"It was his first time feeling disappointment" insert opening music to Pixar's Up over images of ALMOST EVERY FILM to come from Hollywood over the last fifteen years
We getting the whole PointlessHub series!! Can't wait for 1986
I kinda love this movie, it gave us one of the greatest fights in cinema the forest battle is peak cinematography
I remember kid me crying seeing Optimus die.
As dumb as it seems, the girl bot does kind of work as a Bayverse Pretender.
Pretenders in G1 were robots that hid in organic shells. Mirage and Grimlock were pretenders, and twi popular decepticons, Bludgeon and Thunderwing, started as Pretenders. And this version, I'll admit, I kinda liked this as a Bayverse iteration of a Pretender.
Granted, wasting it on getting Sam out of college is horrendously stupid when you could've replaced a NEST agent with that, but it's still a cool rework.
I do hate how this was the first and last movie in this film series where Arcee, Chromia and Elita-1 starred in because they all died and got no character, but the jabbering racial stereotypes got more time. Not the ancient seeker that has the most Based vehicle mode, not the version of Sideswipe that was awesome and actually cool, not the three ladies who became motorcycles (that aren't visually appealing but whatever); nope, just the abominable versions of Skids and Mudflap with a new Wheelie that was somehow, *SOMEHOW* more annoying than the G1 version.
BTW, if you are burned out on Transfirners stuff, I do recommend seeing Transformers One. After a slog through the Bayverse, it's the closest this franchise is getting to a rejuvenating bath in waters of the River Jordan.
Transformers One was so surprisingly good. I felt slightly odd about some of the choices but it worked as time went on- namely I felt Megatron's voice was a bit... idk, it felt odd, it didn't quite work right away, but toward the end? Okay yeah no I think I can get behind it as the movie evolved the characters.
@JetBalrog Quite honestly, it was my biggest surprise. I was gonna skip it until I saw reviewers I trust say up and down it was good. And when I left, I was way happier than I thought I'd be. It's the best film this franchise has had since the 1986 film.
Of course, knowing it was a box office bomb by _barely_ $20M did hurt quite a bit as I keep seeing more mediocre slop surpass it's earnings, but hey, it's gotten a rebirth on streaming and, hopefully, Blu-Ray sales.
Can't wait for you to see the animated transformers series video he did, was supposed to be just the 1 movie but needed the entire series for context.
7:34 I agree 100%. Pretenders are weird enough to introduce into Live Action TF w/o doing it the way they did it. And no Bludgeon. He even had a *toy* in that year's line. Brand new mold, too- not a redeco
Honestly, between the iconic forest fight scene and the introduction to my favorite autobot sideswipe is the only reason why i kinda like this movie, cgi of course was always good, love or hate bay the effects and cgi were really ahead of its time back then and while i wish i got the lambo twins and sideswipe rocking his iconic lambo (could be any modle), his design was very unique and slick and badass, but other than that, this movie had me constantly scratching my head in terms of the plot and jokes (they were very bad)
Its only when i read the movie comic that i realized how much stuff they cut out and change and the fact that the movie comics at least tried to make more sence for the sequel to the first movie and fill in certant blanks like how bee, dispite hearing his voice at the end of the first movie, was still damaged in the second one
Unfortunately Transformers 2 is better then most modern cinema for the past 10 years.
Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon isn't too bad. Though could have been better with the ending especially for the deleted scene ending the war.
The only thing I like about this film is the forest fight and the Jetfire combination, that’s it
Funny thing. As a Pole, due to cultural and geographical conditions, when I watched this movie as a kid (born in 1990 x3) I didn't catch for a moment that these two round clowns were supposed to be an allegory for black people xD
You are not alone same here just in 2000's xD
don't know if you were hating the choice for a human transformer or the stuff before the reveal but there's precident for such transformers existing, they were known as the pretenders and turned into humans/monsters
Immediate Like for the cat.
Great video !
I am not sure if you seen the new animated movie, but ,ou really should check it out.
I get people are entitled to enjoy anything they want as long as that doesn't harm others but I am frustrated that enough people go to watch these bad series enough for them to be kept being made. The only reason I am not more upset about that is that politics drives me even more up the wall and into space.
Can you react to turning worthless rats into terrifying assassins in total warhammer 3 by brilliant stupidity
another round of self flagellation incoming. and the bad taste wont leave until its fith sequel? is it a sharknado level threat?
The only thing that was good about this movie was the forest fight and that's it.
