I think I have a problem with one of these right now on my Defender, the volume is on full, and I can't turn it down, or off, needless to say I can' t play it right now this way. thanks
I love the video but there's one thing you forgot to mention and I think it's important. If you test the pot from the wire ends or the plug, if you get no reading, the pot can be still good but you could have a break in the wire somewhere, either it's cut, broken inside or the rubber insulation has came off the wire and it is grounding to the case or whatever it's touching. Then, you will have to remove the whole pot and re-test it and replace wires if need be. Cheers
We've also had trouble finding white potentiometers recently. The good news is that the blue potentiometers should work just fine as long as the value is the same. We'll let you know if we find a supplier that has any of the white pots in stock. We will also be discussing your on our Live Show Episode 44 coming up on Thursday, October 1, 2020. Here's a link to the episode if you want to hear more of our thoughts on your question: ruclips.net/video/1Qrt5TiP920/видео.html
