Wow, this was the clearest and most well-explained video for Russian greetings I've found! Thanks for this :) I'm really unfamiliar with your language (just started learning some words), and this helped so much. Thanks!
I'll check it out! There's a lot to see on your channel. I just started with your "Speaking lessons for BEGINNERS" playlist. For me, I'm interested in learning Russian to converse with a friend who's currently staying in St Petersburg for fun; I'm not sure if I'll write much. Is it still important to learn written Russian, to better understand the speech? I ask this because I know that learning how to read and write in French helped me to learn to speak in French, for example.
это очень просто, если вы просто поздороваетесь, это проще, чем поздороваться с другими, и мне нравится видео, это для людей, которые хотят выучить больше языков ✨🦋
Hello! That's so great that you like the russian language! I also teach russian to foreigners in english and in french! Hello! thank you so much for your tutorials. I recently started to "attempt" to learn Russian. I have made a little progress, however I'm finding it extremely difficult. Your tutorials are very helpful, thank you!
I'm a filipino trying to learn Russian, and boy, wow. My American friends say that speaking in Tagalog is hard, they should try speaking in Russian, it's a literal tongue twister. I still love it tho.
Thank you for pointing out the subtilty of the not prononced B! I thought one has to prononce it but in a way not to emphasize it; that makes thing very difficult for me. Now it's clear, and much simpler :-)
I realized that i am learning the Russan Language on this channel easily. I have been studying Russian language with Russian people and Russian people who can speak my language Turkish. I can understand the lessons. This is about Teaching method. Thank You Teacher. ' Hi. ' :)

I have a couple etiquette questions… 1. When you know their name, do you say it after? (“zdravstvuyte Alex!”) And if it’s a professional, like a Dr, do you say their first or last name? (“zdravstvuyte, Dr. Ivanovo”) 2. At what point do you switch zdravstvuyte for privet? Let’s say you talk to a girl a few times and you get her phone number. The first time you call her, would you say privet?
idk, if this is still relevant for you, but I am gonna answer still. 1. If you are talking to someone you should address as "вы"(older person which is not your grandparent, your boss, complete stranger / people you don't have some friendship with) then you can say theyr name afterwards. For example you can say hello to your boss like this "Здравствуйте, Александр Петрович" But it is not necessary. In a usual conversation, when you say the name of the person after "здравствуйте" it is could be considered by someone as a sign that you have something to say something besides just saying hello, like restrained anger(But it's mostly about intonation, not the words) But if you clearly sound like a Russian learner you don't really have to worry about this, you can just don't say the name after "hello" 2. It's all about social positioning and friendship. In schools, for example, every student will adress to other students with "привет" even if you don't know them, and the teachers with "здравствуйте". If you work in the office you can adress to your сolleagues you know with "привет" and some of them you don't or your boss with "здравствуйте". Answering your question, if you meeting a girl in a bar/club, for example, you can even start with "привет". The general principle is simple: If you can have/planning to have a friendship or relationships with that person you say "привет" as soon as you met them. But if you are meeting for work, in the most of the situations you keep the "здравствуйте", especially if they are older than you/ have a higher job rank than you. In Russian, there is a phrase that often featured in movies about relationships between people who were just working together(like the relationships between professor and a student): "Может, перейдем на "Ты"?" which translates like "Can we switch to "you"(instead of official "you")" good luck learning russian)
Ankit kumar gupta “mam” does not mean teacher. Some use mam when addressing their mother, others use it as a formal way to address any woman, who you usually don’t know.
I learned Japanese for two years a while back because I "had to have two years foreign language" to graduate Highschool. Looking back, rolling my "R's" almost seems natural now. XD Having fun and an easy time saying these (on top of me using Duolingo for a bit recently too). Little challenge as always is to remember the phrasing. I'ma need to write those down on some notecards...
I want to learn Russian eventually in my life and the grammar seems to be similar to Spanish and other languages I've started learning but I think the main problem is that they have different characters and a very different alphabet and I'm not very good at adapting to something that doesn't have that sort of groundwork. but I think I'll try to start learning by ear for the moment because I still really want to learn it

Real Russian Club, @4:50 the informal 'hello' i saw three 'o' letters with difference pronounciation. this is confusing.
Thanks
Drasti is better because it's still formal even if it's shortened. I'm not going to say priviet to the police man at the airport lol 😆
