It is great to learn how to adapt the tools I already own to do foiling. I purchased an electric specialty tool for nearly $150.00 and sent it back. I couldn't get the 'bang for my buck' that I felt was warranted by the price tag. Thank you for sharing your videos.
learned something new today -I did not want to purchase a laser printer but saw the silhouette foil at Michaels and bough it - found your videos and I was elated. Thank you so much. 😊
Sorry flower i have to agree with Tammy J, you may not be JM but i did learn so much from your time and patience that you showed in taking it step by step, thank you flower, with love from Scotland x
Excellent tutorial! So much information! Thank you! Easy to understand and spokesperson does not jabber about things not relevant to the technique! Wonderful! Thanks again!
Just a suggestion re the removal of excess foil. I’m a calligrapher and use gold leaf a lot on my work. Excess gold leaf is removed by buffing it gently with a soft paintbrush ( I’ve a favourite one I save for this and don’t use for anything else), it really buffs it nicely to a bright shine as well. Watching you use the blue tape I couldn’t help wondering if the soft paintbrush with a buff method would work better? Thanks for video. Very, very interesting. I don’t have a Cricut or Silhouette but do have a bug.
So nice to know of another use I didn’t know that “that” pressure foil existed. Now to buy it on sale I scored on foil a couple years ago when one of the craft stores clearances them out. I still have them somewhere in one of my boxes that ended up in storage
This was one of those awesome "AHA!!!" moments. Thanks so much for the idea...I often times wondered about the Silhouette foil since I own one but have never tried that particular foil. Thanks again and keep those videos coming!!! Blessings :)
You have a new fan in me! You may not be Jennifer McGuire, but you come up with some wonderful ideas and techniques like she does. I've only watched 2 of your videos...the ones about the foiling technique, but I can tell you...I love them. I have the Cricut Explore, Cricut Maker, Cuttlebug and Big Shot. I can't wait to try this technique! Awesome! Now that I'm subscribed, I need lots of videos from you. Ha ha! Thanks so much for sharing your talents and ideas with us!
Such a great technique and another way to get the most out of our dies. Thank you so much and I prefer to see just the technique in a video, my imagination is hard enough to control without 20 extra ideas to deal with LOL
Love your presentation style and was captivated by your comment about Jennifer McGuire who is a personal favorite of mine. I'm a stickler for grammar and language. Promise not to say "glue gunning" or "nail gunning" and I'll br loyal you. 😊🤗
love this, scouring the internet as I type to see where i can get them int he Netherlands...exciting, thanks for showing me/us...you think a brush would remove unwanted bits? my cardstock doesn;t really like sticky tape;-)
No, adhesive foil is totally different. Adhesive foil sticks across its entire surface. This unique transfer foil only sticks where heavy pressure is applied (kind of like carbon paper, if you remember that)
Great ideas - thank you! The only problem I had was that I could barely hear you. I had the volume on my computer and the video up to maximum, but it was still very low.
I agree with everyone else these are great tutorials! You really have a knack with this and I love your little bit of Comedy interjected there too :-)! I'm glad I came across your videos and yes I have subscribed! Thanks again for a great tip! :-)
Lmao, I just found you my 1st video and let me say u r awesome the Jennifer comment made me almost spit my iced tea out that's what I think when I watch her she's so amazing thanks for the Laughing Count Me In as a new subscriber
Pretty results, but way too much extra work for me - lots of fussing with tape and trial and error. Not sure it's worth it for myself, but I can see how others might if they are desperate for foiling without investing in a minc or buying deco foil. I like the very first thing where it looks like you used a pen or pencil - that makes more sense to me. I wonder if those sheets would work with the deco foil glue, stamping, and hand/writing pressure!
It works with firm handwriting pressure, as I showed, or with a diecutter or embossing machine. You would use the other less expensive foils with glue and stamping.
Have you tried embossing the folder with the foiling? I saw a woman do that on RUclips today: m.ruclips.net/video/iAicoQBRt5Q/видео.html But she used heat to adhere the foil to her card stock. I'm wondering how that would work with the cuttlebug and a laminator or perhaps using your technique with the raised bits foiled and embossed
The advantage of this kind of foil is that you don't need heat, toner or adhesive, and that you can foil a design from an embossing folder, so that of course, comes with other tradeoffs. You can reuse the foil until it is gone and might even be able to do a positive and negative with some careful planning. Different foils and techniques for different needs, no one size fits all.

I am so thrilled that you showed us another way using the foil other than the inkjeter printer kudos to you yay !
I love it!!! Absolutely gorgeous and I really appreciate you sharing how you figured out what sandwich to use!!!
Beautiful! Looking forward to seeing how you use the foil transfer with Silhouette machine!
So nice to know of another use
I didn’t know that “that” pressure foil existed. Now to buy it on sale

Awesome I have a Cuttlebug and was looking to try somewhere foiling!
Thank you. Great instructions, wonderful technique. Loved that you mentioned JM. So very funny.

Wow! Now I want to buy foil!! Thank you for making it so easy to follow
Gracias. Espec5acular y muy economico.
Usted utilizo algun pegante para adherir el foil al papel?gracias
Thank you. No, there is no glue, only pressure
CleverSomeday gracias... impresionante. Genial...

Thank you for this video, I bought a gemini foil die by mistake but now can use it finges frossed with this idea
Very neat idea! Had no problems hearing you on my end. Thanks for sharing!
Oh wow, I love this idea! Was looking for something new for Christmas cards and you have just given me a great idea! Thanks.
Wonderful! Plus, I love your humor, just enough snark🙂 Thank you, I have been wanting to play with foiling.
This looks fabulous!
So informative. I am now anxious to try this with my Cuttlebug. Using painter’s tape was masterful. TFS!✅
Excellent tutorial. Thank you for the inspiration. Wishing you a super week. Hugs Susan
Amazing i have been looking for foil like this for ages , thank you for video and excellent tutorial.
Can I do this with Stamps?
Can’t wait to try this!
Thanks for sharing!
This is a beautiful tecnique!
Amazing video! And I must say I agree with Tammy J! Thank you so much for showing us this technique (specially without the publicity!) Happy Holidays!

Such a great technique and another way to get the most out of our dies. Thank you so much and I prefer to see just the technique in a video, my imagination is hard enough to control without 20 extra ideas to deal with LOL
This is so pretty. Thanks for showing us.
Very pretty, thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing your talent, great idea!
Thank you for this!!!
I can't wait to try this. have you used any other brands' foils?
as far as I know, there are no other brands of this type of foil.
Will any transfer foil work for this technique?
no, not at all. This only works with the Curio transfer foil.
You may not be JM but man this awesome and so much fun. TFS
Thank you Kay.

Be not br. Fat fingers flying furiously over skinny keys
love this, scouring the internet as I type to see where i can get them int he Netherlands...exciting, thanks for showing me/us...you think a brush would remove unwanted bits? my cardstock doesn;t really like sticky tape;-)
I did have someone report that a brush worked! Hope you are able to find the foil and give it a try.
Thank you so much. What a great idea.
Can't wait to try this!!
Amazing tutorials..!! Wow..!! Thanks a lot
Thanks for sharing.
Great technique, thank you!
Would you say that the Cricut adhesive foil would work for this technique?
No, adhesive foil is totally different. Adhesive foil sticks across its entire surface. This unique transfer foil only sticks where heavy pressure is applied (kind of like carbon paper, if you remember that)
Thank you!
i will have to give this a try! Thank you!
What is that foil? Is there any similar product with low cost
link to foil above. If there is a lower cost alternative I am not aware of it.
Great tutorial thank you
Awesome idea! Thanks for sharing!!
Wow, another way to do foiling!
Love your videos
Thank you for sharing.
Great ideas - thank you! The only problem I had was that I could barely hear you. I had the volume on my computer and the video up to maximum, but it was still very low.

I must have missed something. How do I get the design from the paper to the project. Transfer tape?
Not sure what you are asking. The Cuttlebug permanently transfers the foil to the cardstock.
Wow! Thanks for the inspiration.
love this - wow - wow - wow amazing
Thank you so much for this tutorial
how can you do this to add to your piece of art on canavas
Not sure how well this would work on canvas because of the texture. Foil vinyl might be a better way to do in that case.
Wow This is really cool TFS!!
Thank you, I'll have to try this.
Lmao, I just found you my 1st video and let me say u r awesome the Jennifer comment made me almost spit my iced tea out that's what I think when I watch her she's so amazing thanks for the Laughing Count Me In as a new subscriber
TFS. Great video.
Too too cool!!! Thank you!!
You are tenacious - it is too "iffy" for me..... TFS!
Thank you
Onde compro esse papel
sources are in video description above
This great. thanks for sharing. I will say though, that even with my volume all the way up, I had a hard time hearing you.
Rhandi DeMars Yes, very difficult to hear.
@@pamelakapplinger6578 I had zero problems what so ever - you either have bad hearing or bad audio.
Rhandi DeMar
@@mikkelkirketerp4884 lol i had no problems either ;-)
This was great info and I heard you just fine
Fantastic
Does that work with other foils? Your volume is really low. I put my volume up all the way but I had to use my headphones in order to hear you.
no it does not work with other foils. not sure why some people are having trouble with the volume and others aren't.
Looks promising...
Pretty results, but way too much extra work for me - lots of fussing with tape and trial and error. Sorry, looked interesting but couldn't hear You with full volume & earbuds.
Have you tried embossing the folder with the foiling?

But she used heat to adhere the foil to her card stock. I'm wondering how that would work with the cuttlebug and a laminator or perhaps using your technique with the raised bits foiled and embossed
Awesome. Anyone send this to Jennifer McGuire yet? Lol
Wasn't able to hear you at all on this video, even though my volume was on high. Just wanted you to be aware.
Can't hear a word!
Too much waste of foil. With other techniques you may use the negative onto another card. Can't do that with this one. Thanks for sharing, anyway.
The advantage of this kind of foil is that you don't need heat, toner or adhesive, and that you can foil a design from an embossing folder, so that of course, comes with other tradeoffs.
