When one of them asked if they were sure Pan was still alive after thousands of years I'm guessing they never heard about the fact that god are immortal and don't die.
Theory: what if monokuma has everybody around the world in a killing game and ruined the world himself? I mean we can already see he can alter memories
I've gotta say Midorya would probably be a better choice since his mom is actually nice, and his dad apparently split since he's never mentioned outside of when he learns he didn't have a quirk
