Mini CEO Maddie is wearing her favorite PJ's as she guides use through this Kaleidoscope craft tutorial.
What you will need:
・ KMM STEAM DIY Kaleidoscope Kit which includes most of the items you need:
・ 1 cardboard kaleidoscope or an Empty Paper Towel Roll
・ 2 glitter tapes
・ 8 sticky backed paper sheets (6"x6")
・ 87 assorted beads
・ 8g assorted sequins
・ Glue - hot glue for adults or plain glue for kids
・ The glitter tape in the kit - or clear tape for the final steps
・ Scissors ✂️
🖌🎨🖍 Let’s Get Crafting!
First, pick your sticky paper sheet pattern to add onto your paper roll, then roll on your sticky paper sheet. Let this dry.
TIP: Sometimes an adult is helpful to secure the sticky paper.
Next, on the smaller roll, cut out some of the paper - and add some glue to it. Have an adult help roll on the paper. Let this dry.
TIP: Use glitter tape or washi tape to cover up the gaps in your pattern or glued sheets.
Then, slide the smaller "eye" tube onto the larger one. Add the protective plastic cover - with the ridge. (Watch Dad help us out in the video.)
Next, it's time to add your mirror and special effects. Using tape or glue - let's peel the plastic backing off the mirror. Follow the video instructions for taping all the pieces of mirror - facing inward in a 3D triangle shape.
Last, to add the kaleidoscope effects - add sequins and pieces that you like to the plastic small tray and cover the tray before inserting it on the kaleidoscope tube. Add the ring to secure it on. A grown ups help works well here.
