I love the sermon and always love how Pastor uses samples that are relatable. But today I felt like the food misused could have fed lots of hungry people out there. Just my thought. But the message was good. God bless you all. 🙏🏼
What’s weird is I had a revelation about my health on Day 1 of the fast and I joined a gym been doing small workouts in the morning since ……this can only be God…..just commented so that I can come back with my testimony this time next year

IMO, whether or not the syrup illustration was appropriate is not a priority issue. What is a concern is him changing the meaning of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. If you read verses 13-18, Paul clearly lays out that the context of this scripture is sexual immorality, not healthy eating (although healthy eating and exercise is of benefit to us). The illustration is actually an accurate representation of those of us who have continued in sexual sin but keep going on like everything is all good. Sexual temptations are a leading stronghold and stumbling block for many of us that are trying to follow Christ. It is not good for a "pastor" to change the context of this verse written by an Original Apostle, to fit his own sermon of encouraging people to eat healthy.
This man convicted me of my eating habits while I was eating and cooking in my kitchen. Boy oh boy. This same message came thru at. my own church. The lord has spoken and I have received it.

My sermon notes for "Start Sharp// Fit to finish" week 4: 1.) Are you fit to finish what God has called you to do? 2.) What version ot you are you getting? This is not about superficial desires but about supernatural discipline 3.) FIT - a suitable quality, standard, or type to meet a required purpose. Being fit is not a size, it's about a standard 4.) Is your health worth following? Worship is not the songs you sing but rather the way you live 5.) People should be able to look at every area of your life and see God. Remember, it's not just physical health, but mental, spiritual, and emotional health is just as important. Offer your body as a living sacrifice every day. The Lord looks at your heart both spiritually and physically. Health is all about the heart. 6.) God will never ask you to do something that he has not equipped you to do. Your body is borrowed. It doesn't matter where you start in your journey. 7.) God is way more concerned with your body than the building. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit. You make him inhabit a place that you do not clean. Health is not something you need a miracle for, it's a decision 8.) It's not about body image, it's about God's image. What's not transformed is transferred. Be consistent, it takes time to transform your temple. Slow growth= strong roots 9.) Fitness is an act of faith. You have to have fitness to finish the race 10.) Declare this statement over yourself: " I will be fit for the finish" Scripture reference: 1 Samuel 16:7 Romans 12:1-2 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 9:24-27 Hebrews 12:11

I just wanted to let you know that 43:05 is not necessary. The illustration of the car being lent to us and us being more protective over something lent than of what is ours was sufficient, but to do that to the written word of God is an issue. Let's not forget that people died for the Bible you and I have, and some even to this day.

This sermon was a revelation for me. Just today, I got sick after drinking cranberry juice. Not pure cranberry juice, but the kind with high levels of sugar. I prayed to the Father for healing, and I was lead to go back to eating the food from the Daniel Fast (Plant-based) I had been eating during the 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer along with drinking water. I am now back to normal, and the sickness is gone. Amen! Starting last year, the Holy Spirit has placed me in a Plant-based culinary arts program where I prepare plant-based foods. Now, it is evident that I go all in with Plant-based eating as a living sacrifice for proper worship. Thank you, Pastor Michael Todd, for heeding the word from the Father and sharing it with us along with sharing your testimony as well.

Haven't had a hot flash in days....I was having them daily. Multiple times a day. This fast has revealed that I need to watch what I consume...eating, visually, audibly, etc
My brother is 20 years old with severe autism. We really connect with him through play too. It is rough. But thank you for your message. My dad and I both have been getting healthier and fitter. It is hard but got to keep going.
I've been consistently dieting and exercising for a couple of months now, with nothing to show for it. I was greatly discouraged and really ready to give up... again. Listened to this on my way to work this morning and was encouraged to keep going. Went back to the gym after work and did a little at home exercise when I got home. Praying the Lord will bless my efforts as long as I'm consistent.🙏
You got this! You are not alone. Small steps produce big results. I started a weight loss journey in 2022, it took me 1 year and half to lose 57 lbs but I stuck with it. I wanted to Quit when I lost both of my parents in 2023 but I trusted God and pushed through and I made it and still losing by the grace of God. Consistency will get you there. This was one of the best messages I have seen and listened to you preach!! I have NEVER heard anyone preach a message about making what you did in prayer in fasting a lifestyle! I went from a life of gluttony being exposed in your cuffed to the cake to this being my first prayer and fasting. I did no sweets and no meats this last month and through your message the Holy Spirit said Now I want you to do this the rest of the year and I agreed to partner with him in this new healthy lifestyle! God has promised me another child and through this lifestyle change I am doing my part and believing him for the miracle in his part in this coming to pass this year!!! Every time I think of breaking my fast I will picture me throwing junk on top of the Holy Spirit and how much that breaks my heart to do that to him. That demonstration I'm going to show my kids to help me explain to them porn food music everything we put in our bodies this is what we are doing to the Holy Spirit. I dont see anything wrong with fasting as a church. But if jesus intructs us to do it in secret and in private so that he will openly reward us. Cheering a guy who has no problem making a mess on top of a Bible, rubbing saliva on another man's face or having a co pastor speak and say we don't make it rain for strippers and comparing Jesus to a stripper.
He took the scripture way out of context. David's story has nothing to do with gluttony. God isn't choosing people in the Bible because they were physically fit. He should have just made a separate workshop on the importance of diet and physical fitness. It is undeniably an important topic. He said the leading cause of death in America is heart disease, which is true and the leading cause of heart disease is obesity. So, it's a very important topic, but don't twist scripture to fit your narrative. Also, desecrating a Bible is going too far. It had nothing to do with the temple metaphor. Stay vigilant Christians. Stand on the Word, and only the Word. Fact check everything that these preachers say.
You stated, "God isn't choosing people in the Bible because they were physically fit." Try reading Proverbs 31 for example. The woman he describes needs to be physically fit in order to complete all those tasks. If her heart is in the right place then it will show up as fruit in her life and she will do what she has to do to be fit to handle those tasks. It's possible that Michael Todd got a revelation about David story that some of us have not yet. Pray about it. Did you learn something? that is the point

I can't agree with you in saying that Todd received a revelation about something that is not in Scripture. Proverbs 31 lists good characteristics or traits of those women, He is not choosing them for anything. I will leave you with Revelation 22:18-19; "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." You can't bend or add to the Word of God to fit a theme or topic that you choose. The Word says what it says and should use it as such. I did not learn anything from Todd or his message besides that fact that he is foolish. I will continue to pray for him.
The fact that this sermon was about what I have been really thinking abt. I have been neglecting myself and not taking care of my health. This was really meant for me and now I Will change and begin the progress of getting my body right not for just myself but for God. I need to do what I was called for, can’t do it if I’m dead. Y'all call y'all selves a church yet you go against God's word. 1 Timothy 2:12 (kjv) But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. Y'all literally have multiple woman pastors. James 3:1 (kjv) My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. The teachers of The Word of God are going to be judged the most. Mike Todd you choosing to go against the Word of God yet calling yourself a pastor proves you really aren't a pastor. And your letting these woman be pastors so your letting them and yourself go against The Word of God. Also in James 3:1 (kjv) James says brethren he doesn't say sisters.
Maybe Pastor Todd needs to preach the verse in the context of Scripture. The verse says nothing about keeping the body fit, but rather deals with sexual immorality.
Watching this as a soon to be doctor gives a lot of clarity as to why God has called me to care for the body, beyond how weak we might think the flesh it, it has been created by God to carry great destinies

I love a good demonstration of the message but, in light of those struggling with having enough to eat, could you stop with the discarding of perfectly good food like the carton of eggs? Please consider that there are those you lead who have to go to bed hungry.

It is a powerful sermon on gluttony and the first time I heard him tackle the issue of gluttony . Praying for strength for all who want to the stronghold of gluttony to be broken in their lives.🙏🏾

1.) Are you fit to finish what God has called you to do?
2.) What version ot you are you getting? This is not about superficial desires but about supernatural discipline
3.) FIT - a suitable quality, standard, or type to meet a required purpose. Being fit is not a size, it's about a standard
4.) Is your health worth following? Worship is not the songs you sing but rather the way you live
5.) People should be able to look at every area of your life and see God. Remember, it's not just physical health, but mental, spiritual, and emotional health is just as important. Offer your body as a living sacrifice every day. The Lord looks at your heart both spiritually and physically. Health is all about the heart.
6.) God will never ask you to do something that he has not equipped you to do. Your body is borrowed. It doesn't matter where you start in your journey.
7.) God is way more concerned with your body than the building. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit. You make him inhabit a place that you do not clean. Health is not something you need a miracle for, it's a decision
8.) It's not about body image, it's about God's image. What's not transformed is transferred. Be consistent, it takes time to transform your temple. Slow growth= strong roots
9.) Fitness is an act of faith. You have to have fitness to finish the race
10.) Declare this statement over yourself: " I will be fit for the finish"

I just wanted to let you know that 43:05 is not necessary. The illustration of the car being lent to us and us being more protective over something lent than of what is ours was sufficient, but to do that to the written word of God is an issue. This sermon was a revelation for me. Just today, I got sick after drinking cranberry juice. Not pure cranberry juice, but the kind with high levels of sugar. I prayed to the Father for healing, and I was lead to go back to eating the food from the Daniel Fast (Plant-based) I had been eating during the 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer along with drinking water. I am now back to normal, and the sickness is gone. Amen! Starting last year, the Holy Spirit has placed me in a Plant-based culinary arts program where I prepare plant-based foods. Now, it is evident that I go all in with Plant-based eating as a living sacrifice for proper worship. Thank you, Pastor Michael Todd, for heeding the word from the Father and sharing it with us along with sharing your testimony as well.

Haven't had a hot flash in days....I was having them daily. Multiple times a day. This fast has revealed that I need to watch what I consume...eating, visually, audibly, etc
My brother is 20 years old with severe autism. We really connect with him through play too. It is rough. But thank you for your message. My dad and I both have been getting healthier and fitter. It is hard but got to keep going.

I've been consistently dieting and exercising for a couple of months now, with nothing to show for it. I was greatly discouraged and really ready to give up... again. Listened to this on my way to work this morning and was encouraged to keep going. Went back to the gym after work and did a little at home exercise when I got home. Praying the Lord will bless my efforts as long as I'm consistent.🙏

You got this! You are not alone. Small steps produce big results. I started a weight loss journey in 2022, it took me 1 year and half to lose 57 lbs but I stuck with it. I wanted to Quit when I lost both of my parents in 2023 but I trusted God and pushed through and I made it and still losing by the grace of God. Consistency will get you there. I did no sweets and no meats this last month and through your message the Holy Spirit said Now I want you to do this the rest of the year and I agreed to partner with him in this new healthy lifestyle! Cheering a guy who has no problem making a mess on top of a Bible, rubbing saliva on another man's face or having a co pastor speak and say we don't make it rain for strippers and comparing Jesus to a stripper.
He took the scripture way out of context. David's story has nothing to do with gluttony. God isn't choosing people in the Bible because they were physically fit. He should have just made a separate workshop on the importance of diet and physical fitness. It is undeniably an important topic. He said the leading cause of death in America is heart disease, which is true and the leading cause of heart disease is obesity. So, it's a very important topic, but don't twist scripture to fit your narrative. Also, desecrating a Bible is going too far. It had nothing to do with the temple metaphor. Stay vigilant Christians. Stand on the Word, and only the Word. Fact check everything that these preachers say.

You stated, "God isn't choosing people in the Bible because they were physically fit." Try reading Proverbs 31 for example. The woman he describes needs to be physically fit in order to complete all those tasks. If her heart is in the right place then it will show up as fruit in her life and she will do what she has to do to be fit to handle those tasks. It's possible that Michael Todd got a revelation about David story that some of us have not yet. Pray about it. Did you learn something? that is the point

I can't agree with you in saying that Todd received a revelation about something that is not in Scripture. Proverbs 31 lists good characteristics or traits of those women, He is not choosing them for anything. I will leave you with Revelation 22:18-19;
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
You can't bend or add to the Word of God to fit a theme or topic that you choose. The Word says what it says and should use it as such. I did not learn anything from Todd or his message besides that fact that he is foolish. I will continue to pray for him.

Maybe Pastor Todd needs to preach the verse in the context of Scripture. The verse says nothing about keeping the body fit, but rather deals with sexual immorality.
Watching this as a soon to be doctor gives a lot of clarity as to why God has called me to care for the body, beyond how weak we might think the flesh it, it has been created by God to carry great destinies

What I learned it if you don’t have a good heart physically or not in good physical shape God can’t use you !! That’s crazy and that’s the total opposite of who God is. You know how many people have been used of the lord not in good shape or have a good physical heart that’s ridiculous
