- Jaquency is one of the most well know Legends in Memphis TN, he still in his later stages of dance and still getting better with time. He has influenced many of todays top dancers in Memphis and also has a history that dates back to the early 90's. Here is snippet of The History of the Gangsta Walk DVD, which can be ordered on www.zrgalaxy.ning.com. This clip is what set the benchmark for most new age gangsta walkers.

Brand new to this world. One thing I notice is that these cats' style has a lot more connection to "gangsta"...the newer style which is what I saw first has more acrobatics and technical dance art to it which is terrific. However, this style is what draws me in more.

From what I remember it being described as an evolution, gangsta walkin was all about the footwork less arm motions, as it evolved to jookin it's what you described more acrobatic.
