Andy kershaw played them on his radio show . The chemistry they have is special. Iam glad that I saw them before going separate ways. Once in the famous Albert hole in Bristol on a Wednesday. Drove all the way home from London for that one and they didn't disappoint. I asked for out come the freaks and Chris replied maybe later. Then another time in a cloister in the gardens of Ilford Manor. A very intimate atmospheric evening . You could of heard a penny drop . Everybody was absolutely engaged . A very precious moment .
@michaeldera4298 - I've had the privilege of seeing Chris Wood at Sidmouth a few times but last year (or was it 2022?) he brought Andy on at the end and they did Hares on the Mountain which was a wonderful end to the afternoon. Imagine my joy when I discovered that they will be performing together this year at Sidmouth, at the Ham on Friday 9th August (afternoon) - you can get down there?
I heard this tune for the first time when I was in high school over ten years ago and it instantly became my favourite song. I imagine that tune at the end is always playing somewhere, and when I play the song I'm just tuning in to it.
Where was this recorded before? So hard to hear the lyrics (then again, I'm hard of hearing). When I look this up online, the results really don't seem to match what I'm hearing.
What an incredible mind Chris Wood must have, to pluck the strings of not just ONE violin, but TWO of them, without as much as looking at them, AND being able to concentrate on SINGING at the same time! Must be his greatest achievement!

Brilliant!!
Love it when these two get together!
Absolutly beau-ti-ful, so poetic, so light and deep in the same time.
To Oriane, you have just described ALL their songs!

Est-ce que on peu danser cette chanson? C'est une mazurka?/ Is this song to dance? Is it a mazurka?
There is actually a couple dancing towards the ens of the clip, did you notice? 🙂
Transcendent
Chris is a good singer but I wish he would open his mouth more to sing instead of singing through his teeth!
