My grandfather died of Lou Gehrig's disease a few years back and my grandmother took care of him in every way his final few months. When I saw this with her in theaters she laughed her ass off for a good minute lol.
I'm Canadian, not only do I find the joke funny, but I think he may have wished it upon him. I mean this is the same guy who made a wish that his teddy bear could talk. So it would be no stretch if the words "I wish" and "I hope" would cause someone to have it.
Clip is absolutely hilarious take a joke people. However, if there's a disease I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy it's Lou Gehrig's disease. Both can be true.
I like Norm Macadonald’s SNL skit when he played Lou Gehrig the baseball player giving his retirement speech to the audience. “Today, I feel like the luckiest man on the face of the Earth.” *Norm MacDonald pause* “I’m of course being sarcastic! They named a disease after me! I might actually be the unluckiest man on the planet!” I’m paraphrasing like crazy, but I just wanted to share the memory if you do to, lol if not, see if it’s on RUclips, look it up.
Ur a joke bro it is funny and I have als but respect people some aren’t gonna find this funny als is terminal and u become paralyzed in all parts of your body eventually yes it’s a great scene but not everyone will feel the way u do bro just looking out for u
it seems wrong to make a joke in our society these days. i dont think the makers of the movie are directing it to certain people who have lou gherigs disease. its a JOKE
It's hilarious no matter how you look at it. Everything has a humor side to it. Except for the lefties that want to take everything literal and cry about it
I agree...my mom died of it. May the immature idiots who poke fun of it never experience it themselves. They would have to have a breathing machine to keep them alive. They literally and figuratively would not be laughing then.
I find this line to be tasteless, disgusting, and unfunny, but it would be wrong to ban any sort of jokes because a few, even if many people are offended. People have the right to laugh at certain jokes or be offended by certain jokes.
This is untasteful considering it's the worst disease someone can get they definitely could have made this movie without this "joke" because if anyone that hears it that knows somebody with ASL it is really not funny at all it's stupid... And one of the few ways people with ASL get enjoyment out of life is laughter so they watch comedy movies so when they hear this it's like a low blow to a person that can't move or do much at all

It's how he said it and how random of a thing to say that makes it most hilarious.
@@jboientertainmentxd7522 Nah. What made it hilarious was that it brings John's wishing power to new light. Because Rex ends up getting it.
Just the complete and utter randomness of this scene is hilarious 😂😂
Lmfao. I wish Gehrig's on people all the time.
Only thing you can do
One of the funniest lines in the movie.
This is fucking hilarious, I died. I fucking died at this.
Yeah, hilarious...Keep trying though.
Why does John wish illnesses on people😂 like in Ted 2 he said he hopes the attorneys kids get bird flu😂
Considering what happened to the last guy, that attorney's gonna need to book ahead in the hospital.
I always laugh at that part
Happy Incorporated so do i
I laughed here but even more when it said at the end of the film that he actually died of Lou Gehrig’s disease.
People are so over sensitive, my grandfather died of the disease, and this clip is still fucking hilarious. Go to Canada.

Quite specific the death wish. Always cracks me up
And he got his wish at the end
Well at the end, he got his wish
Sean Whelan Whelan John got all his wishes
John: wishes for Rex to get LG disease.
God: Can do!
Dudes got some real wishing power
One of the funniest scenes
Me to every rude customer I’ve served.

To be fair, he was simply hoping the worst thing imaginable happening to the guy because the guy sexually harassed his girlfriend.
