This is a good video. Another issue is that medical professionals are not adequately compensated, and not only in money. Some practices that are owned by outside companies have fewer support staff, which adds to the problem.

You’re correct about all except the compensation part. Rural medicine tends to pay better due to the demand, it’s more so do to current generations not wanting to live in a rural area, far away from everything.

rural physicians need higher compensation, Medicare reimbursement should also be higher to keep the hospitals open and running.

The only way this will happen is if these people swap out leadership at the state level in the next election.

Lifted from THE FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY OF WESTERN MONTANA "LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT We acknowledge that education, health, and legal systems have led to the direct removal, oppression, and marginalization of Indigenous people throughout Montana and the nation. The Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana strives to be a community ally by educating faculty and residents how to provide culturally-safe services, improve access to care, and enhance equity for Indigenous peoples." What kind of rural kid is going to want to put up with this marxist crap, and pretty much have to do a struggle session every day and be treated like his pioneer ancestors were evil oppressors?? How can doctors treat rural patients when they are brain washed into hating rural people? Get politics and DEI out of medical education.
