Oh man....blast from the past. I used to go buy boat traders and parts traders. Go to 7-11 and grab a sandwich or sombreros and get a burrito, drive my 1980 body lifted Toyota over to the parking area on the runway at Gillespie, eat lunch and see what I wanted that I couldn't afford. This was the late 80's for me. Thanks for the memories, and loved the vid.

When using any kind of drill bit or hole saw, I use a magnetic mount on the drill press table that holds a valve connected to an air hose. A very light amount of air aimed at the bit and piece keeps the bit cool which helps them last longer, but avoids the mess of drilling oils and such.

I love the real life filming of fabrication and purpose built machines you build. Great channel with no BS. Have to say with all the fab work you do I would suggest investing in a hydraulic iron worker machine (punch/press/shear/brake). Might be a few grand but punching 3/4 holes in 1/2” material and shearing stuff off in seconds sure beats drilling/plasma cutting. Ever try one? You will not regret it. Nicest part is that they are clean- no slag/dust. Worst part is that it makes your wallet thin temporarily :)

The HS Auto Shop that I volunteer at got one of those Miller Spectrums the other day and they're awesome. Sure beats using a cutting wheel or the Sawzall. Pretty clean if you take your time. So much less grinding. Had to teach the kids to use a straight edge to get their cuts straight. They'll be getting a TIG so I'll be learning how to use that as well.

Your videos have definitely inspired me to tackle things I probably had no business trying going back to slamming my S10 in the 90’s and know building a couple of Jeeps. Keep at it bud! Hope to catch you on a trail again one day!
