Wow, this isn't just a a simple cab view, it's a full ride along documentary with excellent narration and supplementary clips and a detailed review of each stations' unique history. You've truly outdone yourself here Paul, stellar work! If there aren't any, you should definitely consider covering other lines in this manner, especially since Britain has no shortage of railway infrastructure and history. Edit: I stand corrected, your channel is chock full of this stuff. With better thumbnails you could really explode, subbed with all notifs on! Sincerely, an American.
This is the first cab ride video I’ve seen with vocal narration, rather than subtitles. I have to say you did a pretty good job, which is why I subscribed. 🐨🇦🇺
Fantastic camera work and great editing- a real treat! Thank you so much. I particularly like the way you managed to film a passing Chiltern Line train on the approach to Finhely Road. I used to hop of the Met and onto the Jubilee there daily. Great memories.
I find your videos are interesting on many levels - not just the elevation or depth of the running line(s). You and the team pack in many information strands, visual interest and verbal emphasis. I found that my interest, reflecting your deep research for this edition, was only (slightly) marred by an intrusive level of music used during the opening and closing title sequences. But overall, a great presentation.
@@speedbird5409 very nice. I’ve had a ride in a northern line train from Golders Green to Kennington to Edgware and back to Golders Green. What really impressed me was how ATO has transformed the service. Acceleration has increased and 50 mph was attained between Kennington and Waterloo. Performance didn’t tail off towards 50 mph either like it does on the 1992 stock. I’m a train driver on the main line btw.
It’s mind-blowing that the Jubilee passes under the River Thames 4 times (1 time between Westminster and Waterloo, 1 time between Canada Water and Canary Wharf, 1 time between Canary Wharf and North Greenwich and 1 time between North Greenwich and Canning Town).
Amazing video. I miss London. I lived in Willesden Green (Dollis Hill tube station) and everyday used to be using that amazing public transport. Good days 🙂🙂🇬🇧🇧🇷
Very nice informative video. I like the variety of shots, not just concentrating on all driver's eye views, but showing the trains arrival and departures from the stations. The driver's eye views seem to work best on the outdoor portions, the tunnels are too dark. However, the narration helps make the trip between stations more interesting and speeds up the trip as well. I hope to ride on this line and other routes in the London Underground someday. This video is a good start.
Good ol' Video 125. x) I haven't watched their DEV of the Jubliee in a very long time, but I immediately recognised that the intro sequence was exact to the word - except for "Canary Wharf" instead of "London Bridge!" I also appreciate how you've based your script on the original fairly faithfully, with the additional updates and tweaks in the same style as the original. Bloody good job!
16:49 granted it's incredibly rare, but I have been on Metropolitan trains (alright maybe just 1) that stopped at Willesden Green at least 10 years ago, think it was when the Jubilee was having signal repairs (common shortly after the ATO implimentation). Never stopped at Neasden on the Metropolitan though.
Great work, at first I thought this was a recently recorded route. But from what I know, TfL don't really do them anymore for safety and security reasons.
I know I am going to get in trouble for this but who cares, right? I haven't been on the tube since the 60s but all I can remember is who complicated it was to figure out how to get around. (probably not too bad if you used it every day). And how horribly expensive it is to ride on! I still enjoyed the video so thank you.
I always thought the Jubilee Line was a driverless line. I had only traveled a few stops in the area of the platform screen doors. I'm now quite surprised that the line is conventional Platform screen doors need a precise landing. Do you have train control on the Jubilee line?
Good video - I particularly liked the narration, a nice change from having to read the sub-titles and on-screen graphics that other driver's-eye view videos use. I also liked the other views from the train that you used to add interest. But I nearly stopped the video before watching it - that music over the intro is just awful - so loud, and so wrong for a train vid!!
Metropolitan Amersham to aldgate with this please because Chiltern trainspotters did a good one but its only subtitles and i like this in the backround So can you do one
The acceleration and deceleration sounds are lifelike, all I can guess that this was filmed on a Go-Pro or similar which has a tendency to play with the resolution and make things seem really speeded up
strange naming to the Canada Water stop, as its spelling is too similar for happening to be adjacent to the older Canary Wharf one...watching English fouling Corporate-speak no longer bemuses..!

Paul has a perfect tone and beautifully modulated voice which adds so much to these cab rides.

mate i could watch your productions all day and night with a quiet ale .
Fun fact: Canary wharf was used as a film set for Star Wars: Rogue One
Bonus fun fact - while a shot from Canary Wharf made it into the trailer, after all the reshoots none of that scene actually made it into the movie
& many more films
this is so well made. great to watch. a real labour of love
Memories. Lived in Stanmore until I was 23...now in Australia. Thanks.
Great cab ride and a bonus history lesson, thank you
33 years born and grown in London, now living in the North. Memories 😎
Yes! My favourite line on the network! Great and informative video on this
Same
@@joelikeslu6816 Yep, shame that I haven’t been on it over a year now… :(
Yes :( and plus the cab rides haven't resumed :(
@@joelikeslu6816 I know, it is what it is...
Excellent video.
Cab ride, with narration, outside shots, and useful information.

although their comprehensiveness, however, has more opened the fella to faulty declarations (two's worth by now Corporateria's doxland)
What a fantastic vidio. Great shot. A big thumbs up from Chris 👍
Oh how I miss riding the cabs - I start working on the northern lines 1995 stock in September and cannot wait! Great video!
You are going to be a driver ?
@@daveb0789 No a train technician

This is like a Jago Hazzard video but with a full view of an entire line.

amazing paul
This is brilliant like dvd quality.
Excellent video!
Very professional! A small point - the deep tubes are 12 feet (approx) in diameter, not 12 metres.
My garden is 5m wide - I was mentally trying to picture a tube tunnel more than twice the width of my garden!

Neasden south junction also joins trains from aylesbury that have come from West Ruislip.
Please can I use 3 mins of your footage I am happy yo credit your channel. Thanks
what causes the extremely loud screaming noises while going through the underground ? its so loud u have to cover your ears
@Train_Paul 94? Will you make the Video "District Line (Upminster to Richmond) DRIVERS EYE VIEW"?
I’d love to one day in the future. Have to see if it is at all possible

I call it the noisey line! Deafening sometimes.
Wait. Was this cab ride in 2021? Because the cab rides are suspended because of the COVID-19
Filmed in February 2020, it’s in the description

45:10 Twelve _metre_ diameter tunnels? 🙂
Great video, but why are there no diver headlight seen lighten the walls in the tunnel? I've seen some videos where there is lighting. Thanks
