    i have a question. if the subsidy were for both (producer and consumer) and the government subsidy were in percentages (example 70%). how should the exercise be set up?

    I swore the PS and CS were the other way around

      The shaded regions in this video represent the "change" in CS and PS. You're right that CS is on the top and PS on the bottom, but here visualizing the CS and PS themselves is very confusing since they "overlap" a lot when there is a subsidy. So, the best way to visualize here is to think about how much each changes by. CS is the top triangle, and therefore the part below the usual CS is how much it "increases", and the part above the normal PS is how much it increases.
