I feel the same way about American music videos lol I show my friends Kpop MVs because just the performance aspect alone you can see how much they care. Paired with the set design and camera angles and lighting it just makes for such an enjoyable MV compared to a lot of American videos where there's not much going on. Like no shade but some artists do the bare minimum in their music videos because they can get away with it.
Yep, I agree a lot of american pop videos are not so cinematografic but I personally think it's because music video culture is kinda dead in USA since MTV doesn't have any finger in music industry anymore. And pop has became more about vocals, melody and message and less about visuals and choreo like it was in the past so I guess artists think they don't need spend money doing fancy music videos anymore.

Like the variety in music and groups, and talents kpop has literally EVERYTHING, it never gets boring! Also those amount of variety shows they are on are also very enjoyable!!!
