I simultaneously like them as a couple and yet I also like them as just friends. I personally just wish we could have more media that has opposite-gendered best friends remain platonic.

Me as well. I’m a complete sucker for “friends to lovers”, which is probably why I love Clarkeman so much. But at the same time, their banter and healthy platonic relationship is adorable and it is such good representation for the normalization of opposite sex friendships. I’m completely torn between loving them as a couple and loving them as friends. I think I’d be happy if the show ended with them together or not.
@@audtea I also like the implication that she actually fell for him first and not vice versa. That definitely explains why she was shocked that he had feelings for her at the beginning of the show. She would have to face the possibility of starting a relationship when she could potentially lose him.
