I love giving money to ppl but also been burned a lot. Asking for money to eat only to run down to the liquor store or buy drugs with it.

People treat the homeless like shit and many of them are the nicest and most genuine people around. Parts of this video are beautiful but the way that the “well off” people acted is extremely sad. People that have it rough know how hard it is so they want to help when they see others hurting. Spoiled entitled brats don’t know what it’s like to struggle.

You should have gotten that police officer’s name and badge number. The fact that he’s supposed to be “serving the community” and yet he told someone who is thirsty (and possibly dehydrated) to go away. Just wow. Officers literally keep bottles of water in their cruisers for this reason.

This was an excellent social experiment. I watched the whole video and tried my best to not cry. It gives hope knowing there are good people in this messed up world. This just shows you that many of the less fortunate, have the purest hearts, and many of those who are fortunate, are greedy and selfish. The last guy in the wheel chair and the guy who gave up his shoes almost made me cry.
The best part of this whole video was around 6:12 where the homeless guy goes "Why not?' to Opto's question if he is going to buy him a taco...THAT right there sums up the attitude we should all have toward those less fortunate. Forget the divisive politics and stupid arguments. Why Not help somebody out when you have the ability to do it? For most people, giving a few bucks is no big deal, but to this man it was EVERYTHING he had and YET he still gave the money to Opto!
