I think BoF 2 is the best of the serie since they found a way to emotionally involve the player into the storyline. When the last boss just shattered all my team, I remember how angry I was and just wanted to smash the boss in the face so bad. As I thought the game was ending like that, I started pressing all directions I was like " KILL HIM, MOVE! " then he stands up, epic charge Evan and slash his face open... Happy childhood memories :)

Best Breath of Fire game, hands down. Wish someone would bring this series back from the dead, but that level of necromancy is beyond anything Capcom is capable of.

I find myself aligning myself with what OG Christianity represents but find myself seeing the truth of many lambs being blindly led to the slaughter in the name of capitalism or worse, nationalism… The hubris of man, the decadence of man. Of Adam and EVA. Like pilgrims in an unholy land. As if they’ve all given themselves over to Pagan Rome in spirt yet still espouse believing in God. Knowing the truth is a terrible burden. Will we still have the courage to take up our swords and make false gods bleed!
That's the point. The Japanese have always vilified Christianity, and have used it to represent evil. Need a bad guy? Just put him in a cathedral and play Bach-inspired pipe organ music. But this game takes it to the absolute extreme.

Sorry, but religious issues as a metaphor are at the heart of this game. It’s themes go beyond that, many worldly things can be worshipped in the guise of the spiritual. Those in Japan can resonate with blindly worshiping at the alter of money and greed.
