Thanks, this was the best demonstration of how to use the Luminar Neo Catalogue I have seen. It was very helpful to me. I have watched several other videos of yours on Luminar Neo and I like your detailed explanation of each tool and what it does as you apply it.
Yes - I'm new to Luminar as well and this the best demonstration - appreciate the straight-forward approach, level of detail, and steady pace. Great job and Thank you!
A lot of very important information. A lot of infos, but, with the stop and go with this video, I should remember better. You are a very good communicator! 👌
Hello, very well explained, I have been a Luminar Neo user since its inception, but I want to make sure I don't make mistakes, that's why this tutorial was very useful for me.
Finally, I understand. I found editing easier to figure out than organizing . One question. If I have added pictures from a SD card to a Luminar Geo folder , can I delete those images from my SD card now ?
Just The info I've been looking for, thanks for making this video!! I somehow ended up with LOTS of copies of the same photos, my assumption is each one is a separate photo of the adaption? Do you have a video on clearing these?
Perfect! IMO, this video is made for the pros that want to leave LR. And make sure we get the powerful culling process of a large scale project, renaming etc. Volume photographers need this. The other Neo videos mostly focus on the AI/Post options, which is fine and all, but this was skipped over by many. So happy it's non destructive. Bye, bye light room/adobe! Great video and beautiful images BTW..
Excellent tutorial. I've bookmarked you. A question: Is it possible to MOVE a catalog to another drive if it gets too large for that drive over time or do you have to just create a new catalog? Thanks. I'm going to go though your course. I recently upgraded from Aurora HDR and Luminar 4 to NEO. Not sure why I waited so long. This will streamline and improve things in one program rather than bouncing around through multiple programs to do my Real Estate edits.
In essence, it's not a true catalog like with Lightroom. If you run out of hard drive space you can move images to an external drive. Luminar Neo can still access those files in the original catalog. You'll just need to tell Luminar neo the files have been moved to a new location. Or attach the hard drive and move them from within Luminar and it will auto sync.
Hi! Thanks for the awesome tutorial! I have a question. I plan to link my external hard drive to Luminar Neo. After the link is created for all existing folders and subfolders on the hard and I want to create a new one on the hard drive, will it automatically show up in Luminar, or I have to manually add it? Thanks :)
Hi Parker. a greeting here from Copenhagen Denmark. I have both LR and PS but I don't use it much, only LR because of the library Do you think that I can drop LR and PS and then only use LN? Thanks in advance
Great resume. I have a question that's a pain for me. I have more than 3 or 4 hard drives with a lot of family photos which are duplicated, exif data wrong, samep hoto but diff quality, date creation is not the same as real date also bunch of videos (the biggest disaster you can imagine). Pls, I'm looking for a soft that I create a new directory organizing all photos from Y-M-D (as example) from all these sources. And of course 100% security that I wont lost any photo. From your experience what do you recommend? Thank much!!!
I use Lightroom Classic to organize my images. After importing all images you can sort by numerous options, tag duplicates, and then filter those and delete.
I am new to Luminar Neo and I followed the instructions as shown in the tutorial by moving photos from a folder to a sub folder the photos appear in the sub folder but also stay in the main folder. I understand in the tutorial that the photos move meaning they are removed from the main folder and into the sub folder and you also said the photos could be moved back to the main folder. I little confusion. Or am I not understanding the process properly?
Sorry, I can't help any longer. I no longer have a subscription for Luminar or it expires soon. I haven't used it in months since I stuck with Lightroom instead. I should probably unlist all my Luminar tuts in early 2024.
Like many, I've recently moved from the Evil Adobe Empire. I quite like NEO. However, I think the inability to rename files and add keywords is probably going to be the reason I move on to something else. The search engine seems to work quite well, but I have over 100,000 images and it only looks at file and folder names. Not very useful at all !!!!
A basic function like importing photos from a shootout is hidden!! I think managing photos in Luminar is still very basic and the library manager of Lightroom is much better. In Luminar you don't have the possibility to tag photos. Skylum should focus more on improving the library manager instead of the AI functionality of the program.

Awesome job!! You are one of the best on youtube!!!
Thank you 😀
So informative. I have been messing around in the program and struggling with this topic.
Thank you for this series. It's very helpful and well done.
You’re welcome
Thanks for this educational video! It was highly needed, thanks 👍
My pleasure!

This was very helpful, thank you! I wish it supported user-generated metatags not just flags and favorites for organizing images.
Subscribed! 🙂

how do you get some photos into the catalog in the first place.

How is your catalog running with over 96K images in it?
Don't remember. I stopped using Luminar around 10 months ago.
@@ParkerPhotographic Interesting, can I ask why?
I prefer Lightoom.
