I'm a big fan of lapel pins! Love em'! But I have always left the bar behind my lapel and secured it through the lapel that way. I just like the look. I may try it on the outside one day. Great tip and video! Took a little tumble there, hope you're alright!
I was never sure about lapelpins maybe because I never saw a 'nice' one. But I definately liked this particular one. Keep up the great video's gentlemen, another 'like' from me
Greetings from Bermuda. Great video. I typically wear the small, unassuming lapel pins (country flag, team logo,...), but would like to move up to something more daring and pronounced.
Even if it’s not a real button hole isn’t it better to put the pin through where the button hole is stitched? I would rather that area had a hole than the lapel fabric.
For those who got a closed button hole like this, but still wishing to wear the lapel pin with the metal part on the back, to keep it straight you can simply use a small piece of tape (not ductape, normal tape), it will come off again without any damage.
You can also attach a small safety pin through only the rear side of the lapel. It works exactly like a boutonniere loop. Or you can simply use a needle and thread to make your own boutonniere loop.
You pinned it through the front... ??? No sir. Lol In my humble opinion, it looks 10 times better pinned through the back, that way folks do not see the end of the pen.
Awesome video thanks for the information on how to properly wear the lapel pin!
Just discovered the channel and consider me subscribed. Im starting to update my wardrobe after college and I really appreciate it.

I've been told as a wedding guest to skip the lapel pin bc flowery adornments are reserved for the groom and groomsmen. Is this really the case?
Beautiful waistcoat!
Would you ever wear a cravat to an evening event?
