Nah, the grind and time of spending on raids is not worth it. Seems like way too much stress and I don't plan on doing them anytime soon. They should add a lot more different items to make it worth. Beastmoon has a little bit of stress but I still enjoy doing that sometimes. I'm probably gonna get back to other games after my membership ends in about a month or 2.
Ye raids are just an optional hardcore gamemode you do when you're absolutely bored and have lots of time to spare.
Fantastic video! I think raids on a smaller scale could be so fun, 30-40 mins matches, once every day and maybe spells like in beastmoon to make it accessible & equal to everyone no matter the level 😄
The fact that raids take 12 people, most players in this game don't care to cooperate or just straight up don't know how to play optimally, and that its locked behind guilds just kills it entirely for me. I have no interest in ever doing it and if it ever comes to a point where raid gear is required to be meta in PvP I'll just quit. I play way more than just Wiz and don't wanna spend all my free time on a brain dead raid, it's why I quit playing most MMOs aside from this one. KI doesn't respect peoples time and don't care that the majority of people spending money on their game are people that have to work and don't have time for such activities regularly.

Tbh I'm not even close to late game I'm in Polaris and it all sounds convoluted, I get communication is key but it doesn't wanna make me go, yea I wanna do this. I get it, it's for people who wanted a challenge, I'm just here to play the story xD
Ye it’s more of side gamemode like PVP, Beastmoon and deckathalon. Basically for those who want to continue their wiz addiction when the game gets stale from normal PVE
I like the questions you asked at the start. I defo understand how disincentivising the drops are, but it’s been awesome to meet new people, and a challenge has been nice since everything else is pretty easy

I think it highly depends on the guild you join. All it took for me to get into a guild was post on LFG and I got lucky with getting into a really beginner friendly guild. A big thing that has kept it interesting is varying team setups as well as giving new people chances to try different roles. Most guilds only really look for aeon gear and for you to be willing to make a raid pet. As stated I think it all depends on the goal of the guild. If it’s max wins and just for farming it definitely gets boring especially having to commit to the 3 hours straight.
I think the barriers of entry for raids are just too high for most players. I joined a guild when guilds first came out but most of the members got tired of farming for azoth pretty quickly. We never even got to unlocking the raid island and at this point the guild is kinda dead. I play beastmoon a lot but I've never even tried a raid.
I play beastmoon just because its fun, not even because of the rewards. Beastmoon you can go in on a low level wizard with a team of randoms and still have fun but to even scratch the surface of raids it seems like you have to have a maxed wizard with high level cantrips.
Yeah you will have to join a bigger guild that has already done the grinding. When guilds were first released, I created my own guild and its basically dead because the grinding was too much for such little return value. As for the barrier of entry to raids, its not that bad. You can be a drummer at any level (but drumming is the most boring position). You need to be a max level for the outside fights. And for Vanguard, you'll need the perfect pet and good stats. To me, all of the roles are super boring though. Raids are only worth it if you have nothing to do on the game and want to continue your wiz addiction when your member runs out
Raids would be alright if: you could team up with anyone (randomly) and if there was no key required to join that requires grinding to acquire, and if your school didn't decide that you can't fight at all but you must do the drum game all the time.

No #1 storm vanguard footage? As you’ve heard us say in the guild , the idea of having a portal to send someone from outside into vanguard is something I wish they’d kept, having the outside fights add time as well as the cantrips would be a good incentive for outside to do more fights and keep them occupied
All my #TotallyBestStormVanguard footage got deleted from twitch vods 🥲 And yep, I definitely wish there were more things to do during the off-period from the outsiders / If a vanguard player could go over to drums etc since we’re all in a VC to communicate switching roles anyways. Having the portal teleporter idea to allow role flexibility during the raid and peaking at the vanguarders giving them a little audience is a brilliant idea. On the outside, I’m thinking they should add fishing where we can fish up some potions and cantrip TC’s and I also agree with having fights that add more time. So much potential to raids. I wonder if they will ever meet it
I see no pros other than feeling good about collecting everything. If I want social interaction I can get it alot easier by chatting with other players I come across, If I want a challenge no aoe and no feint stacking, if I want a rewarding experience I'd actually rather stealth gift someone something off their wishlist and see the tank you in chat.
Yep. Raids are just optional gamemode similar to PVP. With pvp you gain literally nothing other than feeling trash that you keep losing or going against scummy players. But the reason why people continue to play it is because they have time to spare. Same with raids. If you have time to spare and want to do something hardcore then thats the gamemode for you. Raids definitely only cater to a very very small portion of the playerbase.

As someone who plays casually and doesn't have the time, knowledge, stats, or social connections to do a raid, I've accepted that this type of content is straight up something I won't ever be able to experience. But honestly I'm fine with that. The people that do raids are the hardcore players who spend hundreds, if not thousands, of hours and dollars on this game. And those players need to be happy because otherwise this game will lose most of its funding lol

yes, you'll need to transition to the discord world haha. That's why I like beastmoon mayhem because its similar to raids but having more variety because you can choose what form you want to play or if your form is already taken, you have to learn how to play a new form. You don't ever need to be in a discord call in Beastmoon unless you completely have no idea how to play and want someone to teach you during the call. Raids on the other hand, you have to join them regardless of how experienced you are. Definitely a turn-off for text based chatters
I dont enjoy raid mainly because I am ice and Ice just never get taken for anything probably other than drums are drums are boreding. I have a raiding background from FF14 so this was very disappointing for me

They literally killed raiding when they switched it to pvp rules. But no one talks about that 😂
