I don't live near there but if I go on sky rush one day I can use this for help
I love this omg
“Step 1: if you’re above 6ft”
Welp I’m out. See y’all on comet
Yeah... You have fun with your crushed legs. I'll go ride Lightning Racer instead. Shorter line.
Hershey was a nicer, more open spaced park until it started getting overflown with Intamin coasters in my opinion. Skyrush is mankind’s greatest creation
Hmm, great advice
HAHAHA definitrly the Thigh Crusher. Everytime I ride this it feels like the restraints are pressing so hard that a mush of leg muscle and fat spews out of the sides while the restraint keeps pressing until it reaches bone

Is there a noticeable difference in airtime between the inner seats and the winged seats?
How to ride the ninja at six flags St. Louis. I rode it a long time ago when I knew nothing about coasters, and I got a bad headache.

Like ergonomically shaped lap bars with a more supple self skinning foam.
I’m 6,1 at over 200 but I’m going on it and I’m at least going on it once in my life
One time they let me stay on like 5 times and the restaurants as not that bad.
Do how to ride the smiler
Now do one for How to Ride i305: Step one: Enjoy the drop! Step 2: pass out on the turn around. Step 3: be woken up to sort of enjoy the whippy bits "close" to the ground. Maybe is you weren't such a puzzy it would have been better
Good ride but storm runner is better in my opinion.
CoasterFan7127 I agree. Not a popular opinion
I kinda think Storm Runner is worse than Skyrush but your opinion is fine
This will come handy, oh wait, I don't have legs, I'm a seal! :D
Is it possible to fall out of this ride?
Ok like for real is there any way I can ride this without getting leg pain? I'm going to Hershey next year and I want to ride this.
YE
Bring two small pillows and stuff them into your pants beforehand.
It's not as painful as people claim. Yes it's tight but you're not going to using a cane for the next two weeks. Swing your legs after they pop the bar if it hurts.
When you plan a trip around riding skyrush and el toro only to learn they r closed for the season..... i wish i could lose my legs riding it
He referenced intimidator 305!! That’s my home park!
Thanks for coming to kings dominion... ride on!
How to Ride -skyrush- Wicked at -hersheypark- Lagoon
How to ride the Fury!
Very funny video
How to ride skyrush: don’t 😂
I remember riding this in 8th grade right after it opened on a school field trip and I have never experienced so much pain on a coaster from my head whipping around
Other than that it is a fun ride
Coaster Studios Make a Parody of this!
I have a feeling the fiery fist o pain from spongebob is made by Intimin
is the crushing really thaaaaat bad?
Joshy Bubble yes.
I don't think the restraint design is all that bad for a rather average sized guy like me who is about 5 foot 9. The coaster is just incredibly intense.
My dad got a Charlie horse after riding skyrush. I don't ride it because every time something happens it would kill my legs
What if im 6ft and 200lbs, does that cancel out the pain
i think so yeah
What's up Coaster Bot
Nothing much, you? :)
Lol
Idk but but for me these restraints are unbearably painful. Feels like a bus driving over your thighs.
